At the sound of White Hair Pulan's voice, the Komeilan City Gate, which had been sealed shut for three days, slowly swung open. The Demonized Creatures, long driven to a frenzy by their confinement, howled as they swarmed out of the city, finding their own paths to charge the Skeleton Undead.

The moment the gates opened, the Undead, who had been as deathly still as dry bones, all lifted their heads. Their Soul Fires blazed fiercely as they watched the oncoming Demonized Creatures, poised for battle.

Low Level Skeleton Warriors raised their Bone Sabers, pointing them at the Demonized Creatures. They opened their mouths and unleashed a silent roar.

A formless, expanding wave swept out like a tidal surge, causing the charging Demonized Creatures to pause for a moment. They recovered almost instantly, raised their weapons, and charged forward again. Their vast numbers negated the stunning effect of the Undead roar.

Not that the Undead had truly expected a roar to finish the fight. Battles, after all, are won with blades. They met the charge without a trace of fear.

The charge of the Demonized Creatures was utterly ferocious. They smashed into the horde of Undead, and in an instant, the battlefield erupted. War cries shook the heavens as shattered bone flew everywhere in a scene of total chaos.

Li Ziyu, who had only just fallen asleep, opened his eyes. All around him, clusters of Soul Fire flared to life on the walls, illuminating the main tower like lamps.

"Lord City Lord?" Meng Ni sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked toward Li Ziyu and called out groggily.

Li Ziyu didn't speak. He just sat there quietly as a stream of messages from the Undead flashed through his mind via the Soul Network. 'The battle has begun.'

He had given specific orders: if a battle with the Demonized Creatures broke out, battle reports were to be sent to him immediately. He needed to be aware of the battlefield situation at all times.

Although the Undead didn't have a System and couldn't alert him the way Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing could, they had the Soul Network. It could deliver news to his mind just as quickly. The battle had only just begun at the front, but Li Ziyu was already receiving the latest report.

'Damn, they're ferocious,' he thought. 'Over ten thousand Demonized Creatures, and not just in number—the quality is high, too. This was a carefully planned attack.'

Even though the Skeleton Undead occupied the three passages of Komeilan's Grand Plaza and had deployed a force of fifty thousand, they were still no match for the Demonized Creatures. In the initial clash alone, they had already suffered over two thousand casualties, and that number was climbing rapidly.

At this rate, those fifty thousand Skeleton Undead wouldn't last much longer before being completely wiped out. Fortunately, they weren't the only ones in the passageways.

"Reinforce the front line with everything you have. Hold until reinforcements arrive."

Li Ziyu contacted two High Level Skeleton Undead through the Soul Network and issued his command.

After receiving the order, the High Level Skeleton Undead relayed it down the chain of command, informing all the Skeleton Undead in the passageways.

The Skeleton Undead who had been hunting Demonized Beasts immediately stopped what they were doing. Even those on the verge of landing a killing blow abandoned their prey without hesitation, silently turning to rush to the front line.

This was the Undead Race. Their loyalty was absolute. They never doubted Li Ziyu's words, never hesitated. They executed his orders decisively, without compromise.

From countless small tunnels, Skeleton Undead emerged. They converged, like streams flowing into a great river, forming a corps to support the front line.

Outside the cave, after giving his order to the High Level Skeleton Warriors, Li Ziyu immediately issued a command to the System.

With a rumbling sound, the Skeleton Architecture rose from the platform. The Minotaurs all turned their heads, realizing something was wrong. The City Lord would never have raised the buildings during the day otherwise.

The adult Minotaurs snatched up their Totem Poles and gathered together, bristling with killing intent. The women called for their children, telling them to hurry home and take cover.

Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing were also startled awake. They emerged from their own fortresses and looked toward the main tower of the Undead Fortress. After a quick word with their own men, they hurried over.

"Boss, what's going on?" Liu Xingxing asked, hastily pulling on his clothes.

"The war has started, that's all," Li Ziyu said, glancing back at them with a grin.

Zhang Peng, who had also rushed over, raised an eyebrow at Li Ziyu's words. 'The boss looks happy even though a war has started. It seems this isn't a bad thing. The problem must not be serious; he has it all under control.'

Li Ziyu offered just that one reply before turning his attention away from them. He had to deploy his troops. 'This is a rare opportunity,' he mused. 'Over ten thousand Demonized Creatures... if I can take them all down, it'll be a massive power-up.'

The first to move out was the Skeleton Undead Corps. He sent one hundred thousand down, with another hundred thousand waiting outside to enter. After deploying the Undead Corps, Li Ziyu also dispatched one thousand Elite Heavy Hammer Skeleton Warriors and one thousand Skeleton Short Bowmen to go down as reinforcements.

He didn't send any Longbowmen. The underground space was limited, so they wouldn't be able to perform at their best. Deploying them would be a waste. In fact, sending the Elite Heavy Hammer Skeleton Warriors down was also somewhat suboptimal, but fortunately, the plaza at the front line was spacious enough for them to be effective.
