Great Novelist

10 Billion Truth (1)

“Great interview today. You're a good talker. ”

The journalist asked for a handshake. He clapped his hands. It's been a long time, so I'm a little tired. I wish I was so kind when I asked you the question. I thought I had picked the wrong person for an old interview in Korea. There's not a lot of things you don't say. I wondered if that's why.

“Congratulations again on your Honor. ”

It was boring to hear for months. He told me that he would be in the next issue right after the interview.

“It's just a personal question. ”

“Yes.”

The staff moves swiftly behind his back. He looked only at himself, not caring at all.

“Did you know this was going to happen? ”

“You asked me that officially. ”

He said the same thing during the interview.

“I was wondering if you'd answer informally. Is that a no? ”

He also said something clever.

“It was just an accident. ”

His face became blurred.

“Are you kidding me? ”

He shrugs. When he got up from his seat, he moved along as well.

“Can I go now? ”

“Yes, I'll take you outside. ”

The office was on the sixth floor. On his way down the elevator, he wanted information on the Hochtam.

“How was the writer of Kings? Was he really a natural? ”

“That wasn't my first impression. ”

“Really?"

“He was just a good fit for where he stood. ”

He saw the number diminishing with his eyes. I didn't know his mouth would stop.

“What a shame about the double crown. ”

“You couldn't have ridden it anyway. ”

“No way. It's the language of God. ”

He seemed to know everything. He shakes his head.

“You had the coins. ”

“For once, I think it's a coincidence that you're number one. ”

There is no evidence of a cannula. He knew what he was saying. He habitually gave up on the objection and said.

“I don't know what to do with you looking at me like that. ”

“More like me. Interviewing the writer is skywriting. You came to Korea and didn't say anything for a while. ”

“I was a little busy. ”

“Oh, is this it? ”

He wrote a poem. He said, avoiding his eyes.

“It's a secret.”

“It's just the two of us. ”

“I can't stand being alone with the journalist. ”

He smiles softly. The elevator arrived on the first floor and the door opened.

“I hope to see you again soon. ”

“Be gentle then. ”

I left the building. It was still hot after my mouth. I got a cab and got off in the neighborhood. He walked slowly, covering the sun with his hat.

“I like the house. ”

It was peaceful. I came to Korea a few days after receiving the Ennula Award. I saw Coin at the awards ceremony beyond the screen. He eventually won an award, went onstage and took the blame intensely. On the spot, a big round of applause followed, and he stepped out of the chair. That was his choice. He checked the empty mailbox and went inside.

“Familiar silhouette. ”

You mutter as you walk down a straight corridor. There is someone who has come without an appointment. He was staring right at me. Slowly approaches.

“Too late.”

An uncomfortable voice. He asked with a vain laugh.

“What are you doing here? ”

He raises something long in front of you. It is a threatening behavior.

“That's a tie. ”

He looked at the metal trophy without a word.

“I see.”

This is one-on-one. It's a tie. He's gone inside. The coin follows boldly. He first threw the trophy on the couch and went into the room. He touched the trophy and asked.

“So did you bring this to Korea to show it? ”

“Conclusive.”

He left his trophy on the table and went into the kitchen.

“I'm going to eat. Do you want some? ”

“What?”

The coin shakes its head at the red soup in the pot. He stirred the boiling kimchi stew once and took it to the dining table. I didn't forget to get him a hamburger to eat. The coin frowns and looks at it.

“It's pretty grumpy.”

“Delicious.”

“I think I'm gonna puke blood if I eat it. ”

“It's gonna be spicy in Coin's mouth. ”

He smiled and picked up one of the fries in front of him. When you are abroad and come in, you will also remember the food that you are used to. Recently, I have only eaten Korean food. Coin says the Korean way doesn't suit you.

“Then why don't you do it yourself? ”

“Not that much. ”

He took a big soup and cooked pork and put it in his mouth. It goes well with white rice.

“You ate well without complaining about our food? ”

He swallowed and said.

“There's no food to hide. And it was delicious.”

The coin nods roughly and bites the burger loudly. And I drink coffee instead of coke. Coins unravel what happened at the Hugo Awards Ceremony one by one.

“It was noisy back then. ”

“I was prepared.”

Coin looks at the peaceful face of Australia and says:

“You didn't think this would happen. ”

There was no guarantee that the young writer's choice would be praised. Accidentally, everything was decided. A month later, an incident happened. At that moment, the coin couldn't help but disappear.

“Please take this with you. ”

He saw an elongated trophy standing in the middle of the table. If the result is a tie, I think it was not a bad choice.

“It's funny how people change their attitudes. ”

The gaze of negatively looking at the choice of coincidence changed the boundaries of the event. He shrugs.

“I knew I didn't know. It can change. ”

“Who doesn't know that? I wouldn't feel this way if it were a personal poet. It's gross because I put it all together in the press. You look sly.”

He recalled the reaction he had first heard. Everyone around you has dried up. The double crown is in front of you. What are you afraid of after winning a battle with coins? Because of the nature of God's language, you will prevail over the popularity. Where the hell is the reason for not going here?

“I thought you were the first to fall. ”

At the words of the coin, Lord Ahjussi smiled.

“Are you disappointed that you're not? ”

“Of course I do. ”

He kicked his tongue as if he really thought so. He picked up his phone.

“Don't be so sad. This is what happened. ”

“Huh?"

The coin frowns upon the screen.

“What's it say? ”

“Coincidence is said to be arrogant. ”

“That's true. ”

“It also says you have star sickness. ”

“Aha, that's a site. ”

I was familiar with coins too. The site rose to the surface just after the coincidence of rejecting the prize. People who hated coincidence took a chance.

“They changed their strategy. At first, he said he hired a ghost writer, not a scribe. ”

“Oh-ho.”

Coin looks at the site for a long time and starts touching her phone. He continued to eat diligently. I remembered a conversation with Nam-Kyung.

“Hello?"

On that day, he asked me again with his usual voice. He speaks out of turn as he discusses a silly story.

“Did you go online? ”

“Why?”

“No, don't worry about it. Don't search your name. ”

He said peacefully.

“I've already seen it. ”

Nam-Kyung reacted violently. He was worried about everything.

“I'm fine. I wrote when I was in a frenzy. ”

“And then make the living room floor manuscript a sea of water? ”

“When is that?" ”

Im Hyun also read the author's article. That was a different kind of talk. But Nam-Kyung was determined. He told Coin that he was looking at his phone.

“Do you want to go for a walk? I know a way without people. ”

The coin raises its head and looks at him. The hamburger remains a remnant. He gets up from his seat with the rest of his coffee in his mouth.

“Coincidence made the wrong choice. ”

Blue skies and tree shade, quiet surroundings and the sound of seagulls coming from afar. Coin is raising its voice. He looked at his face imagining the eyes of coins covered in sunglasses. He was holding his cell phone in a rather grumpy manner.

“Coincidence is arrogant. His personality is questionable. Fucking genius. All of his courage comes from his early gains. ”

“What are you reading? ”

He asked Coin, which was foaming up South Korea's efforts. He replied.

“Read the feces. ”

He saw a dog without an owner passing by. The dog was wandering around. I can see the Han River in front of me. There was only him and himself and a dog nearby.

“You'll probably notice a lot more soon. ”

“Poop?”

“Yes."

“Why?”

He said with sunglasses around his nose.

“You were so clean. ”

He looks him in the eye.

“Is that a compliment? ”

“You were too thorough. Not better than me, but better than me. There are some people who hate you as much as there are so many stars in the world. For the first time, some of them were active. ”

There were a lot of people who wanted to battle Kelly Coin and coincidence. I did something I disliked. He saw stains on his white clothes. I don't know where it was buried or what stain it was. I was sure it was just a stain that wouldn't have caught my eye if it was just black.

“That's just the way it is. If a seven-year-old commits a murder, the world turns upside down. ”

“The metaphor is too harsh. ”

Dog rolls. He asked small.

“Would you have been better off if you had lived a dirty life? ”

“Do you poop to avoid poop? ”

“Forests are the best way to hide trees. ”

“Can't you tell the difference between a garbage dump and a forest? ”

I shrugged without a word. I didn't mean it. Coin also knew. The dog snores on the ground. You look around and hide behind the tree.

“Did he poop? ”

“I guess so. ”

Coins fill your tongue.

“Why is it so shitty? It's hot. Let's go inside. ”

He nervously tucks his phone into his pocket and raises himself up. He followed him.

*

“Hey, isn't this really upsetting? ”

In the welfare classroom, the wish of a middle school student spoke to him who was over two years old sitting next to him. He lowers his reading and turns his head.

“What?”

“Accidentally. ”

Hope picked up her phone and read the most prominent words.

“Coincidence is arrogant. His personality is questionable. Fucking genius. All of his courage comes from his early gains. When did you say you saw a coincidence? ”

The book shakes slightly as he laughs.

“I see.”

The hope looked at him reluctantly, trying to end his sentence with a short answer. I turned around and lowered my voice. Inside, there was an unmissable excitement.

“We saw an accident. Right?"
