A Private Conversation [Part -2]

Moments earlier, he had secretly regarded Leon as nothing more than another arrogant young master relying on his background.

Now...

Even the owner of Whitelist Restaurant was personally receiving him with the utmost respect.

The waiter silently thanked the heavens.

Fortunately, Leon had shown no intention of arguing with him.

Otherwise...

He didn’t even dare imagine the consequences.

After watching Cavir respectfully escort Leon, the waiter couldn’t help wiping the cold sweat from his forehead.

Around the restaurant, quiet discussions immediately erupted.

"So that’s him..."

"The Purple Sword Monarch..."

"No wonder Owner Cavir personally came downstairs."

"I heard he destroyed countless experts from the Prison Holy Sect."

"They even say he has already stepped into the legendary Pinnacle Realm."

"Whether that’s true or not..."

"No ordinary cultivator deserves treatment like this."

Every table buzzed with restrained excitement.

Some looked at Leon with admiration.

Others with curiosity.

A few simply stared in disbelief.

Yet Leon paid no attention to any of them.

Praise...

Fear...

Rumors...

None of those things held much meaning to him anymore.

His gaze instead shifted toward the two young women standing quietly behind him.

Selena immediately met his eyes.

Her beautiful blue eyes were calm, carrying the trust she always placed in her Teacher.

Beside her, Rias tilted her head slightly, her crimson eyes filled with curiosity.

Leon smiled faintly.

"You girls can relax."

"I’m only discussing a few matters."

Selena nodded obediently.

"Yes, Teacher."

She didn’t ask another question.

Although curiosity lingered in her heart, she knew Leon would explain everything when the time was right.

Following him for so long had taught her one simple truth.

Teacher never acted without reason.

Rias also nodded.

"Understood, Teacher."

Her cheerful personality often tempted her to ask countless questions.

But this time...

She simply followed Leon in silence.

If Teacher wished to tell them something, he would.

If not...

Then waiting patiently was the best choice.

Watching the interaction between Leon and his two students, Cavir couldn’t help observing them more carefully.

The last time they had visited Whitelist Restaurant...

They had still possessed the youthful air of rising geniuses.

Now...

Both had changed considerably.

Selena’s movements had become graceful and composed.

Every step she took carried a quiet confidence that came only from repeated battles.

The faint Mana surrounding her body flowed smoothly, showing remarkable control.

She had clearly grown much stronger.

Rias had changed just as much.

The lively girl who once relied mostly on instinct now carried herself with noticeably greater discipline.

Her bright crimson eyes remained spirited, yet hidden beneath that cheerful expression was the calm composure of a true cultivator.

Cavir couldn’t help smiling inwardly.

As expected...

The students personally taught by Leon truly improve at an astonishing pace.

He respectfully extended one arm toward the staircase.

"Respected Leon."

"This way, please."

Leon just nodded his head. The four of them then slowly began to make their way towards the floor above, with no other words exchanged. The rich, wooden stairs then made a little groaning sound with each passing of their steps.

As the four made their way up, the vibrant sound of conversations in the restaurant below slowly faded further into silence.

The vibe of the place had instantly shifted. A subtle, yet inviting aroma of fine tea permeated the air softly. The walls of polished wooden hallway were gently illuminated by classy-looking lanterns that bathed it with a warm golden light. Lining the hallway were vintage nature paintings; each with stroke of elegant ink imbued with a millennium of stories.

All present exuded class.

It was silent. So quiet that, save for the gentle rustling of leaves that echoed through the air, it could be mistaken as isolated entirely from the raucous reality outside. As Leon, Selena and Rias passed by several attendants stationed on either side of the hallway, they immediately bowed their heads respectively as to greet them.

"Greetings, Owner."

Cavir gave a light nod as he continued to walk with a focused gaze directed on his honored guests, not sparing to stop. And he continued to guide them until the hallway reached its very end, where there two ornately sculpted wooden doors beneath the sign.

Cavir stopped in front of them and gently opened the doors without reservation.

The two large doors swung inwards to reveal a grand private lounge. Sunlight illuminated its interiors through large windows that opened up to the view of the busy city of Ashford. A cool breeze flowed gently through the open room bearing a faint, sweet scent of the flowers blooming in the courtyard of their restaurant. The room contained plain-simple furniture.

But even those tables, chairs, or any piece of adornments were obviously made by highly skilled artisan(s).

None were overly flamboyant.

Nothing felt lacking.

The room possessed a quiet elegance that immediately put visitors at ease.

Leon stepped inside first.

He calmly took a seat beside the window as though he were visiting an old friend rather than conducting important business.

Selena and Rias naturally stood behind him, neither too close nor too distant.

Their expressions remained respectful, though completely relaxed.

Seeing this, Cavir personally walked to a nearby tea table.

Rather than calling a servant, he prepared the tea himself.

He carefully measured the fragrant tea leaves before pouring steaming water into the elegant porcelain pot.

Within moments, the refreshing aroma of spiritual tea spread throughout the room.

One by one, he poured a cup for Leon, Selena, and Rias.

Only after ensuring everything had been arranged properly did Cavir finally take his own seat opposite Leon.

For several quiet moments...

No one spoke.

The silence wasn’t uncomfortable.

Instead, it carried the calm composure of experienced cultivators who understood that important conversations never needed to be rushed.

Cavir finally broke the silence with a gentle smile.

"Respected Leon..."

"You specifically requested to meet me."

"I imagine this isn’t merely a casual visit."

Leon picked up the teacup before him.

The steam curled gently upward as he took a slow sip.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"You’re right."

"I’ve come because there’s something I’d like to ask of Whitelist Restaurant."

The moment those words left his lips...

Cavir’s expression grew solemn.

His posture straightened unconsciously.

His complete attention focused on Leon.

Whatever Leon had personally come here to discuss...

The real conversation...

Was finally about to begin.
