Chapter 515: Soul King
This place was bigger than any city he had seen so far. He saw numerous different races besides humans filling the border pass. Surprisingly, the weakest people here were half-gods, and no one was below that level; void gods or true gods were everywhere.
He even noticed quite a few auras of the transcendent realm hidden in different parts of this border pass city. He didn’t try to actively search the land with his spiritual sense, as he was now in the central region of Rion and many ancient monsters could be hidden anywhere.
But he had to say that the difference between the central and outer regions of Rion was quite a lot. He instantly felt the difference between heaven and earth and divine energy density, which was many times greater than below the fourth-order limit breakers might not survive due to the density of energy.
Even laws and rules were clearer than in the outer regions, making it many times easier to understand rules here.
Apollo couldn’t help but sigh.
"The people born here possess an advantage that cultivators from the outer regions can hardly hope to overcome."
While talent still determined one’s upper limit, the cultivation environment alone was enough to widen the gap between the two regions.
Shaking those thoughts from his mind, Apollo focused on the reason he had come here: the Creation list. But as he was just about to leave the border city, someone stopped him.
A guy who was in the early stage of the eternal god realm stopped him.
"Master, please wait. My lord wants to meet you." He quickly bowed and asked carefully.
Apollo was surprised by this, as who would suddenly want to meet him here? He didn’t say anything immediately; instead, he looked at the servant, who showed no disrespect, and his behaviour was quite good.
Just from the servant’s performance, he felt the person was worth meeting.
"Alright, lead the way."
The servant then led him to the largest inn of this border pass. And then led him to a special VIP room.
The room was covered in a runic formation to prevent any eavesdropping; even transcendent realm beings wouldn’t be able to see through or hear anything from outside.
"Please." The servant bowed outside. And then Apollo calmly entered the room.
The moment he entered, the space seemed to change as the entire room, which looked small from outside, turned into a massive castle from inside, with a garden and pond within.
It was frankly impressive, but now he didn’t get surprised by such things; every transcendent, even without knowledge of runes, can easily create an infinitely larger space than this.
So, it was just a trick for being above transcendent, nothing more, but still this showed that this inn must have the backing of powerful clans to make this kind of space available for everyone.
Finally, there was a table in the middle of the garden beside the pond where a refined old man like an emperor was sitting calmly drinking wine.
Apollo didn’t say anything and calmly sat on a chair in front of the old man. Neither side spoke; they calmly remained sitting like the other person didn’t exist.
Although both of them remained unconcerned, secretly both sides were trying to gauge each other.
Apollo was surprised. Even with his Supreme-level spiritual sense, he couldn’t perceive the old man’s true cultivation.
It was as though the old man simply didn’t exist.
The other side old man was also surprised, as he also seemed to be unable to see through Apollo. Both sides remained calm as they were unable to fully understand each other’s abilities.
Finally, the old man broke the silence, " You really lived up to your name, Blue Eyed Demon Supreme."
Hearing this, Apollo’s smile twitched, as this was the nickname he got after he annihilated the grand elder from the ancient Crystal Dragon Clan. This was a corny name, but he couldn’t do anything about it as the name already spread throughout Rion.
Although his cultivation was only in the Transcendent Realm, his combat strength rivalled that of a Supreme. Because of that, the world had bestowed upon him the title of Supreme, adding the rather embarrassing prefix of "Blue-Eyed Demon."
Even if he disliked it, the title now carried considerable weight throughout Rion.
He was calm, hearing and knew that only someone who understood his true strength would go to such lengths to invite him.
"I guess you know me, but who are you? Why don’t you introduce yourself?" He asked with a calm voice.
"Haha, that’s right, I should introduce myself. I am not as famous as the blue-eyed demon supreme, but I am known in the previous era as ’Soul King’ of Human Temple."
Hearing this, Apollo’s eyes narrowed in shock as every word from the man was shocking news for him.
First, the Human Temple didn’t belong to any particular force; it’s more like an alliance of all human power since the beginning of time and is the most ancient power of the human race.
Every era, the Human Temple selected Seven Kings and Three Emperors to lead humanity.
They represented the highest authority, honour, and strength among all humans of their generation.
But now, suddenly he met such a being who claimed to be a king, one of the ten most powerful beings from the previous era, suddenly claiming to be sitting right in front of him. How could such news not be shocking enough for him?
He, for a moment, became doubtful: could this man truly be one of the seven kings of the Human Temple?
From shock, his expression became serious, as if that’s the case, this old man’s strength would be terrifying, at least half-step Sovereign or even possibly he had broken through the Sovereign realm.
He became alert; even if the supreme and above cannot make their move freely, it would still be dangerous for him to face such a terrifying being. Especially facing one of the Seven Kings—the greatest representatives of an entire era—would be dangerous under any circumstances.
