Maisie

I tried to close my legs, but his hand was already between them. And I choked on a cough when two fingers pressed firmly against my clit through the thin fabric.

I bit my lip hard.

From the corner of my eye, I saw a girl two rows ahead glance back at us. Her eyes lingered a second too long on where Quinlan’s arm disappeared under the desk. She quickly looked away, flustered.

My face burned.

Quinlan leaned in slightly, his lips brushing my ear as he whispered, "You’re dripping all over my fingers, cherie. If I keep this up, you’re going to come right here in the middle of class. Is that what you want?"

I clenched my thighs around his wrist, trying to stop him, but he only pressed harder.

"Quinlan—" I hissed under my breath.

"Shh." His fingers slipped beneath my panties and sank into me without warning. I had to bite down on my knuckle to keep from moaning. "Be good and stay quiet. Wouldn’t want Professor Halven to notice how desperate you are, non?"

I was shaking. My free hand gripped the edge of the desk so hard my knuckles turned white.

Quinlan’s fingers moved slowly inside me, curling just right, while his thumb kept circling my clit lazily while he paid utmost attention to Halven like the perfect, model student.

I was soaked, embarrassingly so, and every slow thrust of his fingers made a wet, obscene sound that felt deafening to my ears, even if I knew it was all in my head.

I was trying so hard to stay still. To stay quiet. But my thighs were trembling, and I kept clenching around his fingers without meaning to.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Regina turn her head slightly. Her nostrils flared. Then her eyes widened. She looked at me, then at Quinlan’s arm disappearing under the desk, and her mouth fell open in stunned disbelief.

Jenny, sitting by her side, was slower to catch on. But when she did, her face turned bright red. She stared straight ahead at the professor like her life depended on it, but I could see the way her ears had gone pink.

Juliette, who was sitting two rows ahead, glanced back once. Her eyes met mine. She took one look at my flushed face and the way I was gripping the edge of the desk, and her expression shifted into something close to laughter.

They all knew.

And then there were the Lycans who had been glaring at Quinlan since he showed up to class with me.

Bastian was sitting near the back with Kisten and Ryder. I felt his gaze before I saw it. When I risked a glance, his grey eyes were locked on me, cold and furious. His jaw was tight, and even from across the room, I could see the way his fingers were digging into the edge of his desk.

Kisten looked worse.

His massive frame was rigid, blue eyes burning with something violent. His lip curled slightly, like he could smell exactly what Quinlan was doing to me. A low, dangerous growl rumbled from his chest, quiet but loud enough that a few students nearby shifted uncomfortably in their seats.

Ryder looked tense. His hands were clenched into fists on top of the desk.

And then there was Cole.

He was sitting not too far off from Ryder, and though Lana was in his lap, his green eyes were locked on me and they were as hateful as ever. He looked like he wanted to stand up and rip Quinlan’s arm off.

I guess that answered the question of if he was over me yet.

As if feeling the intensity of their hatred, Quinlan tilted his head in their direction, his mouth curving into a dark smile.

And then, he winked at them in the same moment he scissored his fingers inside me.

The gasp climbed up my throat and I clamped my lips shut, but I was sure they all heard it because Kisten’s chair scraped against the floor.

I quickly looked away, shame and arousal twisting violently in my gut.

Professor Halven was still talking, completely oblivious, but the tension in the room was thick enough to choke on.

Quinlan leaned in, his lips brushing my ear.

"Everyone can smell you, May," he whispered, voice dark with satisfaction. "Especially them." His fingers curled inside me, hitting that spot that made my vision blur. "Look at Kisten. He looks like he wants to kill me. And the mutt..." He let out a soft, cruel laugh. "Poor bastard looks like he’s about to cry."

I bit down hard on my bottom lip to keep from moaning.

Quinlan’s voice dropped even lower.

"Should I make you come right here? In front of all of them? Let them watch you fall apart on my fingers like the needy little thing you are?"

My hand shot out and grabbed his wrist under the desk, stopping him.

"Quinn," I whispered, voice trembling. "Please."

He finally looked at me properly.

His ice-blue eyes were nearly black with lust and something far more possessive. For a second, I thought he was going to ignore me and keep going until I came right there in the middle of the lecture.

Instead, he slowly pulled his fingers out of me.

Then he stood up and dragged me out of my seat.

Professor Halven stopped mid-sentence with a frown. "Mr. Chastain, this is highly—"

"It’s urgent," Quinlan cut him off, tugging me along with him and I nearly stumbled on my heels, trying to keep up with him.

Before the professor could argue, he was already guiding me toward the door.

The entire class watched us leave in stunned silence.

I didn’t dare look back at Regina, Jenny, or Juliette. I didn’t dare look at anyone else. But I could feel their eyes on me the entire way out. Especially Bastian’s, Ryder’s and Kisten’s.

The second the door closed behind us, Quinlan pulled me up the stairs to the higher floors of the Academy. The sentries lowered their heads in a bow that he ignored, and he didn’t stop walking until the heavy door to the roof access slammed shut behind us.
