Chapter 731: Spiritual Energy Vibration
“Damn, these people are way too much. Are they trying to take everyone down with them?”
Lin Ye sighed. Enemies without brains were even harder to deal with than enemies with brains.
A genius’s ten years of hard work might not even compare to a fool’s sudden bright idea.
“Do you want to make a move on those people?”
Little Guardian asked.
“I’ve already made my move.”
The Parasitism Network hadn’t completely collapsed yet. He could still use it to deal with these idiots.
Under Lin Ye’s control, all those spiritual energy users turned and charged toward the portal, but the moment they reached it, they collapsed to the ground.
The moment they lost control, all those spiritual energy users exploded simultaneously. The violent explosion triggered a Spiritual Energy Vibration.
“You bastard!”
A Controller wearing a protective suit charged at the Alienated Body standing outside the World of Ashes and punched it into a pulp of flesh.
This guy hadn’t been affected by the Parasitism Network and was extremely powerful.
After the Alienated Body died, a swarm of Mutation Creatures rushed at the Controller from every direction. This was Lin Ye’s first real fight against a Controller.
“Damn it! Don’t you know those researchers had the materials for making portals?! If they die, we’ll all be trapped here!”
Karsai punched a parasitic mining rat that charged at him to self-destruct, shattering even the explosion into debris.
“You’ll be trapped here. I can leave anytime.”
A parasitic mining rat standing not far away spoke up.
“The hell do you know?! That gas suppresses spatial teleportation! Ordinary portals can’t stay stable in this Plane at all!”
Karsai charged over and punched the rat that had spoken, shattering it, letting out a crazed roar.
“Perfect. I was worried someone might accidentally open a portal leading here.”
That was exactly why Lin Ye had to kill those spiritual energy users quickly—he was afraid they’d recklessly open portals and destroy other planes.
“Goddammit! I just wanted to grab some people for mining! How the hell did I run into a bastard like you?!”
Karsai kept killing the parasitic mining rats that spoke, but these things were everywhere, and every single one of them could talk.
“All you can do is smash things? This is what a Controller is? Seems kinda weak. Are you like, the weakest kind of Controller or something?”
Lin Ye tried communicating with the guy using friendly words. The smoke hadn’t gotten close to his area yet, so he could still control the Parasitism Network.
“Come out! I’ll show you whether I’m weak or not!”
Karsai was about to lose his mind. The Parasitism Network masked Lin Ye’s mental energy fluctuations, and he couldn’t find Lin Ye’s location at all.
He had no idea Lin Ye was nearby. He thought Lin Ye was hiding deep inside some mine shaft.
“This is the first time I’ve seen a loser like you. You’ve already advanced to Controller, and you’re still using your body for close combat. Are you an ape? Is your brain just for decoration?”
Lin Ye looked down on this guy. Sure, he occasionally relied on physical strength himself, but even in close combat, he used his Alienated Body to launch attacks for him.
“…You’ve really pissed me off.”
Karsai suddenly stopped in place. The nearby spiritual energy erupted into chaotic fluctuations, and parasitic creatures that got close were instantly shattered into pieces before they even reached him.
“What are you doing? Mediocre strength, but you sure know how to posture.”
A parasitic mining rat in the distance spoke arrogantly.
Lin Ye had already started running. He’d sensed dense rule power near this guy.
“Scum! Die!”
Karsai slammed his fist into the ground. The entire planet shuddered, and a tenth of it was shattered into fragments by that single blow.
A black spike pierced through Karsai’s chest. Before he could even react, his heart was ripped out.
For Karsai, while the heart wasn’t as important as the spiritual energy core, it was still incredibly lethal.
If the guy had attacked his spiritual energy core instead, Karsai wouldn’t have taken such heavy damage—he’d set up plenty of defensive measures around his vital spots.
Red Flash—Extreme Slash!
An Alienated Body instantly teleported behind Karsai, driving the high-level spiritual energy weapon in its hand straight into Karsai’s body.
The Alienated Body was immediately blown apart, and Karsai casually shattered the spiritual energy weapon as well.
“Cough… cough…”
Karsai suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood. His blood began to burn, and his body started to collapse.
One by one, spiritual energy nodes formed from parasitic creatures were triggered. A Spiritual Energy Vibration sweeping across the entire planet had already been born and was now destroying it.
This was a method Lin Ye had learned while studying Efficient Processing. It was just way too extreme, so he’d never tried it before.
This time, he figured he might as well give it a shot.
“Not a bad result.”
Watching the Controller, trapped in the Spiritual Energy Vibration and unable to break free, along with that planetary giant beast hiding deep inside the mine shaft, Lin Ye was very satisfied with this experiment.
Even those gray-green smoke couldn’t escape the Spiritual Energy Vibration.
Lin Ye used the Teleportation Card inside the World of Ashes. A black portal appeared within that space.
Although he’d deliberately avoided the area where the World of Ashes was located when he triggered the Spiritual Energy Vibration, he had no way to control a Spiritual Energy Vibration of this scale. If he didn’t want to get caught up in it, the only option was to run through a portal.
“Too bad I can’t grab the loot… Actually, not that big a loss.”
Lin Ye stepped into the portal and left this planet that was about to be destroyed.
………………………………
“Holy shit!”
The moment Lin Ye stepped out of the portal, he let out a startled yell.
He’d been teleported to a place where the sky was filled with gray-green smoke.
Right now, he was standing on a very wide road, with rows of abandoned factories lining both sides.
These factories were already scrapped, but on top of those massive cooling towers, thick gray-green smoke was still continuously pouring out.
“Damn, of all places, I had to get sent here. This is such bad luck.”
Lin Ye had no idea how long his protective measures could hold out in this environment, but he’d better get the hell out of here as soon as possible.
The Teleportation Card could still be used once, but he didn’t think he’d been teleported here because of bad luck.
That Controller had said ordinary methods couldn’t teleport through the smoke. This area would probably affect the teleportation target.
Even if he used the Teleportation Card again, he might just get sent to another part of this area.
‘Guess I should find the exit here first.’
Since these smoke affected mental energy, Lin Ye couldn’t sense his surroundings with it. He could only rely on his five senses to observe the area.
Lin Ye didn’t go straight inside any of the factories. He felt there was some unknown risk lurking inside them.
He found a nearly scrapped bicycle on the side of the road, hopped on, and started speeding down the street.
Soon, Lin Ye spotted an abandoned supermarket by the roadside. It wasn’t big—only about a hundred square meters.
Lin Ye parked the bicycle by the curb, pushed open the supermarket’s old, battered door, and stepped inside.
Inside the supermarket, there was only a counter and two rows of shelves. The shelves were packed with all kinds of weapons and gas masks. There wasn’t even a single bottle of water.
