Long Zhan froze at his words, then looked at Ren Yuanyang with curiosity.

Ren Yuanyang smiled slightly. "I can still control it a little."

Long Zhan froze again, then shook his head in resignation. "I guess my perspective has been a bit narrow."

’He’d always thought that as one of the first naturally evolving Evolvers, his strength should be in the top tier. Now, it seemed he had been too arrogant.’

Ren Yuanyang explained with a smile, "My Superpower is rather unique. It’s highly compatible with the plants at our base, which is why I’m able to control them."

Long Zhan’s eyes widened in understanding. "So that’s why!"

"It seems your Superpower Type is quite unique as well, Brother Yang," Wang Jun remarked.

Ren Yuanyang shook his head slightly. "No matter how unique it is, it’s still just Wood-Type. It can’t compare to your Electric-Type, Captain Wang."

Wang Jun waved a hand dismissively. "There’s no need for us to stand here flattering each other. What are your thoughts on this downpour and the flood?"

Ren Yuanyang considered this for a moment, then uttered two words: "Very bizarre."

The flood was supposed to be a disaster, yet it provided humans and various other creatures with an opportunity to evolve.

The initial three-month grace period seemed to give humanity a chance to adapt. But after the winds started, they had fixed strengths in designated areas.

There were also the undercurrents, the geomagnetic storms, and that strange chat software—everything felt so bizarre.

"It is. It’s definitely bizarre," Wang Jun agreed with a nod.

"Do you think this could be the work of Aliens?" Long Zhan asked.

"It’s possible, but something about it is strange." Ren Yuanyang’s brow furrowed. "Based on the changes to our phones, we can tell the mastermind is likely an Advanced Civilization. But what in the world would an Advanced Civilization hope to accomplish by doing all this?"

"Exactly. I can’t make heads or tails of it either," Wang Jun agreed with a nod. "If the flood was meant to wipe out humanity, why would they give us data on wind intensity for different regions, allowing us to avoid the sea areas with high winds?"

"Could it be to observe how we react when faced with this kind of disaster?" Long Zhan speculated.

Ren Yuanyang shook his head. "Wouldn’t their observations be more comprehensive if they didn’t tell us the wind levels in each sea area?"

"Yes, I feel like the phone mutations are ultimately intended to save us," Wang Jun said in agreement.

Hearing Ren Yuanyang and Wang Jun’s refutations, Long Zhan shook his head in resignation. "I’m better suited for combat. I’ll leave the rest to you guys."

At this, Ren Yuanyang began to laugh. "Actually, we don’t need to agonize over this so much."

"Hm?" Wang Jun and Long Zhan both looked at him, confused.

Ren Yuanyang continued, "Whatever the truth behind this flood may be, we first have to focus on surviving. With our current strength, we couldn’t stop this flood even if we knew the truth."

Wang Jun paused, taken aback, then nodded. "You’re the one who sees things clearly, Brother Yang. I was getting lost in the weeds."

Ren Yuanyang waved his hand dismissively. "You flatter me, Captain Wang. It’s more like I’m just throwing in the towel."

"You’re not throwing in the towel at all," Wang Jun said, shaking his head. "From the very beginning, you’ve been acquiring all kinds of plants and cultivating special ones. Haven’t you been working hard this whole time?"

"That’s just to have a better chance at survival," Ren Yuanyang said with a sigh.

"Speaking of those special plants," Long Zhan asked tentatively, "I wanted to ask you, Brother Yang, are your Iron Melons and Spray Melons for sale?"

Ren Yuanyang, who had long expected this question, answered with a smile. "I brought them out to show you, so of course they’re for sale!"

Long Zhan’s eyes lit up slightly. ’With plants like these, the base would have another method of attack.’

"Are you selling the plants themselves, or just the fruit?" Long Zhan pressed eagerly.

"The plants are for sale in limited quantities, but the fruit is available without limit," Ren Yuanyang replied.

In other words, the enhanced plants themselves were for sale, but in limited quantities. If they only wanted the fruit, there was no limit.

Long Zhan nodded. "Alright. It looks like we need to go back and have a proper discussion about how to proceed with a purchase."

"Of course. Just contact me directly once you’ve decided how you want to purchase them," Ren Yuanyang replied. "The hot food’s getting cold. Let’s eat and talk."

Just then, Qin Haonan came to stand behind Ren Yuanyang.

Wang Jun looked at him and smiled. "This must be the young fella who’s been handling our trades."

"That’s right. This is Haonan. He’s not old, but he’s very experienced when it comes to business," Ren Yuanyang introduced.

"Yes, the battles against Dawn Base and that unknown faction before... that was him, right?" Wang Jun continued.

Ren Yuanyang nodded. "That’s right."

"To be so impressive at such a young age... he’ll be incredible when he’s older," Wang Jun said with feeling.

"He certainly is a promising talent," Ren Yuanyang agreed.

Hearing Ren Yuanyang and Wang Jun praise him, Qin Haonan puffed out his chest and stood a little straighter.

The three of them chatted for nearly an hour.

"Well, it’s getting late. We should be heading back," Wang Jun said, glancing at the time as he rose to his feet.

Ren Yuanyang gave a slight nod. "Let’s get together again when we have the chance."

"Sounds good. I hope we’ll get a chance to tour your base in the future," Wang Jun replied with a smile.

"You certainly will," Ren Yuanyang replied.

"You should come by our Aircraft Carrier Base for a visit when you have time," Long Zhan offered.

"I will. But things have been a bit unstable recently. Our base was attacked by mutant fish right before you arrived. Thankfully, our Security Department is quite capable and took care of them," Ren Yuanyang agreed.

"In that case, we won’t keep you any longer," Wang Jun said with a nod. "Let’s stay in touch on our phones."

With that, Wang Jun and Long Zhan walked back to their speedboat.

Qin Haonan retracted the two metal gangways.
