Chapter 808: Black Passenger Plane
Inside the first-class cabin.
Of the eight people in their seats, only three were asleep.
The rest, including Jiang Ran, hadn’t slept at all and had all heard that broadcast.
At first, everyone assumed the announcement was from a flight attendant on the plane—maybe something about a notification or such.
But listening to those three sentences, it didn’t seem like that at all.
In any case, the other first-class passengers who heard the broadcast paid it no mind. Only Jiang Ran had cold sweat beading on his forehead.
Captain Tom’s voice came through the broadcast again: “You must be very curious why I’m calling you lucky ones. Well, it’s because you’re about to play a game. The people who were supposed to play this game were on another plane—I originally chose that one. But for some reason, that plane got delayed for takeoff, and by several hours at that.”
Captain Tom seemed to be a multilingual genius, because everything she said was repeated three times. The first was in German, the second in English, and the third in Chinese.
Clearly, she wanted everyone on the plane to understand her words.
After all, it was a flight from Germany to Hua Country, so German and Chinese were necessary, along with the most widely spoken language—English.
When Jiang Ran heard Captain Tom’s words, his scalp exploded with shock. It felt like Pop Rocks were crazily detonating across his head.
So... so this was why the Danger Warning System only triggered its alert over an hour after takeoff.
Just as he had guessed.
Suddenly, he breathed a sigh of relief. The reason was simple—at least the plane hadn’t malfunctioned or encountered some terrible weather that would lead to a fiery crash.
Just playing a game—no problem.
At that moment, Captain Tom continued:
“I’m not a fan of wasting words, so let me tell you right now what game the people on this plane are going to play.”
“I’ve named this game—Black Passenger Plane.”
“The rules are also very, very simple.”
“Right now, on this plane, we have first class, business class, and economy class.”
“Next, I want you all to kill each other. In first class, only two people can survive in the end. In business class, only six people can survive in the end.”
“As for economy class, only twenty people can survive in the end.”
“There’s a time limit for the game. Two hours before the plane lands, if any cabin doesn’t meet its quota, we’ll manually eliminate everyone in that cabin.”
“Alright, everyone, let me check the time. Hmm... there are twelve hours left before the final two hours of this flight. Please determine your final survivors within the next twelve hours.”
That beautiful voice ended there.
After it stopped.
The three cabins each had different reactions.
Many people were scoffing at the broadcast, thinking some lunatic had hijacked the plane’s intercom and was spouting nonsense.
A game? Survivors?
What a joke, right!
First class was no exception.
A man in his thirties, stylishly dressed, who was from Hua Country and sitting in first class, was shouting for a flight attendant, clearly wanting to ask what the hell was going on with the plane’s broadcast.
If he didn’t get a reasonable explanation, he was definitely going to file a serious complaint after landing.
Jiang Ran was also waiting for the flight attendant to arrive.
But when the flight attendant actually showed up, everyone in first class—not just Jiang Ran—was stunned.
They saw the door to the compartment at the front of first class open.
Two figures walked out slowly.
The familiar dark blue uniforms, on every woman wearing them, outlined figures that sparked endless imagination.
These were two flight attendants in their uniforms.
But different from usual, they wore masks on their faces that hid their features.
And those masks—they were masks of Tom and Jerry characters.
Except, not the most familiar Tom and Jerry.
Instead, they were masks of other characters from the Tom and Jerry cartoon.
For example, one of them wore the bulldog—Spike.
The other wore the black stray cat—Butch.
On top of that, each of these two flight attendants held a black submachine gun in both hands.
After they came out, they stood guard in front of the compartment door. The eyes behind their masks seemed to radiate an endless deterrent force, intimidating everyone in first class into momentary silence.
Then, the stylishly dressed man in his thirties from Hua Country stood up from his seat.
He raised his right hand, pointing at the two flight attendants from afar.
Somewhat angrily, he said: “What kind of getup is this?! I don’t want to play any game with you. You’d better get back to normal and stop pulling these tricks! Otherwise, when I get off this plane, you’ll be in for it!!!”
That Hua Country man in his thirties had an aggressive demeanor and tone, but the two gun-toting flight attendants remained completely unmoved.
The other first-class passengers expected that this Hua Country man would charge forward to yell and curse.
But to their surprise, he didn’t go forward. Seeing the two flight attendants ignore him, he just sat back down in his seat.
It seemed this Hua Country man wasn’t the kind of rich fool who lacked brains. He was probably scared of the guns in their hands.
What if he went over and they just unloaded on him? He didn’t dare gamble.
Just then, the first-class passengers heard a series of noises. Of course, the noise wasn’t very loud, and they couldn’t make out what it was—they just knew it must be coming from the cabins behind, probably the farthest one, economy class.
About ten minutes later, another flight attendant came in through the door at the back. She was also wearing a mask of a Tom and Jerry character—this time, an orange cat mask.
This flight attendant had a submachine gun slung across her back, and in both hands, she pulled a small four-wheeled cart. As she entered, she brought with her a thick smell of blood.
Everyone in first class turned to look at her and the cart, and then they saw what was inside—a dead man. There was blood at the corners of his mouth, and his white shirt was stained with it.
Seeing this, everyone in first class couldn’t help but widen their eyes.
Captain Tom’s voice came over the broadcast again.
“Everyone, whether you’re in first class, business class, or economy class, you should have all seen it, right? The corpse I showed you—this person was an economy class passenger, but the kind who didn’t follow the rules, unruly and arrogant. He actually tried to provoke and assault our beautiful flight attendants who were keeping order.”
“This is his fate. So please, everyone behave and don’t get any bad ideas about our flight attendants.”
“Also, I want to remind you all: if our game time runs out, and your three cabins haven’t determined the passengers who should survive, then whichever cabin fails—everyone in that cabin dies. Get moving!”
