Li Wei glanced back.

Although he couldn’t make out Minos’s figure, he could sense that Minos wasn’t dead.

Li Wei felt a pang of regret. ’What a perfect opportunity, and I still couldn’t kill Minos.’

’Next time, I probably won’t get another chance.’

’Now that Minos has seen my Big Sun Nuclear Explosion Technique, he’ll never give me another opportunity to use it.’

Li Wei turned back and patted Saint Xi’s back.

"Let’s go. We need to find the Holy Dragon Inheritance."

Saint Xi let out a draconic roar, bursting through the clouds and soaring into the heavens.

Li Wei and Saint Xi began their journey to find the Holy Dragon Inheritance.

Following the guidance in her bloodline, Saint Xi sped off in a specific direction.

The Giant Dragon’s silhouette streaked across the sky, causing the Magic Beasts on the ground below to scatter in a panic.

Even the former tyrants of the sky dove to the ground, burying their heads in the dirt, terrified of attracting the passing Giant Dragon’s attention.

Wherever Li Wei and Saint Xi passed, not a single Magic Beast could be seen.

They flew onward, crossing a vast distance.

Li Wei spotted a city wall on the horizon, stretching for dozens of miles.

Saint Xi began to slow down.

"Li Wei, I can feel it. The Holy Dragon Inheritance is just ahead."

Li Wei looked down, his eyes narrowing slightly as he made out the inhabitants of the city below.

"Is this... a city of Beastmen?"

’A Beastman city this massive... it must be the Imperial Capital of the Beast Race Empire.’

’Why would the Holy Dragon Inheritance be here?’

Li Wei patted Saint Xi’s back. "Don’t do anything rash. Let’s go down and take a look first."

The Imperial Capital of the Beastman Empire was certainly not a place the two of them could just barge into.

Although the Beastman Empire had been defeated by the Human Empire and driven into the desolate lands of the Northern Territory, the Beastman Empire remained incredibly powerful.

Not even the Human Empire at its peak had been able to completely wipe them out.

The Beastman Empire had no shortage of supreme masters capable of contending with the top experts of the Human Race.

If they rushed recklessly into the Beastman Imperial Capital and provoked one of the Beastman Race’s top experts, even Li Wei and Saint Xi might not be able to win a fight.

Li Wei and Saint Xi disguised themselves as Beastmen to slip into the Beastman Imperial Capital.

For Li Wei, who had mastered the Illusion Technique, this was quite easy.

Unless they ran into a Legendary-Level Beastman expert, the chances of being exposed were slim.

Li Wei and Saint Xi calmly blended into the crowd and headed for the main gate of the Beastman Imperial Capital.

Due to the differences between the various races, the Beastman populace varied wildly in height and build.

Li Wei transformed himself into a member of the Werewolf Race, whose build was similar to a human’s.

Saint Xi transformed into a member of the smaller-statured Rabbit Race.

The two of them got in line behind a burly member of the Ape Race who stood over two meters tall.

"You two, get out of the way. Don’t block the path."

A hulking Pigman Race Warrior, all blubber and brawn, nearly three meters tall and over two meters wide, stomped over and bellowed.

The Ape Race member in front of Li Wei heard the voice from behind and glanced back.

He immediately stepped aside, not daring to block the way.

Among the Beastman Race, the strong are revered; they have no concept of etiquette like "first come, first served."

The strong are entitled to special privileges.

The Pigman Warrior saw that the little rabbit before him hadn’t moved.

He snorted coldly, shoved his way past, and deliberately threw a kick at Saint Xi, trying to send her flying.

But Saint Xi wasn’t about to put up with that.

With a flick of her hand, she unleashed a tremendous Power that the Pigman Warrior was completely unable to withstand.

WHOOSH! BAM!

The Pigman Warrior landed hard on his butt.

He grunted and snorted, drawing jeers and laughter from the surrounding Beastmen.

It was certainly a surprising sight.

A seemingly weak member of the Rabbit Race had casually toppled a burly Pigman Warrior.

The Pigman Warrior scrambled to his feet and glared at Saint Xi. "Argh! Damn you, are you trying to get yourself killed?"

Li Wei quickly stepped forward to play peacemaker.

"Don’t be angry, don’t be angry. It was just an accident. You lost your footing and fell..."

The Pigman Warrior stared at Li Wei, his eyes bulging like copper bells.

"A stinking Werewolf like you has no right to speak! Get lost."

Li Wei sighed in exasperation.

He didn’t want to cause trouble or attract attention.

However, that didn’t mean he would endlessly tolerate a fool who kept pushing his luck.

’This guy is digging his own grave. He can’t blame me for what happens next.’

Just as Li Wei was about to make his move...

...a guard at the gate shot them a harsh look and barked, "If you’ve got a problem, take it somewhere else! Don’t block the entrance!"

Berated by the guard, the Pigman Warrior didn’t dare say a word in protest.

He shot a glare at Li Wei and Saint Xi, then muttered loudly, "Follow me if you’ve got the guts."

With that, he turned and stomped toward an empty plot of land nearby.

After a few steps, he glanced back.

The Werewolf and the rabbit hadn’t followed him at all; they had simply ignored him and were already walking through the city gate.

The guard gave Li Wei’s and Saint Xi’s identities a cursory check, and after confirming there were no issues, waved them through.

Of course, the guard couldn’t have found any problems.

The identities Li Wei and Saint Xi were using were both verifiable.

They hadn’t just fabricated identities out of thin air. On their way, they had run into a group of Beastmen and simply appropriated two identities that would suit their needs.

Putting away the Beast Tokens that served as their identification, Li Wei and Saint Xi walked into the Imperial Capital.

A Werewolf and a member of the Rabbit Race walking together was an odd sight.

However, the Imperial Capital was home to all kinds of Beastmen, so it wasn’t that unusual.

It was perfectly normal to even see good friends from two races that were natural enemies.

The Beastman Imperial Capital prided itself on embracing all kinds.

As they walked down the street, Saint Xi tugged on Li Wei’s sleeve and pointed to a nearby corner. "What are they doing over there?"
