’Maids, huh...’ Li Ziyu’s gaze drifted toward the Fox Maidens standing to the side. ’They’re not bad either.’

’It’s not that the Fox Maidens are bad, but my Fox Maidens are Wandering Souls. One careless moment and they turn water into ice cubes or roast meat into a frozen slab. It’s honestly a bit much to handle.’

’The Cat Girls, on the other hand, wouldn’t have so many problems.’

’Oh, right. I promised the Cat Girls they could come live on the platform, but we never signed a contract. This is the perfect time to take care of that.’

Having considered this, Li Ziyu nodded. "Since that’s the case, and I’m not an unreasonable man, you can serve as my maids. And, we’ll sign a contract."

’The contract is a must. I forgot last time, so I’ll make up for it now. Especially for maids, people who will be close to me. If they were to cause any trouble, it would be a huge problem.’

’Without the binding of a contract, they can’t be fully trusted.’

The Cat Girl Sisters knew about the contracts. They were aware that everyone from the Minotaur to the two City Lords, Zhang Peng and Liu Xingxing, had a contract with the Master of the Undead. But since the Lord City Lord hadn’t mentioned it, it wasn’t their place to bring it up. They had come mentally prepared this time, so when Li Ziyu brought it up, the two of them were actually relieved and nodded quickly.

Li Ziyu selected a contract from his system. This one was stricter—a formal servant contract, since the Cat Girl Sisters would be by his side as maids from now on.

When the Cat Girl Sisters received the contract, they had no hesitation. Without even looking at it, they signed the servant contract directly.

The contract took effect. The two of them had officially begun their duties as Li Ziyu’s maids.

The four Fox Maidens standing to the side exchanged glances and began communicating telepathically.

"It’s over, it’s over! They’ve stolen our position!" Spirit Maiden’s telepathic voice was full of sorrow and utterly listless. To her, Li Ziyu taking in the Catwoman Sisters was a sign that he was about to abandon them.

"Don’t be afraid, little sister," Mei Ji transmitted, a fighting spirit surging within her. "We’re Fox Maidens. Are we really going to lose to two little kittens? ’Hmph, trying to steal my man? They should take a good look at themselves first.’"

"My, my, my... It seems we’re being underestimated," Yan Ji’s voice dripped with sarcasm as she looked at the Cat Girls with disdain.

It was Ice Princess who, after a moment of thought, spoke up. "How about I just kill those two kittens right now? It would save us the eyesore."

"Stop!"

Mei Ji, Yan Ji, and Spirit Maiden replied in unison. ’Are you joking? The Lord City Lord has already accepted those two kittens as his maids, and you want to kill them? Do you really think he doesn’t have a temper?’

Mengmeng and Meng Ni suddenly shivered. They had an ominous feeling, as if they were being watched by some ferocious Monster!

Mengmeng noticed the Fox Maidens standing in a row. The four beautiful women were clearly smiling, but Mengmeng felt there was ill intent behind it. She gently tugged her sister’s arm. When Meng Ni looked over in confusion, Mengmeng gave her a subtle glance, directing her to look at the Fox Maidens.

Seeing Meng Ni look their way, the smiles on the Fox Maidens’ faces grew even more beautiful, like roses hiding sharp thorns.

"Sisters, I think they’ve noticed us," Spirit Maiden transmitted furtively.

"What’s there to be afraid of? Just keep smiling," Mei Ji transmitted. She was an old hand at this sort of thing. ’I’m a Fox Maiden with a black belt in mind games. You think I’m afraid of a little Cat Girl who’s barely weaned?’

"Just listen to Sister Mei Ji. Huh? Ice Princess, you’re actually smiling?" Yan Ji sounded astonished, as if she had discovered some great secret.

"It’s just a fake smile," Ice Princess’s telepathic voice was as cold as ever.

Mei Ji and Spirit Maiden’s gazes flicked over as well. She really was smiling, but it was a bone-chilling smile, like a mask. Spirit Maiden peeked behind her; sure enough, Sister Ice Princess was gripping the hilt of her Sword.

Li Ziyu didn’t sense anything was amiss at all. ’Did the temperature drop again? Why does it feel a little cold? Tsk, I should prepare some more clothes.’

"Starting today, you two will serve as my maids. Your main duties are very simple..." Li Ziyu walked up to the Cat Girl Sisters and began explaining their responsibilities. Of course, a maid’s duties did not include warming his bed.
