Chapter 300
Adam didn’t know how long these swords had been here, but they were as pristine as if they were brand new.
"Young Master, are all these swords for me?" Cecilia asked in surprise, looking at the large pile of precious swords on the ground.
"Of course, I have the Yellow Emperor’s Sword, so these swords aren’t of much use to me." Adam smiled and nodded.
"Furthermore, I have a divine ability to teach you!"
After saying that, Adam pulled out a secret manual from his storage bag, this was a technique he had comprehended from the autobiography of a Sword Saint within the Book Saint’s legacy.
"Ah? There’s a secret manual too!" Cecilia was pleasantly surprised, they hadn’t even explored much yet, but she had already obtained a tremendous amount of fortunate encounters.
"This manual requires a vast number of swords to execute, making it perfectly suited for you!" Adam smiled, the manual was named Ten Thousand Swords Scripture.
Although the name sounded ordinary, it was actually an advanced sword-control technique.
For an average sword cultivator, being able to fully master and perfectly control a single sword was already considered incredibly formidable.
But this manual taught how to control countless swords, making each one act as if personally wielded by your own hand, cultivated to a profound level, a single person could control ten thousand swords.
That Sword Saint could control many swords, while his opponents could only control one, back in his day, he defeated countless foes using this somewhat shameless numerical advantage, Adam didn’t need it, however, because he possessed the Supreme Sword Controlling Technique, to him, all swords in the world were like his own fingers, manipulated with absolute, effortless ease.
"Thank you, Young Master!" Cecilia naturally wouldn’t stand on ceremony with Adam, she happily accepted the sword manual.
"Alright, let’s keep moving forward!" Adam smiled and nodded, he gripped the Yellow Emperor’s Sword in his hand and carried the Dragon-Tiger Jade Auspicious Scepter at his waist.
A fall in the pit, a gain in wit, not knowing what awaited them in the next restriction, he had to be fully armed and ready.
"Yes, Young Master!" Cecilia gripped her own sword, stored all forty-nine precious swords into her storage bag, and followed Adam’s steps.
Stepping through the entrance, both of them frowned slightly.
Because there was nothing in front of them except an infinitely vast grassy plain.
The green wild grass grew waist-high, swaying gently in an unfathomable breeze.
The area of this grassy plain was enormous, appearing several times larger than the entire ancient tomb itself, this was absolutely abnormal.
The sound of grass rubbing together echoed in their ears, Adam furrowed his brow, he had a bad premonition.
There had to be danger hidden within this dense, waist-high grass.
Because of his Omniscience of All Things premonition, Adam always trusted his instincts implicitly, but since they were already here, simply staying put wouldn’t bring opportunities to their doorstep.
This was only the tenth restriction, given his current strength, they shouldn’t have reached a completely unmanageable situation just yet.
"Cecilia, be careful, this grassy plain is not simple," Adam warned in a low voice, he gripped the Yellow Emperor’s Sword tightly with both hands, spiritual energy surging faintly through his body, ready to deal with any danger at a moment’s notice.
Cecilia nodded, gripping the sword in her hand, her eyes vigilantly scanned the surroundings.
The two advanced slowly, taking every step with extreme caution.
This grassy plain was unnervingly quiet, aside from the sound of the breeze brushing against the grass blades, there was no other noise.
This profound silence made Adam and Cecilia even more tense, having half their bodies submerged in the tall grass left both of them feeling entirely devoid of any sense of security.
"Cecilia, let’s fly up!" Adam frowned, deciding not to be stubborn and push through blindly, the two subsequently floated into the air above the grass.
Because they were flying, their field of vision broadened considerably.
However, as far as the eye could see, it was still just an endless expanse of lush green grass, very strange, why would there be such a massive grassy plain inside the Immortal Burial Ancient Tomb? Did the tomb’s master simply like grass?
Traversing these ten restrictions, the scene within each one had been completely different.
The deeper they went, the stranger it became, they were all scenes that logically shouldn’t appear inside a tomb, however, this scene actually made Adam think of the Grass-Character Sword Technique.
In the visions he had seen, the Grass-Character Sword Technique was born in a grassy plain exactly like this one.
Could it be that the Supreme Sword Grass was connected to the master of this tomb? The moment this thought arose, Adam dismissed it.
There were millions of grassy plains in the world, how could that be possible? And what kind of relationship would compel the tomb’s master to dedicate an entire burial chamber to the Supreme Sword Grass?
The two continued to fly forward, after an unknown stretch of time, there was still only grass all around.
Absolutely no change.
"Could the profound mystery be hidden beneath this grass?" Adam swung the Yellow Emperor’s Sword, intending to cleave through the wild grass.
But suddenly, the grass that had been swaying gently in the breeze became incredibly tough, exactly like solid steel.
A sharp sound of metal colliding rang outm Adam’s sword aura only managed to leave shallow marks on the grass blades.
Then the wild grass slowly reverted to its soft, wind-swaying state.
Cecilia was slightly startled, staring at the strange grass in astonishment, to think that such a bizarre existence existed in this world.
Suddenly, she heard her Young Master speak. "Could this be... Sword Grass?"
Adam recalled that there were records of this type of grass in the books left behind by the Book Saint.
And the Supreme Sword Grass was born precisely when ordinary Sword Grass developed sentience and obtained a Heaven and Earth opportunity.
Then all of this Sword Grass was an absolute treasure.
As long as the extracted juice was added during the forging process, a sword would become incomparably sharper and infinitely tougher, even if a sword was already forged, frequently soaking it in Sword Grass juice would yield the exact same effect.
However, Sword Grass had already gone completely extinct in the Mysterious Yellow Great World.
