Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 499: Both Sides Going All Out. (Bonus Chapter)

Listening to the miserable scream of the Scorpion King, all the Scorpion Clansmen hiding inside their homes couldn’t help but shiver.

What happened?

Fear and panic gripped their souls, tightening around them with every passing moment. Just hearing their King’s cry was enough to send many into despair.

If their King could cry out like an injured beast, then what about them?

Many wallowed in despair.

"We are finished!"

"We are doomed!"

While most of the Scorpion Clansmen were drowning in despair, the scene inside the palace had changed completely.

"I don’t know where you are hiding, but I promise you will pay dearly for this!" the Scorpion King shouted.

He was truly enraged.

Thick veins protruded from his forehead like writhing worms, while a thick, suffocating aura emanated from his body.

The hard stone beneath his feet crumbled into dust under the overwhelming pressure.

He ignored the undead cannon fodder around him as he began frantically searching for the Necromancer.

After witnessing the horror of the blood tornado, he finally came to a realization.

He had underestimated the human.

And that mistake had cost him dearly.

Thus, to redeem his mistake and correct everything, he had to kill the human Necromancer at all costs. Just as he was searching for the human Necromancer, he noticed a change in the undead soldiers.

They were retreating.

Hmm?

Seeing this, the Scorpion King halted in his tracks and stared around him with narrowed eyes. From behind the ruins of the palace, he saw them.

Undead figures in black cloaks were marching toward him, and the aura surrounding each of them was entirely different from that of the undead cannon fodder.

’So, I’ve been fighting the ordinary undead.’

He wasn’t stupid and immediately realized what was happening.

And from this, he could tell that the human Necromancer was finally taking him seriously. To be precise, he wanted to finish him off and claim his city as his own.

Even though he understood the human Necromancer’s plan, he was neither surprised nor furious.

He was calm.

Too calm for someone watching his city and clansmen being brutally slaughtered by his enemy.

Watching the incoming cloaked undead figures, the Scorpion King slowly tore off the robes covering his body.

And behold.

Beneath his robes was shiny armor, glistening beneath the light of the three moons.

The armor covered his powerful body from his shoulders down to his legs, its surface reflecting the crimson glow filling the battlefield.

His aura changed completely.

The arrogance and rage that had previously dominated his expression disappeared. What remained was the cold composure of a King preparing for war.

Hanging around his waist was his weapon.

A gauntlet.

The Scorpion King slowly reached down and pulled it free.

Clang!

The metallic sound echoed across the ruined palace. The moment the gauntlet covered his fist, an oppressive aura erupted from his body.

Boom!

The stone beneath his feet cracked apart. He slowly raised his head and stared at the approaching undead.

’T-This...’

Thoren was stunned when he saw the armor and gauntlet.

Just from their appearance, he could tell they were High Grade Bronze equipment.

’So, it is true.’

’The Scorpion Clan possessed more than one High Grade Bronze equipment,’ he mused and a strong fighting spirit burned in his eyes.

Others might have been scared or terrified because the Scorpion King had unveiled his High Grade Bronze equipment.

But he was not.

Since the Scorpion King was going all out, it would be foolish of him to underestimate him. Without hesitation, he summoned all his most powerful undead soldiers under his command.

From the east, west, south, and north, undead draped in black cloaks marched toward the Scorpion King.

The undead General’s massive saber made a scratching sound against the rubble as he dragged it forward toward the Scorpion King.

The undead Kharv walked beside him, his massive axe resting on his shoulder, while his deep hollow sockets burned with pale, eerie soul fire.

Opposite him, the undead Storm Tyrant, the undead Guild Captain, and the undead Elite Jackal Beastman approached, each carrying a weapon more intimidating than the last.

To the south, the undead Royalty Stonewall’s black blade gleamed ominously. Beside him stood three undead Commanders, each radiating a powerful undead aura.

To the north, the undead Garron held a massive butcher knife, while another three undead Scorpion Men stood beside him.

The weakest among them were Level 38 undead soldiers.

Under the overwhelming undead energy radiating from their bodies, the space inside the palace trembled violently.

It was as if the very vacuum around them was about to shatter.

Those hiding inside their homes could feel the sudden change in the atmosphere.

It was as if something possessing unimaginable power was about to descend upon the city.

What could it be?

Many thought about it for a moment, but they quickly threw the thought out of their minds. Right now, their priority was figuring out how to survive their current predicament.

Back inside the palace, the Scorpion King stared at the undead without taking a single step. It would be a lie to say he was not surprised by the massive strength of the human Necromancer.

However, as a King who had ruled for decades, he was far from being intimidated by the enemy’s lineup.

His eyes slowly swept across the undead surrounding him.

One after another.

The General.

Kharv.

The Storm Tyrant.

The Guild Captain.

The Elite Jackal Beastman.

The Royalty Stonewall.

The Commanders.

Every single one possessed an aura that would have been enough to make an ordinary Scorpion Man tremble in fear.

But the Scorpion King remained unmoved. His grip slowly tightened around his gauntlet. The metallic armor covering his body reflected the faint light of the three moons above.

He lowered his body slightly and when the distance between them was less than ten meters, he charged forward.

Vanished.

His figure vanished from his spot, moving at a frightening speed. The air exploded behind him as his powerful body crossed the distance almost instantly.

Thoren did not dare delay and immediately relayed his command through their mental link.

"Kill!"

Instantly, all the cloaked undead figures moved in unison.

Boom!
