Chapter 835 - 451: Dark Age Secrets_3
"Below the High-tier Demigod Level, approaching spells certain death!"
The Old Tree glanced at the sky and continued, "However, though it’s dangerous there, it also holds astonishing opportunities."
"When those Divine Spirits fall, even True Gods, the shattered rules of theirs condense into orbs of Divine Format."
"If you’re lucky, perhaps you might find a complete rule among them."
"A complete rule could even grant you direct access to the Divine Realm."
At this moment, the sky still rumbled with rolling thunder.
Yet, the dark clouds above didn’t strike again, as if knowing such an attack was no longer effective against Han Xing and the others.
Han Xing asked, "Old Tree, the Land of Divine War you mentioned is located in the Endless Void, but how do we find it?"
The Ancient Tree with Entwined Roots replied, "I naturally have a way to search for it."
Then, he handed Han Xing a broken arrow, still stained with mottled blood.
From this arrow, Han Xing felt an extremely familiar aura.
In front of him, the attribute introduction of this arrow appeared.
[Bloodstained Hunting Arrow]: A special item that can detect its fallen location in the Void through this arrow.
Upon seeing this arrow, Han Xing’s pupils instantly constricted.
"Is this?!"
The Ancient Tree with Entwined Roots noticed Han Xing’s reaction, "Saint Master Han Xing guessed correctly."
"This is that person’s Broken Arrow."
"In that divine war back then, he was also involved."
"Or rather, he initiated that battle."
However, after seeing the remark information on the arrow, Han Xing was filled with surging waves of doubt.
Han Xing asked in shock and uncertainty, "Old Tree, was it in that war that Hunter died?"
The Ancient Tree with Entwined Roots looked at Han Xing in confusion, "That, I am not very clear about."
"I only know that after Hunter went to participate in that war, he indeed never returned."
Hearing the tree’s reply, Han Xing was already certain of his guess.
As it turns out, Hunter really died there.
What exactly did he experience in that battle?
What terrifying enemy did Hunter encounter?
Why did even a being like him perish?
A host of questions arose in Han Xing’s mind.
"Old Tree, can you tell me why Hunter went to participate in that battle?"
The tree pondered for a moment, then slowly spoke.
"Why exactly, I am not very clear either."
"Back then, though I had Demigod Level combat power, you must know, the era when Hunter rose was the era of Beasts of Calamity!"
"Demigods in front of those Beasts of Calamity could only die like ants!"
At this point, the tree seemed to recall something terrifying and trembled violently.
"That era was horrendous..."
"Every day, I would hear of which Sky Island was devoured by the Beast of Calamity, the entire Race destroyed in an instant!"
"I dreaded the day when such a fate would suddenly befall me!"
"History records the Dark Age as lasting four hundred years."
"But in truth, it lasted over two thousand years!"
"In those two thousand years, the entire Holy Spirit Realm became a feeding ground for those Beasts of Calamity, which appeared whenever they were hungry, initiating massive feeding sessions."
"Living beings were utterly defenseless and could only become food, swallowed alive."
"I transformed into a tiny sapling, sealing all my energy, not daring to reveal a single bit."
"For over two thousand years, nearly ninety percent of the intelligent Races in the Holy Spirit Realm faced extinction!"
"It wasn’t until that person’s rise that those terrifying Beasts of Calamity were expelled from the Holy Spirit Realm, finally ending the Dark Age."
Upon hearing this, Han Xing couldn’t help but ask, "Hunter accomplished so much, why are there so few records of Hunter in the Holy Spirit Realm?"
The tree slowly explained, "It’s not that the records are few, but that too many beings in the Holy Spirit Realm died back then; those who survived were mostly members of Races without full intelligence."
"Moreover, that person was always very low-key, which is why the Holy Spirit Realm knows so little about him."
Han Xing nodded in understanding.
He asked again, "And after the Dark Age? Why did Hunter want to engage in that battle?"
The tree looked up, seeing the thundercloud above not intending to attack it.
As if deciding something, the tree sighed after a while, "Very well, today I will tell you everything I know."
"After the Dark Age, another several thousand years passed."
"In these thousands of years, Hunter remained active in the Holy Spirit Realm, searching for geniuses to inherit his power."
"Those who inherited his power called themselves the inheritors of the Wild Ranger."
"All Wild Rangers through the ages were the most outstanding beings of those times, and back then, the rules of the Holy Spirit Realm were not so strict."
"Thus, even Divine Level Wild Rangers were not uncommon."
"Later, these Wild Rangers, along with Hunter, founded a special organization known as the Supreme Hall."
Hearing this, a look of realization appeared in Han Xing’s eyes.
So, when Hunter mentioned it, that’s the kind of place the Supreme Hall was.
An organization founded by generations of Wild Rangers, it indeed held great significance.
Unfortunately, Han Xing had no idea where the Supreme Hall was or how to find other Wild Rangers.
The tree continued, "However, in the three-thousandth year after the Dark Age, something special happened."
"There seemed to be some internal conflict within the Supreme Hall."
"Conflict?" Han Xing asked in confusion.
The tree replied, "Yes, I don’t know what it was about."
"I only know there was a being called the Master of War Ghosts, who apparently disagreed with Hunter’s philosophy, and they fought fiercely..."
