The source of this brilliant golden pillar of light was none other than the Sun Ancient Tree! It had completed its refinement of the Sun Divine Position and been brought to the Blood-colored Plain by Mage Captain Joy Pala using Space Equipment.

Compared to before it became a Legendary Clan, the Sun Ancient Tree’s current movement speed was still not very fast.

Crossing the entire Divine Realm and entering the Blood-colored Teleportation Gate would have taken who knows how long.

This was why Mage Captain Joy Pala had used Space Equipment to bring the Sun Ancient Tree to the Blood-colored Plain.

Legendary Level Clans wield the Laws directly, whereas Demigods below the rank of True God are still in the stage of merely comprehending them.

To be able to use the Laws they have comprehended to leverage the existing Laws of nature already makes them one of the most distinguished Demigods!

Only the most distinguished among Demigods are qualified to ascend to the rank of True God!

But no matter how well one can leverage the Laws of nature, it can never compare to wielding those Laws oneself.

The former is borrowing Power, while the latter is using one’s own.

The amount of Power borrowed by the former is variable, while the Power of the latter can be kept constant or even be increased at will.

So, for the Vampire Ancestor, a Ninth Transformation Demigod, it didn’t matter how naturally gifted he was. It didn’t matter that he had mastered the Laws of Blood and Darkness through comprehension alone, without relying on external aids. It didn’t matter that his understanding of both Laws was so profound that either could have become his Main Divine Position.

He still hadn’t gathered enough Power of Faith to ignite his Divine Fire, and thus, he could not ascend to become a True God!

Therefore, when faced with the Sun Ancient Tree’s hidden strike, Vampire Ancestor Cain sensed he could not escape. Knowing that anything other than meeting the blow head-on meant certain Death, he could only pour more of his comprehension of the Laws of Blood and Darkness into the black-and-red singularity he had created.

Then, he forcibly controlled it to collide with the Sun Ancient Tree’s attack!

However, in the instant before he forced the black-and-red singularity to meet the golden beam—before their attacks collided in a massive explosion—Vampire Ancestor Cain managed to see the enemy who had launched the strike!

It was a Holy Tree, crimson all over, that seemed to be forged from pure sunlight and flame!

(With its promotion to a Legendary Clan, the Sun Ancient Tree was now known as the Sun Holy Tree.)

The Large Dark Plane knew no sun, only the year-round glow of its Blood Moon.

But today, it was as if every Clan within that plane saw the sun for the first time.

BOOM!!!

An indescribably massive explosion and the resulting energy storm swept across the entire battlefield!

At the epicenter of the collision, the very Space of the Upper Class Magic Plane shattered, forming a temporary black hole that furiously devoured all surrounding matter!

The energy storm from the explosion created ripples in the air, visible to the naked eye, that spread outwards at nearly the speed of sound!

Even the temporary War Fortress, a full kilometer away, was battered by the energy storm. Its walls shook violently as new cracks spiderwebbed across their surface.

When the blast, so blinding that even Ninth Level Heroic Clans found it hard to look at, finally subsided, clouds of dust and smoke filled the air.

After the dust settled, two groups remained unharmed.

One was the ten Heroic Clans, protected by a golden shield;

the other was the ten Vampire Counts, sheltered by a blood-red one.

They had snatched life from the jaws of death!

The surviving Vampire Counts erupted in cheers, but the expression on the face of Vampire Ancestor Cain, who had saved them, was anything but pleased.

His eyes were locked on the Sun Holy Tree, which had appeared behind the opposing Heroic Clans!

His gaze was filled with disbelief, fury, and a sliver of fear he was unwilling to admit even to himself.

’How is this possible?!’

’How could the Gate Divine Artifact possibly connect to a plane where a True God has been born?!’

Vampire Ancestor Cain screamed inwardly.

The Sun Holy Tree had refined the Sun Divine Position, successfully breaking through the Ninth Level and attaining the power of a Legendary Clan. Furthermore, Zhang Yi had permitted it to absorb faith.
