Lana slowly cracked her knuckles before looking directly at the ghost.

"You know what? I’m already in a terrible mood. So, let’s get this over with."

Golden-white Mystic Energy rapidly gathered inside her palm.

A dazzling Mystic Ball slowly condensed, illuminating the dark street with brilliant radiance.

Only then did Lana finally get a clear look at the ghost.

He wore a luxurious ancient crimson robe trimmed with black fur around the collar and sleeves.

An elegant black crown rested neatly upon his forehead.

His long jet-black hair flowed freely behind him like silk, although the ends had mysteriously turned snow white.

His facial features were unbelievably handsome. Sharp eyebrows, deep crimson eyes, perfectly sculpted features.

If not for the deathly pale skin and overwhelming Yin aura surrounding him, he would have looked like a noble prince from ancient times.

For a brief second, Lana couldn’t help thinking,

’If he weren’t a ghost... I’d probably compliment his looks and jokingly ask for his phone number.’

The very next moment, she slapped her own forehead.

’What nonsense am I thinking? I’m already in a relationship.’

She immediately shook those ridiculous thoughts away. Pulling out an exorcism talisman with her free hand, she smiled.

"Let’s make this quick."

The leading ghost smiled charmingly. "You know, this is actually the first time I’ve met a woman who wasn’t affected by my appearance."

Lana completely ignored him. Instead, she continued condensing more Mystic Energy.

The ghost sighed dramatically.

He placed one hand over his chest and bowed elegantly. "My name is Harry. I’ve been cultivating for over three thousand years."

He slowly looked into Lana’s eyes.

"To be honest, it’s been terribly lonely. Now that I’ve met someone as interesting as you... I can’t help but feel we’re connected."

He smiled warmly. "Don’t you think so, Miss...?"

He deliberately paused. Without thinking, Lana subconsciously replied, "Lana."

The moment those words left her mouth, Harry’s smile became noticeably wider.

It looked as though he had just won some invisible battle. Lana immediately realized what had happened.

She sighed. Then she looked him straight in the eye.

"You know, you have really bad breath."

She wrinkled her nose dramatically.

"Have you ever considered brushing your teeth?"

Silence. Even the surrounding ghosts seemed frozen.

Not far away, Axel slowly covered his face with one hand.

’I honestly don’t know whether she’s brave... or simply impossible. Who says something like that to a three-thousand-year-old ghost?’

Harry’s lips twitched slightly. For several long seconds, he didn’t know how to respond. Finally, he forced an elegant smile.

"Very well, Miss Lana. I’ll remember to take care of my dental hygiene."

He slowly walked toward her with graceful steps. His charming smile returned.

"But, if I agree to brush my teeth..."

He leaned forward slightly. "Will you become my girlfriend?"

Lana couldn’t help laughing. "From your tactics, I can see that you are desperate!"

Without another word... she hurled the Mystic Ball straight toward him.

The brilliant sphere tore through the air. Harry merely smiled.

With an elegant flick of his wrist, an ancient folding fan suddenly appeared in his hand.

Snap! The fan opened gracefully. Using almost no effort, he redirected the incoming Mystic Ball.

However, the Mystic Ball immediately curved through the air.

As though it possessed a will of its own, it turned around and charged toward Harry once again. Harry’s eyes flashed with surprise. "Oh?"

The next instant... Snap! He closed the folding fan. Using it like a sword, he lightly tapped the incoming Mystic Ball. Pop!

The sphere burst apart like a fragile soap bubble before dissolving into countless particles of light. Lana’s lips slowly curled upward. "Interesting."

Harry smiled back just as calmly. "I agree. I find this very interesting."

He elegantly folded his fan behind his back before speaking with a playful smile.

"How about we stop fighting? Let’s go on a private date instead. I’m sure we’d make a much better boyfriend and girlfriend than enemies. I truly love the enemies-to-lovers trope."

As Harry spoke, he flashed an irresistibly charming smile.

His crimson eyes curved slightly, and his expression looked so sincere that, if someone had met him for the first time, they would have found it almost impossible to believe he was actually a ghost.

Lana’s lips twitched.

’This guy has definitely read way too many romance novels. Otherwise, how could he be this skilled at flirting with women?’

She honestly had to admit that if another inexperienced girl had been standing in her place, she might have already fallen for his smooth words and handsome appearance.

Lana slowly turned her head toward Axel. Her expression practically screamed,

’Uncle, you should be proud of your niece for resisting such temptation.’

Axel’s own lips twitched.

’Should I record everything that just happened and send it to Lucian? Perhaps he should personally come here and discipline his shameless girlfriend.’

Completely unaware of the dangerous thoughts brewing inside her uncle’s mind, Lana casually folded her arms.

"Alright, handsome. I suppose I should make one thing clear."

She smiled politely. "I’m already in a relationship. And most likely, I’ll end up marrying him."

She shrugged. "So, you don’t have a chance."

Harry’s smile never disappeared.

Instead, he slowly closed the folding fan in his hand. Snap. At the exact same moment, he suddenly vanished.

Whoosh! His figure appeared directly in front of Lana.

Without the slightest warning, he swung the folded fan toward her neck.

However, Lana had been expecting this all along. If she had been foolish enough to believe that Harry was genuinely interested in chatting, she wouldn’t have survived as long as she had.

’Everything he said was just meant to distract me.’

Without showing the slightest panic, the Mystic Ball she had secretly been charging for several seconds was instantly launched.

Boom!

At the exact same moment, her other hand activated an Exorcism Talisman.

Immediately afterward, a lightning talisman ignited.

Crack! Golden lightning raced across the battlefield.

Yet Lana still wasn’t finished. Her left hand had never stopped moving.

Throughout the entire conversation, she had secretly been condensing an ice ball.

It demanded extraordinary concentration to manipulate two different elemental techniques while simultaneously controlling Mystic Energy.

Fortunately, Axel had forced her to practise exactly this technique before they entered the village.

He had repeatedly reminded her, "Always prepare a trump card."

This was that trump card. The completed Ice Ball instantly shot toward Harry.

Three completely different attacks struck almost simultaneously.

For the very first time, Harry was forced backward.

His shoes scraped against the ground as he retreated several metres.

His crimson eyes widened ever so slightly.

’Interesting... How did someone at her cultivation level accomplish something like this?’

However, Lana gave him absolutely no time to think. One attack after another relentlessly bombarded him.

Harry smoothly deflected most of them using his folding fan.

Just as he thought the barrage had finally ended... Lana suddenly appeared directly in front of him.

A silver dagger flashed through the air. Harry couldn’t help smiling. ’How naive.’

Very few physical weapons could actually injure ghosts. Most ordinary blades simply passed through spiritual bodies.

He didn’t even bother dodging. Then... slash! The silver blade sliced across his chest.

Harry froze. A sharp burning pain erupted from the wound. White smoke immediately rose from his body. His eyes widened in complete disbelief.

"This..."

He stared at the dagger. The weapon radiated pure holy power intertwined with an unfamiliar Aether-like energy.

The moment he recognised that aura... His expression completely changed.

"No, you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Lana had already closed the distance. She slammed her palm directly against his forehead.

Pure mystic energy poured into his spiritual body like an unstoppable flood. Harry immediately let out a painful growl.

Enraged, his fingernails suddenly grew several inches long. Each nail became as sharp as a blade.

He viciously slashed toward Lana’s neck. Lana gritted her teeth. ’I won’t be able to dodge this one.’

She instinctively closed her eyes, preparing herself for the incoming pain.

However, the expected impact never came. Buzz!

An invisible psychic force suddenly stopped Harry’s claws only inches away from Lana’s throat.

Mr. Crow had intervened. His psychic power completely restrained Harry’s arm.

Meanwhile, Myra wasted no time. She rapidly flew behind Harry before raising both hands.

Soft emerald light gathered around her fingers. Unlike Lana’s attacks, Myra’s spiritual technique specialized in corrupting and suppressing ghostly energy.

Streams of green light continuously entered Harry’s body. The moment they did, Harry screamed. "Aaaahhh!!"

It felt as though molten acid had been poured directly onto his soul. The unbearable pain distorted his handsome face.

Enraged beyond reason, Harry roared, "What are all of you waiting for?! Attack them!"

The thousands of ghosts surrounding the battlefield immediately rushed toward Lana, Mr. Crow, and Myra like a terrifying black tidal wave.

However, Axel had been waiting precisely for this moment. He calmly raised one hand.

Boom! A massive transparent barrier instantly enveloped the battlefield.

Every charging ghost slammed into it before being violently repelled backward.
