God of Magic’s founding?

What exactly is going on with the gods of this world...

The school’s history is older than the continent’s calendar and the Jade Empire?

So this Magic Academy isn’t part of the Jade Empire; it just happens to be located next to the Magick Wizard Academy?

That understanding should be correct.

After all, the Golden Calendar currently in use on the Gods Continent only has a history of sixty-five hundred and twenty-three years.

As for the Jade Empire, it was founded even more recently, merely over seventeen hundred years ago by the first Jade King, which is still far younger than the academy.

Continuing to read, Lu Wenwu quickly finished the entire student handbook.

Magick Wizard Academy is divided into two main schools: Magic and Arcane.

The primary courses offered include but are not limited to: Magic Rune, Potion, Alchemy, Support Magic, Combat Magic, Knowledge and Hunting of Magical Beasts, Herb Identification and Usage, Basic Physical Training, Arcane, Astrology, Flying, Prophecy, Moral Education, Music, Art...

Their variety is vast, covering a myriad of subjects.

Lu Wenwu even saw an elective for Undead Magic, which was marked with the note [Choose Carefully].

Although Undead Magic is not universally despised to the point of being ostracized on the Gods Continent, it doesn’t have the best reputation either.

The reason Magick Wizard Academy teaches it so openly is related to its educational philosophy as well.

Covering a myriad of subjects with no discrimination in teaching.

It bears some resemblance to the ideals of Confucius.

Only, Magick Wizard Academy is somewhat more radical.

Not only does it practice non-discrimination among students, but all teaching content is also treated with equality.

Their main principle is if you dare to learn, we’ll dare to teach.

Lu Wenwu even saw a few Undead Race ghosts and Professor Witch Demon among the faculty introductions.

"I have to say, this school is truly enormous."

Walking along the flower-lined path, looking at the enormous castle-like building at least a hundred meters high, Lu Wenwu exclaimed.

Without using any body technique support, just walking quickly to this point had taken him a full ten minutes.

Not much, about five kilometers or so.

For a student completely devoid of any extraordinary power, it would have been quite an ordeal.

"Seriously, this thing is huge, but thankfully, regular students only need to come here once at the beginning of the school year. If they couldn’t use magic to aid their progress, one class session here would leave them exhausted."

Lu Wenwu muttered to himself as he stepped inside.

This was the main Alchemy building of the academy, where the Advanced Alchemy courses for senior students would be taught in the future.

If one could catch the eye of a certain professor, they would enter the professor’s Mage Tower upon advancing to a higher grade and receive instruction in the traditional mentor-disciple format.

Simply put, although Magick Wizard Academy doesn’t have the sect-like structure of a cultivation plane, the student hierarchy is somewhat similar.

Someone like Lu Wenwu is an Outer Disciple, while senior students eligible for small classes are Inner Sect Disciples, and those entering the Mage Tower become Direct Disciples.

However, the structure of Magick Wizard Academy is more relaxed, aimed at supplying talent to society.

Perhaps due to the holiday, there were no students around, and the entire castle was quiet.

Only the Magic Lamps illuminated the inside as brightly as daylight thanks to their free energy.

Following the map in the student handbook, Lu Wenwu found his way to the wand manufacturing repair room.

From a distance, he could hear the sound of woodworking saws and files.

As he got closer, he could smell the uniquely layered aroma of wood.

Peering through the half-open door, he observed countless materials and thin long boxes arranged neatly on shelf after shelf, an awe-inspiring sight.

An elderly gentleman with white hair was seated at an elegant workbench, meticulously honing a stick of wood using the most traditional of methods.

"Knock knock knock."

Lu Wenwu reached the door and gently tapped three times.

"Professor Wood, are you there?"

"A new student this year? Here to collect a wand?"

The elder known as Wood looked up, his eyes widening slightly, hastily setting down his tools and adjusting the magic glasses on his face.

He was clearly taken aback by Lu Wenwu’s physique.

"Quite a sturdy build, exuding such an oppressive aura, it’s almost like a giant dragon! Do you possess Titan Bloodline?"

Lu Wenwu chuckled, "No, I’ve never even seen a Titan Giant."

"Such height is not common."

Wood stood up, brushed the wood shavings off his clothes, and approached Lu Wenwu, taking his large, fan-like hand for a closer look.

"Which hand do you usually use?"

"Either is fine."

"Mage or Arcanist?"

"Probably a Mage? Professor Soriano previously mentioned something about welcoming me to take Arcane as an elective."

"Really? Hmm... then this might be a bit tricky."

Professor Wood, like an old scholar, adjusted his glasses and meticulously measured and examined Lu Wenwu’s hand, not missing a single inch.

"With your physique, you’ll likely need a custom wand made for you, haha, you’re in luck! But don’t worry, these are sponsored by the Jade Empire for the academy, so you don’t have to spend a single copper coin."

This didn’t mean the old man had done a background check in advance.

Primarily, the outfit Lu Wenwu conjured up was something his prison cellmates had taught him, naturally looking shabby, as if he could have "Poor Guy" written on his face.

As he spoke, he led Lu Wenwu over to the large cabinet wall replete with various woods and gestured.

"Go ahead, kid, pick one you like."

A self-selection?

Lu Wenwu suddenly recalled that he had previously drawn a somewhat useless piece of wood that had yet to be used!

It was the kind of situation where you couldn’t use what you could afford, and couldn’t buy what you needed.

He wondered if he could perhaps snag some free labor from this Law God Level Alchemy Master in front of him and create something interesting?

With this thought in mind, he asked softly, "Professor Wood, I was wondering, could I provide my own materials and ask for your help crafting a special wand? Although I may look down and out now, my family did have some wealth in the past, and I’ve never brought myself to sell it. If it can be used, it wouldn’t have fallen into my hands for nothing."

"Special, how special?"

Old Master Wood wasn’t concerned about the materials; he didn’t think Lu Wenwu could bring out anything interesting.

In his mind, although the crafting method of the Storage Ring on Lu Wenwu’s left hand was unfamiliar to him, as a Law God Level Alchemy Master, what material in this world could possibly surprise him?

Lu Wenwu quickly said, "I read in the student handbook that due to their cultivation system, Arcanists’ staffs tend to be larger, used to amplify their spiritual power and assist them in manipulating elemental powers. With my build, wouldn’t a small wand be a bit of a waste?"

Wood was momentarily taken aback, looking at him suspiciously, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, you know, can’t Mages use those big Arcanist staffs too? Although they can be cumbersome. I’m thinking, would you mind making me a giant wand two or three meters long?"

Saying this, Lu Wenwu couldn’t help but rub his hands together excitedly.

"That way, when I’m out and about, people seeing me for the first time would think I’m an Arcanist, and I can surprise them with magic to catch opponents off guard."

"When they think I’m a Mage, I can throw in a few Arcane spells to continue catching them off guard, making my tactics more flexible."

"And of course, the most important thing..."

Saying this, Lu Wenwu couldn’t help but flash an exceptionally sunny and cheerful grin.

"If a Knight, Warrior, or Thief from the close combat professions thinks I’m a Mage-Arcanist hybrid and comes rushing in to decapitate me, I can swing my three-meter-long magic staff and... smash their head with it, letting them know the true nobility and elegance of a Caster!"

Wood gazed at Lu Wenwu, whose face was filled with longing, his eyes widening, his skin visibly reddening.

Eventually, the frail old man finally squeezed out a roar.

"Get out!"
