"Take me to the water tank’s intake valve!" Lu Jiamei said to the woman with a slight nod.

"Please, follow me." The woman led Lu Jiamei toward the stern, explaining as they walked, "This yacht’s water tank has a five-thousand-liter capacity, and its intake valve is on the starboard side of the stern."

"What’s your name?" Lu Jiamei asked casually.

"Si Youqin," the woman replied.

Jin Ziyu, with nothing better to do, followed them to the stern as well.

"It’s right there." Si Youqin leaned over the railing and pointed. "You can use that gangway to climb down next to the intake valve."

Lu Jiamei looked at the intake valve, her brow furrowing slightly. "Is there enough space by the intake to put a plant this size?"

She lifted the plant in her hand as she spoke.

Si Youqin paused for a moment, then shook her head. "It’s just an intake valve. There isn’t that much space."

Just then, Ren Yuanyang arrived with Qin Haonan. Seeing Lu Jiamei and the others on the stern deck, he asked, "What’s wrong? Haven’t you placed the Dripping Lotus yet?"

"Chief, the spot by the intake is too small. There’s no way the Dripping Lotus will fit!" Lu Jiamei said, a hint of helplessness in her voice.

Ren Yuanyang walked over to the edge of the deck to take a look, his brow furrowing as well.

"Boss, why are you trying to put this Drip Guanyin by the intake? Isn’t that thing poisonous?" Jin Ziyu finally couldn’t resist asking.

At Jin Ziyu’s words, Ren Yuanyang’s face lit up. He laughed. "With her here, you’re still worried about a place for the Dripping Lotus?"

Lu Jiamei froze, looking at Jin Ziyu in confusion.

"She’s a Gold-Type Evolver. She can control metal!" Ren Yuanyang reminded her.

It dawned on Lu Jiamei. "How could I forget something so important!"

"It’s not that you forgot. It’s just that ordinary people like us don’t immediately think to use an Evolver’s Superpower. It’s perfectly normal," Ren Yuanyang said with a smile, shaking his head.

Qin Haonan wasn’t paying attention to their discussion. He was secretly watching Jin Ziyu the entire time.

But Jin Ziyu was too uninhibited to notice Qin Haonan shadowing her. Instead, she asked again, "Boss, you still haven’t answered me. Why are we putting the Drip Guanyin near the intake?"

"Just follow the order for now. Make a square box by the intake, big enough to hold the Dripping Lotus. Make sure there’s a hole in the bottom so its roots can pass through," Ren Yuanyang replied in a stern voice.

Jin Ziyu pouted. With a wave of her hand, a link from the anchor chain snapped off and flew in front of her. It morphed, and a few seconds later, an iron box with an opening on one side materialized before them.

Ren Yuanyang and the others were stunned. They knew Evolvers’ Superpowers were formidable, but to watch a link of an anchor chain transform into an iron box right before their eyes was still deeply shocking.

"Don’t just stand there gawking. Jiamei, put the Dripping Lotus and the Fluorescent Cactus inside. Jin Ziyu, open a few more upward-slanting vents on the side," Ren Yuanyang continued to instruct.

Lu Jiamei immediately placed the Dripping Lotus she was holding into the iron box. The plant’s roots threaded through the hole in the bottom.

The Dripping Lotus’s roots were incredibly long—a full four meters!

After making the vents, Jin Ziyu even fashioned a small rain guard above them. The metal was perfectly pliable in her hands, shifting into any shape she desired.

"Go open the intake valve," Ren Yuanyang gestured to Si Youqin.

Si Youqin immediately climbed down the gangway and opened the intake valve.

"Jin Ziyu, affix this iron box to the yacht’s intake port," Ren Yuanyang commanded.

Jin Ziyu nodded slightly. She manipulated the iron box, pressing it against the intake port. The box fused directly with the yacht’s hull, becoming a single, seamless piece.

Ren Yuanyang nodded in satisfaction, then turned to Si Youqin. "Has the water tank been cleaned?"

Si Youqin immediately shook her head. "No, but the tank has never been opened, so it should be clean."

"Check it through the inspection hatch. If it’s not clean, open it up and wash it out," Ren Yuanyang instructed.

"Yes, Boss!" Si Youqin replied respectfully. Then, a realization struck her. "Boss," she asked hastily, "I don’t think we have any purified water left?"

"Didn’t I just install a solution for you?" Ren Yuanyang said, pointing to the iron box now affixed to the intake port.

Jin Ziyu frowned again. "Boss," she reminded him, "the water that comes from a Dripping Lotus is poisonous!"

Ren Yuanyang glanced at her. "Follow me," he said.

Everyone returned to the cabin. Lu Jiamei placed the other Dripping Lotus into a large plastic barrel and filled it with water.

The Dripping Lotus immediately began to exude droplets from the tips of its leaves. The pace quickened until it was nearly a steady stream, like water from a faucet.

The plastic barrel Lu Jiamei had prepared was quite large, so all the water the Dripping Lotus produced simply fell back into the barrel. This way, it wouldn’t spill everywhere when not being used.

Ren Yuanyang took a bamboo cup from Qin Haonan, held it under the dripping leaves to catch the water, and handed the full cup directly to Jin Ziyu.

"Go on, have a drink."

Jin Ziyu was completely stunned. The rate at which the Dripping Lotus produced water was already startling enough. Now Ren Yuanyang actually wanted her to drink it? ’Isn’t he trying to kill me?!’

"What? Afraid it’s poisonous?" Ren Yuanyang asked, his expression full of contempt as he looked at the astonished Jin Ziyu.

"I’m not afraid of anything!" Jin Ziyu couldn’t stand being looked down on like that. She snatched the bamboo cup, squeezed her eyes shut, and downed the entire thing in one gulp.

The water was crisp, and even a little sweet!

It didn’t seem poisonous at all.

After drinking, Jin Ziyu carefully checked for any adverse effects on her body. There were none.

From what she knew, the white sap in a Dripping Lotus’s rhizome was toxic. Even the water that dripped from its leaves was poisonous and would cause itching or severe irritation on contact with skin. But now, after drinking so much of it, she felt absolutely nothing.

Only then did Lu Jiamei finally explain, "These two Dripping Lotuses have already evolved. The water they produce is purified by the plant itself. Not only is it non-toxic, but all other impurities in the water are removed. It’s perfectly safe to drink."

Hearing this, Jin Ziyu’s eyes widened. "Does that mean we’ll have a never-ending supply of fresh water from now on?" she asked, pleasantly surprised.

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "Of course. But first, you need to confirm if the water tank is clean. Otherwise, if the pure water from the Dripping Lotus gets contaminated by whatever’s in the tank, the purification will have been for nothing."

"I understand, Boss! I’ll go check right now!" Si Youqin immediately jogged toward the lower part of the cabin. The tank’s inspection hatch was located inside.

After Si Youqin left, Jin Ziyu asked again, "Boss, with roots that long on the Dripping Lotus outside... are you planning to have it purify seawater directly?"

"Yes. You’re not completely hopeless after all," Ren Yuanyang replied irritably.

Jin Ziyu chose to ignore the latter half of his sentence and pressed on, "How fast does the Dripping Lotus purify water?"

She was already dying to take a hot shower!

Ren Yuanyang was a little surprised. ’She actually cares about the purification speed?’

But what Ren Yuanyang didn’t know was that she just wanted to take a shower as soon as possible.
