Liu Xingxing’s voice came from behind. Li Ziyu turned to see Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng approaching together. He nodded to them and walked back to his White Bone Throne to sit. "How were things during the day? Any developments?"

"It was quiet during the day. The Demonized Creatures don’t seem to like sunlight. When the sun was out, they were all quite calm and didn’t emerge," Zhang Peng said coolly. "However, some Demonized Beasts did run out around dusk. They were killed by the Undead guarding the area."

"It seems stationing some Undead around was useful after all. Is there any other new intelligence?" Li Ziyu nodded. He had been worried about this exact kind of sneak attack; it was a good thing he had prepared in advance.

’But why is it always just Demonized Beasts that come out? They’re not very useful.’

’It seems I’ll have to take the initiative if I want to get the corpses of intelligent beings like Demonized Minotaurs.’

Liu Xingxing stepped forward and handed Li Ziyu a stack of papers covered in information. "I sent another exploration team down today. They searched carefully again and confirmed the city’s location. That place might have what you’re looking for, Boss."

While Li Ziyu rested during the day, Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng hadn’t been idle. Zhang Peng was in charge of keeping watch over the surroundings, while Liu Xingxing marshaled their forces, continuously sending out exploration teams to gather intelligence below.

He came from a treasure hunting background, so expeditions like this were second nature to him, and he understood the importance of intelligence.

Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng followed Li Ziyu’s lead. Since their boss wanted to attack the Demonized Creatures, they naturally wouldn’t question it—they would just do their best to help.

Li Ziyu flipped through the papers in his hand, a satisfied expression appearing on his face. The report was quite detailed, documenting the various Demonized Creatures seen in the cavern, along with many hand-drawn sketches—of Demonized Creatures, of cave maps, and the very last sheet depicted a city gate.

The gate seemed to have originally been part of the underground passage, but it had been repaired and fitted with a pair of large doors. Through the doors, one could faintly make out shadowy buildings and unidentified creatures within.

These sketches were all drawn by the Treasure Hunting Catmen. Their artistic skill was quite good—very realistic.

Their observations were very detailed. Many of the sketches of Demonized Creatures even included analysis, with key areas highlighted, as if they were trying to determine the creatures’ weak points.

Just for the Catmen’s serious and responsible attitude, Li Ziyu had to give them a thumbs-up—and an extra meal while he was at it.

"The intelligence is very detailed. Zhang Peng, what have you found on your end?" Li Ziyu asked, turning to Zhang Peng after offering his praise.

"Boss, there’s been movement from the Alliance Army," Zhang Peng said, his expression grave.

"Oh? Have they already dispatched their troops?" Li Ziyu asked, startled.

’Why had he come looking for the Underground City in the first place? Wasn’t it to deal with the Cancerous Tumor Alliance Army?’

’It was inevitable. The enemy had gathered an army of several hundred thousand. This wasn’t something that could be resolved through negotiation; a battle was bound to happen sooner or later.’

Zhang Peng suddenly smiled and said playfully, "They haven’t dispatched their troops, because they *can’t* dispatch their troops."

"Why not?" Li Ziyu was completely baffled. He’d thought they were about to be attacked.

"According to our intel, they can’t find us," Zhang Peng said, unable to hold back a chuckle.

"Huh?" Li Ziyu paused for a moment, then burst out laughing as well.

’How ridiculous. I didn’t expect this unintentional side effect.’

When he was in the Wraith Mountain Range, fixed in one spot, the Cancerous Tumor Alliance Army had a clear destination. They just had to march on the Wraith Mountain Range, as if attacking a normal city.

But everyone had forgotten that the Undead Fortress could move. Li Ziyu had traveled from the Wraith Mountain Range to this place in search of the Demonized Creatures Dungeon, and as a result, the Cancerous Tumor Alliance Army, which had been on the verge of deploying, was completely dumbfounded.

Good heavens, just as we were about to attack, the city disappeared. Is this a joke? Who are we supposed to fight? The air?

Nothing like this had ever happened in all these years. They’d seen enemies flee, but they’d never seen a city run away.

"So what are they doing now?" Li Ziyu asked, suppressing his laughter.

"The main army is still holding its position. They’ve sent out a large number of scouts and spies, and they’re searching the whole world for us." Zhang Peng couldn’t hide his smile when he talked about it. He never expected a war to turn out like this.

Li Ziyu burst out laughing. The whole thing was hilarious.

’This is a good thing, though. While they’re looking for me, I’m buying time.’

’Yes, once you find me, I’ll just run again. Then you can search again. We can just play hide-and-seek.’

Li Ziyu suddenly felt that he might not even have to fight them to win. He could just wear them down. As long as he took a little stroll every now and then, there was nothing they could do about him.

An army of several hundred thousand... would they mobilize to chase him all over the world? Of course not. They would only march after getting a confirmed location. And marching takes time—enough time for him to get far, far away and lead them on another merry chase.

’Heh. If you don’t come, I won’t move. If you come, I’ll run. In any case, you’ll never catch me.’

And if things continued like this, it wouldn’t matter to Li Ziyu, but he doubted the Cancerous Tumor Alliance Army felt the same. His Undead didn’t need to eat or drink, but the Warriors of the Cancerous Tumor Alliance Army were mere mortals who needed food, water, and rest. For an army of several hundred thousand, the daily consumption would be terrifying. Over time, no one could withstand that.

If the enemy couldn’t take the pressure and split their forces, things would get even more interesting. To fight a larger force with a smaller one, using guerilla tactics... if Li Ziyu still couldn’t win then, he might as well just kill himself sooner rather than later.
