Forehead against forehead, Mu Lianxiao stared unblinkingly at Du Yunluo.

The bed curtains blocked out the candlelight from outside, yet Mu Lianxiao’s eyes could still see clearly in the darkness.

He gently pecked at the tip of Du Yunluo’s nose, his gaze meticulously tracing her features, her visage.

Du Yunluo’s lips parted slightly, and with her breathing, the scent of rouge lingered between his breaths, sweet but not cloying.

Mu Lianxiao lowered his head to seek her lips, planting delicate and continuous kisses, so entangled that he was reluctant to part even for a moment.

Du Yunluo’s eyelids drooped slightly, her hands rested on Mu Lianxiao’s shoulders. Though her body couldn’t muster much strength, she felt grounded.

A kind of groundedness that words could not describe.

He was right beside her, and just this made Du Yunluo fearless.

Playfully, her pearl-white teeth nibbled on Mu Lianxiao’s lower lip.

Mu Lianxiao felt the pain and looked up at her in surprise, only to see Du Yunluo smiling, her brows and eyes curved, her smile charming and endearing.

The fire in his heart exploded with a roar.

He had always thought that even he, Mu Lianxiao, couldn’t hold her and kiss her, and at this moment of fulfilling his long-held wish, he had thought the nameless fire in his chest might diminish. Yet, Du Yunluo’s act seemed to add fuel to the fire.

The fire burned even more fiercely, almost threatening to envelop him entirely.

His hand slid down along her side, back and forth, finally resting on the chest that rose and fell with her breathing.

Just embracing and kissing through the thin layer of her inner garment, Mu Lianxiao had sensed the undulating waves; now that his hand lay gently there, he felt the enchanting allure all the more, and the inner garment seemed a bothersome obstruction.

The inner garment was much easier to handle than the phoenix crown.

Mu Lianxiao untied Du Yunluo’s sash with deft movements, and their inner garments were tossed to the foot of the bed. He then pulled the brocade quilt over them, wrapping both tightly.

Du Yunluo under the quilt felt like she couldn’t catch her breath again.

The lips that had sealed her breath were released, now lingering on her chest, fingers with slight calluses brushing over the rising hills, kneading and teasing, prompting Du Yunluo to twist her waist involuntarily, trying to evade.

Yet she couldn’t evade at all.

A barely audible crack, Du Yunluo’s body stiffened—she had crushed a longan again.

She should have known!

It was also Jin Rui who tidied the bed back then, leaving her a longan, and now it’s the same, nestled near her waist. If she didn’t move, it would be fine, but she twisted her waist to dodge and ended up crushing it.

Du Yunluo pouted, her hands held by Mu Lianxiao. Did she really have to kick him?

She had thought it through well before, but when it came to the moment, Du Yunluo found she couldn’t kick, not because she was reluctant, but because both her legs were pinned down by him, and she couldn’t muster strength.

"Princely Heir..." Du Yunluo called out to him, breathless, "I’ve crushed something..."

Mu Lianxiao paused his movements, reluctantly raising his head, "What did you crush?"

The pressure on her body eased considerably, and Du Yunluo half-propped herself up, felt her waist, and showed the crushed longan to Mu Lianxiao.

Mu Lianxiao couldn’t help but chuckle. He wiped the bed to ensure no debris was left: "Did it hurt? Turn over, let me see."

His hoarse voice seemed to entice her, and obediently, Du Yunluo turned over, revealing her delicate, smooth back in front of Mu Lianxiao.

White as jade, breathtakingly beautiful.

For a moment, Mu Lianxiao was a little entranced until he saw Du Yunluo’s side.

Apparently, the longan shell had left a slender, faint red mark on her side.

"Here?" Mu Lianxiao’s fingertip brushed over the mark.

Du Yunluo’s body stiffened; her waist was most ticklish.

Just as she was about to evade, her pupils suddenly contracted, and a soft cry escaped her lips—Mu Lianxiao kissed that red mark.

Her slender waist was held by Mu Lianxiao, and she felt the heat of his hands would set her entire being alight, while his lingering, playful kisses and nibbles on her waist and back nearly drove her insane.

Du Yunluo wanted to turn over, but Mu Lianxiao wouldn’t allow it. Amidst the struggle, her dudou, already loosened by Mu Lianxiao, completely vanished, along with her undergarments. Yet, Du Yunluo didn’t feel cold; she felt scorching hot throughout.

Mu Lianxiao was even hotter than her.

He wanted to hold Du Yunluo tightly, tightly in his arms, to hear her uncontrollable soft moans, just like moments ago, that unexpected soft cry nearly drove him wild.

But he was still restraining himself, not daring to be too wanton; his Yunluo was tender and delicate; even a longan could leave a mark on her. He didn’t want to carelessly hurt her.

Though this level of restraint was hard to gauge, he might soon lose control.

Du Yunluo was also struggling to regain her composure. When she faced Mu Lianxiao, she instinctively raised her arms to encircle his neck, half-raising her body to reach for his lips.

Mu Lianxiao lowered his head and captured her lips. This time, the kiss was far more fervent and lingering than at the beginning.

Even though Du Yunluo was wholly invested, she was only fifteen, and smaller than other girls her age. She was almost about to cry from the pain.

Mu Lianxiao, also sweating profusely, held Du Yunluo, soothing her gently, calling her name repeatedly.

With her small face buried in Mu Lianxiao’s neck, Du Yunluo knew he was no more comfortable than she was, yet Mu Lianxiao still loved and pampered her...

Sniffing a little, thinking it was the first time and things always seemed like this, she had clearly told him she wasn’t afraid.

So she shouldn’t be afraid.

Embracing and being embraced by her was the person she had yearned for and longed for decades, the one she wanted to have children with, to spend a lifetime together. This pain was sweet like honey.

Du Yunluo raised her eyes, kissed Mu Lianxiao’s lips, and smiled.

Mu Lianxiao’s gentle movements gradually turned wild, as his Yunluo’s enthusiasm made it hard for him to resist.

Even though the pain made her want to curl up entirely, Du Yunluo held him tightly, taking the initiative to kiss him, clinging to him through every emotional upheaval.

Mu Lianxiao let out a long breath, the simmering fire in his chest slowly dispersed, leaving him inexplicably comfortable.

And Du Yunluo, already half-dazed, had only one thought in her mind: no matter how inexperienced a man was, when it came to such matters, he was instinctively adept, leaving her defenseless.

Utterly infuriating!

Mu Lianxiao rested a bit, didn’t call the maid in, and carried Du Yunluo to the bathing room.

The bathing room was also warmed by the underground fire dragon. Fortunately, Mu Lianxiao hadn’t opened the window earlier, so the water in the tub was still slightly warm. He simply wiped Du Yunluo, then carried her back to bed.

Mu Lianxiao lay down, pulled up the quilt, and the exhausted, half-asleep Du Yunluo snuggled up to him, nestling her whole body into his embrace.

Mu Lianxiao chuckled, holding Du Yunluo with one arm and tucking her loose hair behind her ear with the other.

His fingertip inadvertently brushed past the corner of Du Yunluo’s eye, feeling a hint of wetness; Mu Lianxiao was stunned—why was she crying? Was it uncomfortable holding her?

Soon, Mu Lianxiao heard Du Yunluo’s voice.

Burying her face in his chest, her voice was raspy as she said, "Princely Heir, I really missed you..."

Half of the dragon and phoenix candles had burned down, the wax flowing like tears, sliding down the red candle, solidifying on the candlestick.
