Chapter 242 - 143: Frenzied Skeleton 2
Frenzied Skeleton: ... (⊙_⊙;) ...
CLACK CLACK CLACK...
The Dark Skeleton couldn’t contain its glee. It had never been this happy. In its eyes, the other Skeleton Undead weren’t its kin. But this one in front of it—despite its different aura—was definitely one of them. ’And this one is hilarious!’
The Dark Skeleton’s clattering laughter caught the Frenzied Skeleton’s attention. It turned its head and silently stared at the other.
The strange aura made the Dark Skeleton slowly shut its jaw, unsure of what its new kin was planning. Then it saw a fist fly toward it, smashing right into its eye socket and sending its skull flying.

The headless skeleton sank down, shrinking into the shadows. It then emerged beside its skull, picked up its own head, placed it back on its neck, and lunged at the Frenzied Skeleton without hesitation.
The two Tattooed Skeleton Undead immediately started brawling, tossing heads and tearing off limbs in a chaotic melee. Liu Xingxing, watching from the side, was dumbfounded. ’You can fight like that? What an eye-opener.’
Li Ziyu slowly clenched his fists, a vein throbbing on his forehead. With a sudden roar, he yelled, "Both of you, knock it the hell off!"
At the sound of his furious roar, both Tattooed Skeleton Undead stopped at once and stood obediently.
"What do you think you’re doing? Fighting amongst yourselves? And you especially," Li Ziyu pointed at the two troublemakers and launched into a tirade. "You just got here and you’re already causing trouble! Are you trying to rebel?" He berated them until the two Skeletons couldn’t even lift their heads, looking just like misbehaving schoolboys being scolded.
"Get lost! Right now, this instant! Get out of my sight!" Li Ziyu pointed, and the two Tattooed Skeletons scurried away as if they’d been granted amnesty.
Li Ziyu panted heavily, cursing himself internally. ’Damn my itchy fingers. One Dark Skeleton was already a handful, but I just had to go and create a troublesome Frenzied Skeleton. Wasn’t I just asking for trouble? This is all on me.’
He panted for a while before finally calming down and putting the recent incident behind him.
’The Tattooed Skeletons are a lost cause. Let’s see what else I have... Right, there are still the Skeleton Beasts. Maybe they’ll be of some use. Hopefully, they’ll give me a pleasant surprise.’
The most common Demonized Beasts were Desert Wolves and Giant Tusked Boars. The Giant Tusked Boar was actually a type of wild boar with massive tusks and a row of arrow-like steel bristles down its back.
The type of Skeleton Beast summoned depended on the type of Demonized Beast skeleton used. After a moment of thought, Li Ziyu summoned one of each type, for a total of four Skeleton Beasts: a Dark Skeleton Desert Wolf, a Frenzy Skeleton Desert Wolf, a Dark Skeleton Giant Tusked Boar, and a Frenzied Skeleton Giant Tusked Boar.
These Skeleton Beasts were much more obedient and didn’t cause a scene like the Frenzied Skeleton had. They quietly entered the main building, came up to the roof, and stood submissively before Li Ziyu.
Li Ziyu sized up the four newly summoned Skeleton Beasts. His first impression was that they were strong. Their bones seemed to have been reinforced, making them thicker and harder than a normal Demonized Beast’s skeleton. In addition to their regular skeletons, certain parts were specially enhanced—for example, the Desert Wolf’s teeth and skull, and the Giant Tusked Boar’s tusks and dorsal bristles.
The Skeleton Beasts created with different runes also had different-colored bones. The Skeleton Beasts created with the Dark Rune had dark, grayish bones that gave off an ancient, decayed feeling. In contrast, the bones of the Skeleton Beasts created with the Frenzy Rune shone with a fiery red luster, as if they were about to burst into flames at any moment.
The Dark Element Skeleton Beasts vaguely blended into the shadows, easily overlooked if you weren’t paying attention. They had a natural camouflage; even the Desert Wolf and Giant Tusked Boar possessed this stealth effect. The Frenzy Series Skeleton Beasts were the complete opposite, extremely ostentatious, practically begging for attention.
’I think I’ve hit the jackpot. Judging by their appearance, they’re probably no weaker than a Skeleton Warrior—their combat power might even be higher. But they’re cheaper to create than Skeleton Warriors. The cost works out to only 10 units of Soul Energy.’
Li Ziyu was thrilled and decided to test the four Skeleton Beasts further.
When the Dark Skeleton Desert Wolf moved, it trailed a shadow behind it, swift as the wind. The Dark Skeleton Giant Tusked Boar, on the other hand, was like a moving mass of darkness; its speed was a bit slow, but its combat power was not to be underestimated.
The two from the Frenzy Series surprised Li Ziyu even more. The Frenzy Skeleton Desert Wolf could be described as sweeping past like fire; when it ran, it looked like a great wolf engulfed in flames. The Frenzied Skeleton Giant Tusked Boar was like a tank, just a bit stupid. It ran straight into a wall with considerable force, knocking an unlucky Skeleton Undead right off of it.
’This’ll work. Now, let’s see how they perform.’ Li Ziyu grinned, a plan already forming in his mind. He opened the system, did some calculations, and summoned 50 Dark Skeleton Desert Wolves and 50 Frenzied Skeleton Giant Tusked Boars. He sent them down into the caverns with orders to follow the Skeleton Undead below and slay Demonized Creatures.
’Ah, this is the joy of being a necromancer. The more you fight, the more you grow. The bigger your army, the stronger it becomes.’
Watching Li Ziyu’s actions, Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing couldn’t help but grin. ’There’s a reason he’s the boss,’ they thought. ’He’s absolutely savage.’ Fighting the Demonized Creatures to the death, then using the materials from their bodies to produce new Undead to send back down... ’Isn’t this basically a civil war?’
