Chapter 438 - 31: Super Gravity Slime, Upgrading Again
The Slimes were surprised to discover that the voice belonged to a Slime they had thought was dead.
He now lay amidst a pile of black balls.
But while he had regained consciousness, his body was paralyzed.
And so, after a brief exchange, the Slimes decided to take their immobilized kin back to the territory for the Lord to take a look.
The Slimes shifted the direction of their Telekinesis. Enduring the bombardment from the Gravity Cannons, the Telekinesis Hand swept up and gathered all the Slime "corpses"—which had been turned into black balls—then began an orderly retreat.
Seeing the Slime Monsters begin to retreat, Ronnie immediately ordered his men to reduce the frequency of their bombardment. With an intermittent barrage as their send-off, the Slime Monsters withdrew from his territory.
[Titan Race Chat Channel]
Ronnie: "Everyone, I won! I’m victorious! I’ve driven those Slime Monsters out of my territory!"
Ronnie: "These Gravity Cannons really do the trick!"
Ronnie: "Next, I’m going to start reclaiming my lost land."
Ronnie: "Once I start my counterattack, I’ll livestream it for you all. It’ll be a good show."
Sankrug: "Just hurry up and get rid of those Slime Monsters, then come help us deal with these peasants."
Sankrug: "We’ve already wiped out 100 of the peasants’ territories. Our own domains have expanded considerably."
Sankrug: "If you don’t want to be eliminated this stage, you’d better hurry. Otherwise, you won’t even get the scraps!"

Although Ronnie had successfully repelled the Slimes, not every lord had prepared so many Gravity Cannons.
After all, the manufacturing technology for Gravity Cannons had only recently been mastered by a handful of top-tier lords. Production was limited, and the cannons were also needed to deal with the Civilian Lords.
Thus, only some of the lords who had launched extermination campaigns against the Slimes achieved a decisive victory.
Most of these lords had employed saturation bombardment, turning vast numbers of Slimes into Slime Balls.
Amidst the continuous bombardment, the Slimes discovered that the Slime "corpses" which had become balls were undergoing a strange transformation. Consequently, the Slimes took the initiative to retreat, taking these Slime Balls with them.

Another group of lords had too few Gravity Cannons in their territories to achieve an overwhelming victory.
They could only fight the Slimes by combining cannon fire with human-wave tactics.
Their armies fought the Slimes one-on-one, while the Gravity Cannons were primarily used to counter the Slimes’ Telekinesis Hand and Telekinesis Barrier.
After suffering heavy casualties, they did manage to clear out most of the Slimes from their territories.
Because these territories lacked saturation bombardments, Supergravity Fields generally did not form. The dead Slimes mostly melted into puddles and seeped back into the ground.
The end result was that once their numbers had been reduced to a certain point, the Slimes halted their offensive and scattered throughout the various territories.
Overall, however, these lords of the Titan Race had still achieved a partial victory and curbed the Slimes’ expansion.
The victorious lords began celebrating in the chat channel, flaunting their various achievements.
However, a small minority of lords not only failed to achieve victory but brought utter disaster upon their own territories.
Their preparations had been insufficient. Perhaps they were overconfident in their territory’s fighting strength, or perhaps they lacked the points and resources to borrow enough high-tech war machines like Gravity Cannons.
After angering the Slimes, these lords had their armies annihilated with crushing force and their city walls breached. In the aftermath, their territories were either occupied or completely overrun.
A few of these lords failed to escape and were captured by the Slimes. Three of them who put up a desperate last stand were squeezed into balls and devoured.
These failed lords vanished without a trace, attracting no attention from the others. One of them was a Civilian Lord who had tried to ride the coattails of the Noble Lords’ campaign to drive the Slimes from his own territory. As a result, the enraged Slimes rolled him and his entire city into one gigantic ball.
All that remained was the Lord’s Mansion and the Territory Core inside it. After the territory was destroyed, the resulting Free Territory Heart was brought back to the main territory.

He gazed at the distant smoke of war. After questioning the Bee Swarm Gluttonous Slimes, he understood that this was a premeditated, coordinated assault by the lords of the Titan Race.
The Slimes had been caught off guard by the sudden, unified attack, and their losses were considerable.
By now, however, Lin Yu’s thinking had shifted. With the World Tree Seedling in his possession, he was eager to bring the current stage to a close as quickly as possible.
Therefore, this offensive from the Titan Race lords played right into his hands.
