Chapter 1303: I Really Do Like Him
Lu Xingzhi saw that she finally relaxed, stopped overthinking, and felt at ease.
"It’s okay to eat once in a while, right? Besides, these days, I’ve lost a lot of weight. So let’s make up for it a bit! At worst, I’ll exercise a little more." Xiong Yali just wanted to fill her stomach first, then take a bath and have a nice sleep.
After she wakes up, she’ll do her makeup nicely and wait for Yin Molili to return.
"Then let’s eat!" Lu Xingzhi asked her, "Do you want to eat at home or go out?"
"Let’s just eat at home! I don’t feel like going out looking like this." Xiong Yali knew how she looked right now; she wasn’t at her best. It was incredible that Yin Molili could even look at her and still coax her.
"Alright then!" Lu Xingzhi pulled out her phone, made a call, and after hanging up, said, "Someone will deliver food in a bit."
"Thank you, Little Zhi Liao. I actually am aware of these things, but knowing is one thing and doing is another." Xiong Yali knew she was overthinking again, getting petty.
It was also because she felt insecure.
Lu Xingzhi indeed was fearless; that’s because she had confidence.
And she didn’t.
She was uncertain about Yin Molili’s feelings for her, and all these things happened because of his mother.
If she hadn’t dated him, none of this would have happened.
So, she wanted to back down.
Now, after talking with Lu Xingzhi, although Xiong Yali couldn’t immediately adjust her mindset,
at least she knew one thing: she couldn’t continue like this.
She should be more confident in herself and also trust Yin Molili a bit more.
"Little Zhi, actually, I really like Yin Molili. After my boyfriend left, he suddenly appeared, in that manner. Everything about him, from his appearance to his personality and other aspects, is extremely captivating."
Xiong Yali held the cup, taking a small sip.
"But I’m scared to let others know. Like when he suddenly disappeared once, I did try to get in touch with him, but I couldn’t reach him. Then his mother appeared out of nowhere, saying I wasn’t good enough for her son."
Xiong Yali smiled and said, "She even said that he has a fiancée. I didn’t dare ask you about it, afraid it might be true. I just wanted to keep a bit of self-respect for myself. But actually, that was a sign of insecurity."
Lu Xingzhi looked at her with a complex expression, "You should believe that if he had a fiancée, I would have informed you. And you should have told me. A lot of his work requires extreme confidentiality."
"So, it turns out I’m quite ridiculous. Like a fool. No wonder you’re the top scorer in the college entrance exam, while I just got in through art school. The more Xiong Yali thought about it, the more she felt she was utterly foolish."
How did she think back then?
Now it all feels so stifling.
Like not arguing well in a fight.
"The Xiong Yali I knew before wasn’t like this; she was a confident girl." Lu Xingzhi lifted her gaze to look at her, "You need to have more confidence."
"I will. Thank you so much for today. I used to be stubborn and didn’t want to listen to Yin Molili. Now I understand and won’t be so foolish. Even if we break up in the future, we could still enjoy being together now."
Lu Xingzhi nodded, "Then go pour me a glass of water! It’s rare for me to talk this much; I’m thirsty."
"Pfft!!" Xiong Yali remembered this as well.
