"Previously, you lived alone and struggled to make a living, which is truly not easy. I understand that. Now you are a student of the academy, a part of the Magic Academy, so there’s no need to worry about your livelihood. You can relax a bit in everything."

"This time, because you were not aware, we’ll let it go. But in the future... remember not to destroy school property in such a violent way. Only by mastering the corresponding magic can you enter places where magic puzzles are left."

"Violating school rules can lead to punishment at the least, expulsion at the most. More severely, you may be stripped of your Magic Power Source and all your meridians, forever cutting off the possibility of becoming a Mage or Arcanist."

"Do you understand?"

"Understood, understood," Lu Wenwu nodded. "So, Principal, may I cook for myself in the dormitory? Or perhaps you could grant me special permission to access the academy’s kitchen?"

Wood chimed in, "Let me tell you, Netter, you must let this little rascal often come to the kitchen to help, and you must give him permission to write the recipe of the Spiritual Egg Pancakes into the Arcane Servant. If I can’t eat this wonderful food at noon, I’ll definitely go crazy!"

Netter’s forehead throbbed slightly once more.

He ignored the babbling Old Wood, glanced at the eagerly looking Lu Wenwu, then looked at the plate of floating egg pancakes beside him.

The rich aroma wafted in, filling his nostrils, stimulating his mouth to constantly secrete saliva.

Even his stomach made slight noises in protest.

"...If this novel food can satisfy me, I’ll consider it," he said after a long silence.

Lu Wenwu’s spirits were lifted instantly; he magically pulled out an even more exquisite plate from behind him, holding a non-spiritual egg pancake that represented his peak culinary skills.

The even stronger aroma rushed through the air, instantly permeating the entire kitchen, arrogantly suppressing all other scents!

Lu Wenwu eagerly handed the plate over: "You must try this, the original version. If you have special requests, I can also customize different flavors for you. This food is very flexible, and its sauce and fillings can be adjusted according to personal taste."

Netter discreetly swallowed a bit of saliva, responded with a nonchalant "Hmm," maintaining a stoic expression.

After reminding Lu Wenwu not to forget to attend the evening’s opening banquet, he cast a Tasting Spell on the plate in Lu Wenwu’s hand as well, used a Floating Spell to support the two plates, and left without looking back.

Even though he walked briskly, he did not lose the grace of an elf.

Lu Wenwu glanced at Wood, who was trying to finish the last pancake, and quietly slipped away.

If he didn’t leave now, he feared he’d get hit with the hammer again.

As for the special kitchen access, Lu Wenwu had no worries.

As long as the mouth wasn’t stubborn, there wasn’t a stomach he couldn’t conquer.

Of course, for those with stubborn mouths, Lu Wenwu would generally use his fist to conquer their mouth, his virtue to conquer their spirit, and his righteousness to enlighten their head.

Upon leaving the kitchen, he slipped away to the school library.

He had been spending most of his time there recently.

The sheer volume of books inside left him in awe, surpassing even the modern libraries he had seen on Blue Star.

Of course, this also caused him considerable trouble.

The huge, disorganized library, without any systematic arrangement or catalog, made information retrieval particularly challenging.

Lu Wenwu originally intended to look for clues of the main storyline in the library.

But after several days, his progress was still at the state of a newly created folder.

[Exploration of the Buried Past of Magic]

This main quest was indeed quite grand in scope.

Grand enough that even with generations of archaeologists passing the torch, there might not be enough time.

He hadn’t discovered much about the buried past, but he did read a lot about the strange stories and Basic knowledge on the mainland.

At least he shouldn’t make a fool of himself again.

When one is focused on something, time always seems to fly by quickly.

When Lu Wenwu was just reading about a myth where the God of Light and the Dark Goddess fought fiercely over a relationship issue, with the God of Magic exclaiming, "Stop fighting, please," the wonderful Magic Bell Sound echoed.

Lu Wenwu glanced at the page number he was on, stood up to return the book to its place, and walked towards the tall auditorium.

The auditorium wasn’t far from the library.

If Lu Wenwu used his Eye Power, he could even glimpse through the open doors to see the luxurious decor inside, those large and small arc-shaped tiered seats.

By the time he arrived, the senior students and professors were mostly seated, leaving only new students who were unfamiliar with the paths and didn’t know how to use magic to speed up.

At this moment, they were being led by a dignified-looking elderly woman, lined up in two unique rows between two arcs.

The long line, stretching unseen, had already extended into a special extended space, mostly composed of ordinary people, belonging to the Arcane Academy.

The much smaller group of just over twenty belonged to the Magic Academy.

The new students at the Magic Academy weren’t all human.

Among the new arrivals, Lu Wenwu saw two elves, three Beastmen of different races, plus a silver-white skeleton with deep blue Soul Fire burning in its eye sockets.

It was an Undead Creature—a Silver Skull!

Magick Magic Academy truly is a place of myriad manifestations, welcoming all.

Lu Wenwu even spotted a Witch Demon professor shrouded in robes and a pale-faced Blood Race professor among the staff in small arc-shaped seating sections.

It’s indeed a magical race hybrid!

Standing in line, Lu Wenwu felt a bit bored, trying to chat with others.

But his Eye of True Sight told him everyone was anxious, with no mood for chit-chat.

So he gave up and continued the slightly dull wait.

After about ten minutes, everyone was finally present, and the auditorium doors slowly closed.

The two lines showed a stark contrast in numbers.

The Magic Academy’s line, in total, didn’t exceed fifty people.

While over at the Arcane Academy...

There were more than two hundred just within the main auditorium.

Even more people stood in the indistinct expansion space.

Soon, an old man, with hair and beard as white as snow, wearing a gray Magic Robe, shaped like Gandalf, stepped onto the central stage, his loud voice resonating throughout the hall.

"A new academic year has begun, and new students have joined our Magick Wizard Academy family, becoming one of us."

"Now, according to the tradition set by the God of Magic at the academy’s founding, I, as the current principal of Magick Magic Academy, hereby declare—the start of the opening ceremony is immediate!"

As soon as his voice fell, the hall erupted into applause.

Lu Wenwu also started clapping; he liked leaders who get straight to the point.

Leaders who must say something trivial to showcase their presence regardless of whether it’s necessary are just pushing it too far, best if the formalism just died off; even a dog tied to that position would do better than them.

The principal in the gray robe drew out his Magic Staff, and with a flick, a half-person-high stand appeared before him, topped with a head-sized Crystal Ball, incredibly transparent.

"As usual, we will begin with the smaller class of the Magic Academy."

"The student whose name is called, please step onto the platform and touch the Crystal Ball before you. This Crystal Ball will tell us the Elemental Attributes you are compatible with, which helps establish your future learning path."

"Susan."

As the voice fell, the girl at the front of the line nervously stepped onto the platform.

From her attire, she seemed to come from a background of mules and horses.

Experiencing such an event for the first time, it was normal to be nervous.

"Why not call Hanna Aber first...?" Lu Wenwu muttered, "That wouldn’t be adhering to propriety at all."
