As players spent more time exploring and expanded the scope of their activities, more and more factions came to light.

Among them, the two factions with the most available information—and the ones Yang Yi was most familiar with, were the Holy Radiance Church and the Fire Worship Cult.

The headquarters of the Holy Radiance Church was the Holy Capital, situated at the center of the Sea of Miracles. It was enclosed by towering walls and could only be accessed through the Gate of Radiance.

Some players had approached it and taken photographs. It was a colossal gate that seemed to pierce the heavens, gleaming with gold and adorned with magnificent carvings. Merely standing before it was enough to leave one breathless.

It did not look like something humans could have built, for there was no reason for humanity to construct a gate of such overwhelming size.

The gate remained slightly ajar at all times, leaving a narrow passage wide enough for ships to sail through, effectively serving as a checkpoint.

To this day, no player had managed to infiltrate the Holy Capital, and what lay beyond its walls remained a mystery.

At the same time, players were also searching for ways to advance into the transcendent realm, and joining religious organizations was considered one possible path. Because of this, players had even compiled guides explaining how to join various factions. The Grand Press later gathered this information and incorporated it into their faction intelligence reports.

Among all known organizations, the Holy Radiance Church was likely the easiest to join and also the most widespread throughout the Sea of Miracles.

The method was incredibly simple: pay money.

As long as someone entered a church and made a donation, they could register as a believer and receive a Blessed Statue of the Goddess of Radiance as proof of their identity.

However, most players had little faith in it. There was not even a corresponding system notification. It was nothing more than a cheaply made wooden carving that did not even possess arms.

Moreover, the statues purchased from different churches all had subtle differences, making it highly likely that they were handcrafted locally and sold solely for profit.

In short, the Holy Radiance Church was the kind of faction that was exceedingly easy to join, yet becoming a member felt almost the same as not joining at all.

As for how one could gain access to transcendent powers through the church, that remained unknown.

The other faction was the Fire Worship Cult.

At present, only one exceptionally daring player had successfully joined the cult, obtained the Book of Scorching (Part One), and learned the spells recorded within it.

The method of joining the Fire Worship Cult was direct and brutal: one had to endure five minutes beneath the scorching heat of burning firewood. Anyone who survived the ordeal could officially become a member.

Because the requirements were far too harsh, the cult had never possessed many followers. To expand their ranks, they frequently kidnapped people and forced their beliefs upon them.

That player had unfortunately been captured together with several natives, but he had been fortunate enough to survive. Bound to an iron rack and roasted like a suckling pig for five entire minutes, he ultimately managed to reveal this information.

No wonder the Fire Worship Cult has such a terrible reputation. So this is how they spread their faith, Yang Yi thought speechlessly as his gaze fell upon his title.

Like Yang Yi, he had been drifting through the Sea of Darkness all this time. Then, earlier that day, he had unexpectedly plunged straight into the Extreme Winter Sea Region.

Yang Yi browsed through several more threads. Although none were as valuable as Justice Knight's discovery, they still contained useful information about various monsters.

Feeling tempted, he began drafting a post.

Before long, he published a thread titled "The Dangers of the Homing Rat."

It contained photographs of Rat Thralls, images showing infected victims after parasitization, pictures of the Rat King's severed head, and related information.

These materials already existed. Suna's tablet still stored the photographs and videos Wei Qian had recorded during her human experiments.

However, not long after it was posted, the thread was locked by the moderators and became inaccessible.

The reason given was that its contents had the potential to cause severe mental contamination and would need to undergo review before being released to the public.
