Chapter 1100 - 1097: Why Does It Hurt So Much?

Occasionally, someone climbs the mountain, sees the beautiful scenery on the hill, and merely takes a few photos before leaving.

Completely unaware that beneath the wildflower grass vines, there’s a tombstone.

The characters on the tombstone, weathered by wind and rain, are gradually becoming blurred.

Yet, it remains resilient, the characters haven’t entirely vanished; a small portion can still be deciphered.

It is.

The word Chu.

Another autumn and winter pass.

Spring arrives.

A group of young people comes to the vicinity of the hill, captivated by the beauty here.

A girl wearing outdoor attire, probably around twenty-three or four years old, has clear, bright eyes, beautiful curved eyebrows, and flawless skin that radiates a faint red glow.

Her most noticeable feature is her chest, so ample that a single hand cannot encircle it; it’s so large one wonders if it burdens her.

An ordinary-looking girl runs over, her mood cheerful, saying: "Ke Ke, where did you find this place? It’s really beautiful here."

Ke Ke is that girl with a large chest.

The girl Ke Ke brushes her hair aside, saying: "My dad saw it in a photo."

They are eight people in total, all company colleagues; this time Ke Ke brought them to a place that’s incredibly beautiful.

Flowers cover the mountains, lush green grass carpets the ground, and at the bottom, there’s a small creek, clear waters where fish can be seen swimming.

They are setting up camp, clearing a space to prepare dinner, some taking out cameras to record the night’s stars.

They’re here for fun.

But one person isn’t, and that’s Ke Ke.

Ke Ke discovered a very eerie thing from photos taken by her father.

At that time, she noticed a corner of the photo featuring an unremarkable tombstone, a monument her father probably failed to see when it was hidden.

She felt the characters on the tombstone seemed familiar, then used computer technology to finally extract the text and see it clearly.

Chu Hao.

Ke Ke was taken aback at the time, she hurriedly found her childhood diary.

She hadn’t thrown this diary away because it recorded details of an older brother whose appearance she couldn’t recall.

However, she wrote down the older brother’s name: Chu Hao.

Ke Ke’s curiosity surged, she decided to check it out, thus bringing her colleagues along under the guise of sightseeing to search for this tombstone.

Eventually, they found the place where her father had taken the photo.

A male colleague, seeing Ke Ke holding a photo searching for something, lovingly stepped forward and asked: "Ke Ke, what are you looking for?"

"Zhou Jian, help me check if the place in this photo is here."

Zhou Jian was naturally happy to help; getting close to the prettiest girl Ke Ke was better than playing around.

Zhou Jian nodded: "It’s here."

Ke Ke was thrilled and climbed uphill.

Zhou Jian said: "Ke Ke, slow down, don’t fall."

Ke Ke climbed uphill, opened a patch of grass vines, searched for a long time, her arms got scratched, yet she still didn’t give up.

Zhou Jian observed with concern, saying: "Ke Ke, what are you looking for? Let me help you."

Ke Ke anxiously said: "A tombstone, quickly search for it, it should be here."

Zhou Jian was taken aback, with a puzzled look.

Suddenly, Ke Ke flipped a grass vine open and exclaimed with ecstatic joy.

"Haha...found it." Ke Ke was extremely excited and drew the attention of the other colleagues.

A girl walked over, curiously asked: "What did you find?"

Upon hearing about Ke Ke seeking a tombstone, she was stunned.

"Ke Ke, can you stop being so neurotic? We rarely get a holiday for Saint Master Festival, yet you’ve brought us to find a grave." The girl said angrily.

Saint Master Festival.

It’s a holiday marking the establishment of the Saint Master Hall, celebrated worldwide, and the break is quite long.

Ke Ke was somewhat embarrassed and repeatedly apologized, only then did everyone forgive her.

Zhou Jian couldn’t help but ask: "Ke Ke, why are you looking for this grave?"

The colleagues helped out, finally clearing the weeds from the tombstone to reveal its true appearance.

Chu Hao’s Tomb.

Ke Ke was thrilled; it truly was the name Chu Hao, the very important person recorded in her childhood diary.

But, she’d forgotten about this person.

Suddenly, a wave of sad emotions surged in her heart, and Ke Ke started crying.

Ke Ke didn’t understand why seeing this tombstone made her so sorrowful, she just wanted to wail and cry.

If it weren’t for her, no one might have discovered the tombstone on this hill.

Why so sorrowful?

Why so distressed?

What had the owner beneath this tombstone done?

"Woo-hoo..." Ke Ke finally couldn’t help but cry, crying heart-wrenchingly.

She felt the owner beneath the tombstone was so pitiful.

Why was it like this?

The other colleagues were dumbfounded; what happened to Ke Ke?

Seeing this tombstone, she was so heartbroken as if the tombstone’s owner was her relative.

"Ke Ke, stop crying."

"Ke Ke."

Others hurried to comfort Ke Ke.

Their tombstone-clearing efforts clean the area, everything handled neatly.

Ke Ke was exhausted from crying, choking back her tears, she said: "I’m alright now."

"You really scared us."

Ke Ke was in a daze, the others helplessly continued setting up camp; alas, there’s a tombstone on the hill, staying overnight does indeed feel bleak.

However, among them, there’s someone who’s a Yin-Yang person; they’re unafraid of such things.

Moreover, ghosts are hard to encounter now, having mostly gone to the Underworld; no ghost dares linger in the Yang Realm, else caught by the Underworld, it would be a grievous offense.

In the evening, some prepared barbecue, others watched the stars, seemingly forgetting that there’s a solitary tombstone on the hill.

No one knew that behind the tombstone, the mound of earth suddenly shifted a bit.

Something within seemed to be emerging from the earth.

A ghastly pale hand reached out from the inconspicuous mound of earth.

That hand braced itself on the ground, then the person within finally sat up, a man stark naked, his face full of bewilderment.

"I’m still alive."

The man looked at his body in utter disbelief.

Then he mumbled: "Could it be the Dark Gold Curse Body? Even if the White Demon Flesh Body was shattered, it can recover, I can too."

The man showed a bittersweet smile, brushing off the mud on himself as he stood up, but he had nothing on, his clothes already rotted away in the earth.

The man’s face was full of puzzlement: "Who buried me, even erected a tombstone."

Seeing the tombstone, he was quite speechless.

Suddenly, he spotted some light and flames not far from the hill and hurriedly walked over.

The man reached a tent’s entrance, heard voices of two girls inside: "Ke Ke, what exactly happened to you today?"

Ke Ke: "I also don’t know why, seeing that tombstone made me so sad."

"Let’s go out to eat, we’re already here."

"Okay."

The man had an odd expression.

Ke Ke!
