Upon receiving his orders, Yuan Xiaobo immediately notified all the Druids to assemble, then led them in flight toward the mountain range on the other side.

"Manqiluo! Amuti!"

"Gather the soldiers! Prepare to descend the mountain!"

"Ahead of schedule?"

"It’s been moved up!"

Manqiluo and Amuti wasted no more words, immediately ordering their soldiers to assemble.

Once they confirmed everyone was present, thick Magic Vines snaked down the cliff face, extending all the way to the mountain’s base.

The Steel-backed Porcupines were the first to slide down the vines.

They were followed by the Withered Messengers, Death Devourers, and Plantoids.

The Druids, having transformed into birds, swiftly flew down, following the first wave of Steel-backed Porcupines.

...

At the base of the mountain, inside the cavalry camp of the four Xiong Family brothers.

The four brothers were watching the distant battlefield through binoculars they had bought from the Exchange.

"Such resilient heroes, and those incredible flying swords... To think a mere hundred-some heroes could stop the charge of a million-strong army."

"Good thing we left when we did. In a meat grinder like that, our Cavalry would’ve definitely been ordered to charge to their deaths."

"So badass. When will we ever get heroes that strong?"

"Is this why so many people are trying to force Li Hua to sell his territory? It’s truly on another level! I want some too!"

The four of them let out cries of amazement as they watched the battlefield.

When the Sword Immortals recalled their flying swords and the battlefield reverted to a bloody melee between soldiers, the brothers grew bored. They lowered their binoculars and returned to their tent.

"Big Bro, I’d say Mei Yuan’s offensive is pretty well-organized."

"Looks like the Sniper Corps is about to break!!"

"Should we seize the opportunity to sweep in and pick some of them off?"

"Forget it. On a battlefield this massive, what could our small force even do? Better not get one-shotted by an AOE. It’s not worth the risk."

"After tonight, tomorrow is the final day. I wonder who will be victorious."

"Weren’t we in the Northern Expedition Legion supposed to be attacking the territory of one of the ranked lords? Even if they repel the Sniper Corps, there won’t be enough time to attack the territory, will there?"

As they were speaking, Xiong Da suddenly put a finger to his lips. "SHHH— why do I hear so many birds?"

The four of them instantly fell silent. Sure enough, the sound of beating wings echoed from the sky.

"Something’s wrong. It’s too late for a flock this large to be making this much noise. Besides, we’ve been here a while, and we haven’t seen any large flocks around here."

"Come on, let’s go take a look!"

Xiong Da took the lead, striding out of the tent with his three brothers right behind him.

"Huh? So many birds?"

Stepping out of the tent, they saw a massive flock of birds descending from the sky. They formed a vast, dark mass, and with the sky already dim, the sight was incredibly oppressive.

After watching for a moment, they suddenly realized something was wrong. The birds’ dive speed wasn’t decreasing in the slightest; instead, their trajectory was now aimed right at the camp.

"This is bad! They’re enemies! To arms!!"

Xiong Da reacted first, instantly shouting the command. He began to pull his brothers toward the stables, but realizing his mistake partway there, he was yanked into a tent by a nearby guard.

Inside the camp, most of the cavalrymen had been preparing dinner. Hearing the command, they immediately scrambled to don their armor.

The entire camp descended into chaos.

THUD~

THUD, THUD, THUD~

In the distance, a series of heavy thuds echoed from the foot of the mountain.

This was followed by the sound of frantic running.

"ENEMY ATTACK~~~"

Outside the camp, a sentry on patrol galloped back in a panic.

The soldiers inside the camp fell into even greater disarray...

Seeing that the situation was turning dire, Xiong Da’s commands echoed from inside the tent.

"All troops, assemble on your positions! If you’re not armored, get your gear on now...!"

Under his command, the cavalrymen quickly regained their composure. The armored soldiers stopped looking for their horses. Instead, they gathered in small groups, raised their shields, and watched the flock of birds diving rapidly toward them.

The diving birds suddenly came to an unnatural halt, their velocity vanishing as they stopped in mid-air. Then, countless Wind Blades shot out from beneath them.

SWOOSH SWOOSH~~

The Wind Blades rained down, striking the Knights’ shields. Some of the unarmored cavalrymen were knocked to the ground. They would then stumble to their feet, trying to either retrieve their gear or duck under the shields of their comrades.

However, more birds arrived, bringing with them even more Wind Blades.

The Wind Blades rained down upon the entire camp. Everything within it was subject to their relentless assault.

Mixed in with the Wind Blades were countless other elemental attacks—Ice Blades, water arrows, Stone Spikes, steel spikes, Lightning Arrows... Every element except for fire was present. (If things started burning, the Northern Expedition Legion would know at a glance that an enemy had arrived.)

In less than a minute, the soldiers, stables, tents, and cookhouse—everything—was left in tatters, as if ravaged by a typhoon.

Under the dense barrage of Wind Blades, everyone in the camp could only cling desperately to whatever protection they held, or else duck and cover their heads, silently praying for it all to be over quickly.

Protected by their own heroes, the four Xiong Family brothers barely managed to hold out until the elemental rain ended.

When they looked up to survey their surroundings, they found the camp was unrecognizable. All that remained were splintered wood, torn fabric, and a field of wounded men.

The flock of birds hovered above them. Once again, their talons began to glow as elemental power gathered.

Xiong Da hurriedly shouted, "Don’t attack! We surrender! We surrender!"

"Everyone, drop your weapons!"

"We’re members of the Cuiwei Corps! We haven’t attacked any other lords this entire time!"

At his shouts, the flock did indeed hold its attack. However, their talons continued to glow, ready to strike instantly should anything go wrong.
