Chapter 1010 - 1006: Unique Laws
Ozawa Miwa’s actions came to a halt involuntarily. Liu Mei slightly furrowed her brows, then she extended a hand to her ear, listening intently, and found that someone was indeed calling her. However, due to the maze’s twists and turns, the voice reaching her ears felt somewhat strange.
Since it was confirmed that someone was indeed calling her, Ozawa Miwa began to seriously ponder who this familiar voice could belong to.
After thinking it over without reaching any conclusion, Ozawa Miwa decided to set her concerns aside, raised both hands in a calling gesture, and loudly responded to the sky, "Who are you?"
As the words left her mouth, Ozawa Miwa felt a slight pain in her throat. To be honest, she wasn’t sure what would happen after she responded.
But in such a solitary situation, hearing someone speak was like seeing a ray of light in the darkness. Since things had deteriorated to this point, what more was there to fear?
So, whether it was giving up or anything else, Ozawa Miwa felt it was necessary to respond.
Nonetheless, out of basic rationale and self-preservation, Ozawa Miwa seriously contemplated who the owner of that familiar voice could be.
Firstly, she was certain that the person wouldn’t be trapped in the maze like herself. The fact that the voice’s owner was able to call out her name accurately suggested this.
Also, since they could call out her name accurately and the voice sounded somewhat familiar, Ozawa Miwa believed that the person must know her. If so, then there shouldn’t be any danger.
Just as her mind was racing with thoughts, the voice came to her ears once more...
"Stay where you are, I’ll come to you!"
Her thoughts interrupted, Ozawa Miwa exhaled deeply and responded as she did earlier, "Alright!"
...
Outside the maze entrance, Xiao Tian let out a sigh of relief. As long as he could confirm that Ozawa Miwa was in the maze, he could set aside the fear of entering rashly without finding her and instead placing himself in danger.
The next steps were straightforward: find a way to locate Ozawa Miwa and lead her out. Once this was accomplished, this stage would be cleared.
However, stating it was simple was merely expressing it that way. Finding Ozawa Miwa in such an enormous maze relied not only on luck and probability but also on identifying the correct method.
As for methodically entering the maze and carefully searching everywhere, Xiao Tian hadn’t considered this approach at all for a very simple reason—there wasn’t enough time.
If there was ample time, Xiao Tian wouldn’t mind using an indirect approach. But the problem was, once the silver needle in the Mengling Acupoint was removed by external force, the Dream Realm’s passage would instantly close, leaving both Xiao Tian and Ozawa Miwa unable to bear the outcome.
Whether they’d be erased by the Space Law, Xiao Tian didn’t know. But he was certain that leaving would be impossible. They’d have to wait for the Dream Realm to open again. In such an isolated Illusion Realm, unable to connect with the outside, who knew when the passage would open again?
Furthermore, even without external interference, the Dream Realm couldn’t remain open indefinitely. The exact duration of the silver needle’s stimulation effectiveness was uncertain—perhaps the next moment, perhaps several hours later.
Knowing all this, Xiao Tian wasn’t able to waste a single second, as it would be like joking with his and Ozawa Miwa’s lives!
...
Raising his gaze to the towering maze walls, initially estimating them to be at least ten zhang high, the walls were smooth as if sliced cleanly, leaving no foothold unless one could leap upwards without stopping or support, making any ascent highly unlikely.
After making a simple judgment, Xiao Tian immediately abandoned the idea of climbing using his Body Technique to look for Ozawa Miwa from above, instead shifting his thoughts to other methods.
If the location was not the Dream Realm but the Divine Sense Realm, Xiao Tian could easily materialize in front of Ozawa Miwa with a single thought, like a Divine Weapon descending from the heavens.
However, the reality was that he was currently in an ordinary person’s Dream Realm, lacking the controllability of the Divine Sense Realm. Despite the feat of entering the Dream Realm, he had to abide by this space’s unique laws.
Of course, this wasn’t absolute. Since it was called the Dream Realm, this maze couldn’t have formed naturally but must have some underlying reasons... perhaps the owner of this space, Ozawa Miwa, could manipulate it.
Thinking this, Xiao Tian immediately shouted, "Close your eyes and try to imagine eliminating the maze trapping you in your mind."
Moments later, Ozawa Miwa’s voice echoed from within the maze.
"What use is this?"
Knowing it couldn’t be quickly explained, and with time constraints, Xiao Tian could only shout again, "Now’s not the time to explain, just do as I say!"
After receiving no response for a while, Xiao Tian knew Ozawa Miwa was attempting his method, intently observing the maze before him, hoping not to miss any anomaly.
The next instant, the maze’s brick seams leaked a bit of light, and then the entire structure began transforming into a semi-illusory state, swaying like the rippling of still waters, seeming as though it could dissipate at any moment.
This phenomenon caused Xiao Tian’s eyes to brighten momentarily as he silently cheered for Ozawa Miwa, hoping she wouldn’t disappoint!
The towering walls maintained the semi-illusory state for only about half a minute before the light extinguished, reverting to a solid state. Undoubtedly, Ozawa Miwa... had failed.
Unbeknownst to Xiao Tian, the young princess within the maze was already drenched in fragrant sweat, kneeling on the ground, her fringe clinging to her smooth white forehead, her breath somewhat heavy, as if she had just finished a long-distance run.
After taking several deep breaths, without understanding why this had occurred, Ozawa Miwa, fearing that Xiao Tian had left, immediately shouted, "Sorry, I can’t do it!"
Outside the maze, Xiao Tian’s face darkened to the extreme. He wasn’t unprepared for Ozawa Miwa’s failure, but witnessing a situation so close yet persistently out of reach left him with an indescribable feeling of frustration.
"Try again!" Xiao Tian growled lowly, his frustration at the uncontrollable Dream Realm evident.
