Chapter 238 (Inspiration Capsule Extra - )
"Aren’t you guys worried that after the Vice Chief leaves, he won’t ever come back?" Ava puffed out her cheeks and asked.
"What’s there to worry about? Even if the Vice Chief doesn’t return, won’t we just live our lives normally like always?"
"Yeah! Even if we can’t get out, we don’t really lose anything by staying here!"
"I actually think it’s pretty nice here, we never have to worry about food or clothes, if we go to the outside world, we might even go hungry!" The three little companions continuously voiced their opinions.
"How can you say that? You have absolutely no ambition! The Vice Chief said the outside world is ten thousand times bigger than here, no, a hundred million times bigger!" Ava immediately grew anxious, she stood up on the branch, her little face full of frustration at their lack of drive.
"So what? Bigger isn’t necessarily better! The Vice Chief also said there are lots of bad people in the outside world!"
"Yeah! And there’s the Demon Race, I heard they eat people! So scary!"
"Though, no matter how scary they are, they couldn’t possibly be scarier than... Ah, I was wrong, stop pulling my ear!"
Ava furiously pinched the ear of the little boy next to her, her face puffed up with anger. "How am I scary? Say that one more time!"
"Alright, stop messing around, the Vice Chief will definitely return, come on, time to head back and get things ready." Sevan suddenly appeared, tucking the four little rascals under his arms, he hurried back toward the tribe.
In truth, the majority of the tribe shared the same worry as these little ones, secretly fearing Adam wouldn’t return, but Sevan firmly believed in him, because someone capable of wielding the Yellow Emperor’s Sword would never break a promise.
...
The Next Day.
Adam and Cecilia boarded the ferry, their cabin was just an ordinary room, and the two didn’t attract any attention, although the ticket was expensive, as cultivators, affording this amount was no issue.
The ferry departed at noon and flew steadily until nightfall.
"Alright, Cecilia, I’m heading out, if the ferry guards come to check the rooms, cover for me." Adam set up an illusion formation in the room.
As long as outsiders entered, they would see him sleeping at night and reading during the day, combined with Cecilia’s cover, ordinary ferry guards wouldn’t discover his absence.
"Understood, Young Master, please be careful, come back as soon as you can." In her heart and on her face, Cecilia didn’t want Adam to make this trip.
But in the end, Adam had convinced her.
The Demon Race was incredibly cruel, committing all sorts of atrocities.
Now, they had invaded the entire Mysterious Yellow Great World, plunging the mortal realm into absolute misery.
This was no longer a simple personal grudge with the Demon Race.
This was a war that concerned every living soul in the Mysterious Yellow Great World.
The Young Master was going this time to make the Demon Race bleed profusely.
"Alright, don’t worry." Adam smiled faintly, and his figure vanished from the room.
When he reappeared, he was inside a cave he had prepared in advance, a cavern formed who knew how many years ago.
The space inside was massive, more than enough for Adam to fully exercise his skills.
He was going to lay down a formation.
A colossal formation, the kind that would make even a Saint scratch their head in frustration.
However, the formation wouldn’t be limited to the small confines of the cave, he intended to cover the entire mountain.
The outer formations would trap enemies, while the inner formations inside the cave would be used for offense.
The formations involved were extremely complex, requiring multiple formations working in perfect tandem, and that required an astronomical amount of spirit stones.
Unfortunately for his enemies, Adam satisfied both conditions perfectly.
Not to mention the vast amount of spirit stones he brought from the Spirit-Forsaken Land, he had also just made a massive fortune off the scruffy old Daoist.
Adam made a rough estimate, it was more than enough.
Once the formations were set, he would use the Heavenly Demon Tracking Map as bait, he would wait and see what kind of experts the Demon Race would dispatch.
If the Demons never showed up, he would simply erase the tracking formation within the map and keep the artifact for himself, he still wouldn’t lose out.
Action followed thought, Adam immediately began setting up the formations, this was a monumental project.
A day and a night passed.
Adam finally finished laying out the formations.
The time spent was even longer than when he had forced open the spatial rift in the Spirit-Forsaken Land.
Not only was the overall power significantly greater, but the most time-consuming part was the camouflage formations, he absolutely could not let the Demons sense anything here, otherwise, they wouldn’t even step inside.
Once everything was ready, Adam deactivated the interference on the Heavenly Demon Tracking Map, exposing its true location.
From this moment on, the trap was set.
Now, he just had to wait for the fish to take the bait.
...
The Demon Race’s Eastern Advancement Army Camp.
Inside the newly retrieved military tent.
"Commander, Adam’s location is no longer moving, he’s likely found a hiding spot, should we leak the information now?" the blood-robed Demon Cultivator asked slowly.
"How are Houda’s preparations? If he is ready, have him depart, and then spread the intelligence," the crested man nodded indifferently.
Houda was a general he had painstakingly handpicked, a Ninth Heaven Deity, he carried a Concealment Demon Bead that could perfectly mask his demonic aura.
Aside from physically carrying it, merely bathing in its demonic light for a period could temporarily hide one’s aura.
However, this method was restricted by cultivation strength.
If the user was too powerful, it wouldn’t work, they had to physically carry the bead, but the Demon Race possessed exactly three such Demon Beads in total.
One for each of the three major armies, used specifically for critical infiltration missions.
"He has been ready for a while."
"Good, then let us begin!" The crested man nodded, a vicious glint flashing in his eyes, he absolutely refused to believe that a Ninth Heaven Deity would fail.
