Episode 147: Life of the Sea Elf 1

138th login.

A ship goes through the sea plains. The fisherman's guild [Amitilician Fisheries Cooperative] is a sailboat on loan from Dorad. The members of the Alliance are busy working on the deck.

In that, I poked my elbow at the railing and looked out at the sea. The waves are calm and the wind is blowing to such an extent that it does not interfere with sailboat navigation. The sun isn't strong either, I'd say a good sailing day.

"Oh, Fist. You didn't get seasick?

That's what I said. There's one guy approaching. He's a big man with muscles pushing his clothes up. He wraps bandanas around his head, and he also looks like a low-end pirate of the temple imagined by ordinary people in reality, but he's the guild master of [Fisheries Association], under, union leader. His name is Bintro.

"It's the third time I've traveled by boat, but I've never been."

"Well, that's quite a thing. Well, there's no such thing as a guy who gets drunk on a wave like this."

and Bintro laughs. If you think about running on the waves, you won't get in while you're shaking to this extent, but the weak ones are weak, the ones who get motion sickness.

"But I'm sorry. I can't believe you let the ship out just to send me one."

"Nah, you owe me this ship."

Yes, this ship was used by all the pirates we controlled on the way home from Bruinsell Island. It has been repaired and renovated and handed over to the [Fisheries Association].

"If you have anything to say about the ocean, tell me because it will help you as much as possible. It's not like we can't afford it now that we're operating on two ships."

Bintro said in a good mood as he bashed the railing.

"Did you borrow from Dorad again?

"Oh. First we need to learn how to operate a ship or something. I don't know when the pirates will spring up again, and it's only natural to hone their manoeuvring and sailing skills. Otherwise, you can't even go away."

"That said, it's not the right boat for fishing."

The shape is like a ship coming out to some Caribbean pirate. It would be good for putting people and supplies on board, but it doesn't look user-friendly for catching fish.

"This one's for maritime security and shipping. I'm going to make some money and build a fishing boat once I've saved some money. We're still a long way from realizing our dreams. Before I do, I have to pay my debts to you!

Yeah, speaking of which, I guess the purpose of the [Fisheries Association] was to build a fishing base on an island off the Dorad coast. I want you to do your best. And when good seafood comes in, I want you to turn it over here. I also got a good amount of fish this time aboard.

"So, what about the ocean these days?

Keep your back on the railing and ask Bintro. How does the sea of Dorad look now from [Fisheries Association]?

"Pirates haven't shown themselves since base control in the meantime. I don't think there was any information on the base outside of there. If you find him, you'll have to catch him alive as long as you can."

Bintro said as he leaned against the railing as well. I guess you can see the pirates cleaned up with that. The GAO specs won't spring infinitely.

"So, I think Johnny's guy tells me that in the ocean lately, it seems rough. We just can't feel it. If it's the sea elves, they might be getting a little more details, but so far there's no further information."

"What happened to the Cesar Pent rumors?

"Neither have we encountered them directly. I feel like I'm just being careful. If you're here, I'm stuck. I'm ready for that, too. Try what it tastes like"

"When you go fishing for it, call me."

"Ouch."

Hold firmly the hand that Bintro has been offering. Okay, okay, you can't miss the chance to get fantasy ingredients.

"It's that island."

I see two islands. Bintro pointed to the larger island on his left. The greenery is abundant, but a few meters from the sea level is like a cliff, and I don't see a beach that could land. Trees that look like green trees cannot be seen from this position.

"The south side of the island is the bay. We have to break in there from between the island and the island to land, but the currents are strange around that island, and we're refusing to approach the ship. Even on this ship, you can't go in there. Well, even if I let you in, the bay itself is shallow, so we can't go on this ship."

"So how do we get there?

"I hear Johnny made it through the waves on the surfboard. He said he met the sea elf because it was there. When we landed, they led the boat to the sea elves."

Does this mean that the sea elves control the current around the island itself? Can you do that, too? If you do take a closer look, I feel the water sperm movement is active though.

"That's why. Good luck with this."

"Well, you can handle it."

If this is about the distance, travel on [water walking] and climb the cliffs on [wall walking] to enter the woods. Alternatively, can we jump across the current and head directly into the river?

"But when you guys go to the Sea Elf settlement, do you always get Johnny to touch you first?

"Visiting every ship is not so frequent. Well, if you look at the island from here for a while, maybe you'll come in contact from over there? You know a lot about sea elves, don't you?

"Just one."

There is no guarantee that Ursula will come out conveniently. First of all, I wasn't promising you a day to visit. Time is finite, and I can't help but wait in anticipation of something I can't guess.

"In the meantime, let's go."

Activate [Aquatic Walking] to jump over the railings and land on the surface of the sea.

"Quinn, let's go. Bintro, thank you so much."

"Whoa. Call me back when you get home."

Call on Quinn and say thank you to Bintro. Quinn jumped, so we headed to the island together.

I found it close, but up to about 20 meters from the island, it seems to be a strange area of the current. The tide is moving complicated and I can't read the flow. However, it seems that the ingress is eventually spilling out of the area.

"Well, there's nothing more to it than this."

Leap and break into the area. There is no change in the flow itself. I was also thinking about the possibility of being intercepted, but there was no movement like that.

Kick the surface of the sea, kick the universe, kick the shoreline and step into the edge of the forest. There is no noticeable movement so far on the island side. [Signal perception] Even if I explore it, there are just a few animal reactions. Bovines and such seem to live normally. The island is big there, too, and those guys usually swim and don't cross the ocean. Isn't it strange to be here?

The vegetation does not appear to be so different from the area around Dread. There's a lot of grass to the knee and it's hard to walk, but what a place where people don't step in.

Walk along the outer circumference of the island, making sure only to be alert. I saw the bintros' ships go away.

After a short walk, you will also see another island. The waves were high between the island and the island, and I thought it would be easy to flip around about the boat. Obviously the waves are only abnormal here.

And then Quinn stopped. I'll stop my legs, too, and explore the perimeter. There were some reactions. I'm slowly approaching this one. It is not an animal.

"Probably a sea elf. Quinn, wait here for a second."

Keep the emerald tree bills out from under your clothes and wait for the movement over there. A little while later, the sea elves showed themselves as expected.

Purple eyes in silver hair, and satin ears stretching back. Men in sea elves, with the same characteristics as Ursula we met before. Muscular and more successful than the forest elves.

Because it's land, or I normally wear clothes. This feels no different than what Zachris and the others wore. Some carry bows, but many hold them.

"Nice to meet you."

I spoke to them on the alert, in elf from here.

"Gentiles? How did you get to this island?

"[Fisheries Association] sent me close. My name is Fist. Haven't you heard from Ursula?

"Oh, you were the fist"

When I say to the short haired sea elf inquiry, pointing to the bills on my chest, the man lowers his chin.

"A Gentile, who is friendship with his fellow forest countrymen, said he would come one of these days. Looks like Ursula took care of you."

"No, they taught us about the ocean, so we're each other."

"He said he was interested in our lives, but is that the purpose of this visit?

"Oh. I want to experience what life the sea elves lead. I have also been looked after in a forest elf settlement with it. I'm sorry to push you all of a sudden, but would you get permission?

Anyway, he's here without an appointment. Ursula said you'd be welcome when you got here, but some things would be convenient over there. If it's not convenient, we'll have to put it back out.

But the man in the sea elf nodded with pleasure.

"I don't mind. I guess wanting to experience life means you'll do your job as a part of us? I also want to hear about land. Let me show you to the village."

That said, the man turned his heel back. The other elves follow suit. Follow me, I guess.

Encouraged Quinn with his eyes, followed them.

"By the way, is it a coincidence you found me?

Ask Tobias, the leader of this small group, as he travels through the forest.

"I had my eyes on the outer perimeter of the island. I rushed for a tip that someone had landed with a phantom beast."

Tobias looked at Quinn and answered. Quinn, who is curious about the sea elves, does not seem to care about itself, but walks slowly.

"After all, are you alert to intruders"

"I'm not usually that nervous. I've been thinking about the ocean lately."

"Is there direct damage to the sea elves?

"I don't have one at the moment... I don't know what's ahead"

and Tobias shook his neck sideways with a sinister face.

It's not a problem because there is no damage now. Rough fishing grounds remain directly connected to their lives, and they cannot deny the possibility of direct damage to themselves more than they know the cause.

I wish I could do something about it, but as I walked, my vision opened. I can see the sea ahead of me through the woods.

"Ooh... this again"

What was spreading in front of me was a far shallow bay, as Bintro had said. Looking north, there was a forest beyond the sandy beach and a large emerald tree. On the south side you can see another island. It's like blocking the tip of two headlands protruding south from a large island. Well, with that current and this is the placement of the island, you won't know from the outside that there is a bay or who lives there.

"Hmm?

Second, I found a shadow on the smaller island. Precisely, between the island and the island. [Farsighted] Check it out, there are several sea elves on the rough waves. Men and women alike were in shades, and they were on things like boards.

"Surfboard?

"It's what a Gentile named Johnny used to get lost here. It was quite a pleasure and spread quickly"

Tobias explained to me with a laugh. You spreading surfing, Johnny.

Oh, the president used to say that sea elves are supposed to be funny, you mean this.
