Chapter 1335: Can I Ask You to Add a Scene for Me?
She was just keeping up a façade of being quiet and demure, okay?
Inside she was super, super excited.
Xu Chen nodded. As soon as they started filming the first scene, Qin Shen Shen’s gaze immediately shifted to the man.
The first scene of "Broken Star" takes place before the Ye Family was wiped out. Ye Chen is the second son, and at Tiger Roar Manor he’s practicing sword skills with his elder brother Ye Ying.
The actor playing Ye Ying is a seasoned veteran who’s always been cast in supporting roles. This time his screen time isn’t that much either, but acting opposite Huo Jinyan, the tension is still very strong.
This was Qin Shen Shen’s first time watching Huo Jinyan act live on set. Seeing him bring the character she’d written on the page to life, she still couldn’t control her racing heartbeat.
Excitement, honor, all sorts of giddy emotions were bubbling up.
Since today was the first day, there weren’t many scenes scheduled. They wrapped earlier than expected.
Qin Shen Shen walked out of the studio in a daze, planning to grab a cab back to the hotel for dinner.
It had been way too much information for her today. She’d added Xu Chen on WeChat, talked to her idol, and even watched her idol filming right in front of her.
Just as she was waiting for a taxi, the person she’d been thinking about suddenly appeared right before her eyes.
"Shen Shen." Xu Chen was in the passenger seat, looking at the girl in front of the car.
"Brother Chen." Once she realized what was happening, she quickly nodded and greeted him, her eyes subconsciously drifting toward the dark glass of the back seat.
Could her idol be inside?
He should be inside!
Xu Chen seemed to see right through her little thoughts and asked, "Where are you staying?"
Qin Shen Shen reported the name of the hotel. The crew basically all stayed at the same hotel—made it easier to communicate.
Xu Chen nodded without the slightest surprise. "Get in, we’ll give you a ride."
"Huh? Is that okay?" Qin Shen Shen’s excited little heart was practically rippling.
There was no way she could resist the temptation of her idol. She nodded vigorously. "Okay, okay!"
The moment she opened the car door, she really did see Huo Jinyan.
"M–my... God..."
"Hurry in and sit down." Huo Jinyan called to her.
The smile at the corner of his mouth was still gentle. He’d already changed into casual clothes, and he was still holding the same script from the afternoon.
Huo Jinyan was really dedicated to his work.
Right before getting in the car, Qin Shen Shen had been wondering how she should greet Huo Jinyan.
Maybe just a little wave would do.
In the end she was too nervous. She sat stiffly to one side, pressed close to the car door, and to avoid awkwardness she lowered her head and started looking at her phone.
Ahhh!
Her idol was right next to her!
Qin Shen Shen, if you just stretch out your hand a little, you could touch your idol’s abs.
Xu Chen saw Qin Shen Shen’s reaction in the rearview mirror, his smile deepening as he continued to watch with interest.
Huo Jinyan cleared his throat lightly. Qin Shen Shen pretended not to notice and kept playing her game.
But the corner of her eye was still sneaking glances at him.
Was her idol trying to talk to her?
But she hadn’t thought up her lines yet.
Should she... confess again?
"Screenwriter Qin." That pleasant male voice sounded inside the car.
"Here!" Qin Shen Shen’s heart gave a jolt, and she hurriedly looked up at him.
"You don’t have to react that strongly." Huo Jinyan was amused by her response.
"Mr. Huo, did you need something from me?" Qin Shen Shen looked at him very seriously.
She felt that always calling him "God" was a bit too unreserved.
Calling him "Mr. Huo" was pretty good, and felt quite warm and familiar.
Huo Jinyan couldn’t help smiling again, thinking this girl was actually quite interesting.
He cleared his throat and pointed at the script—turned out there were a few transitions where he wanted to give her his own suggestions.
