Yasmin went out on patrol, and by pure coincidence, he ended up running into the absurd scene of Carolina desperately running away from a gigantic rabbit.

"...Should I help her?" Yasmin murmured to herself.

It was weird seeing another human in the forest, and she could be an acquaintance of her master.

Still, the woman was clearly in big trouble; Yasmin was not confident she could take on a pack of gigantic rabbits.

And she remembered Shin’s words. "If you see any monster that looks even a little dangerous, call me immediately. Don’t try to handle it alone."

Yasmin would not go against Shin’s orders, so she decided not to help out. The girl also considered flying back to report everything immediately, but another thought soon replaced it.

She wanted to know if Yasmin would die or be able to escape. There was not much point in simply reporting she had seen a woman. So by watching her, she could get more useful information to tell her master once she went back.

The invisible succubus decided to remain an observer. And, below her, the chase somehow became even more ridiculous.

Carolina leaped over a fallen tree... Only for one of the rabbits to smash straight through the trunk instead of going around it.

Then a second rabbit lunged at her; however, an instant before the rabbit jumped to kill her, she slipped on a loose rock.

The accidental fall made her clearly hurt her ankle, but also caused her to ’dodge’ the rabbit’s attack. And the monster flew clean over her head.

"Fuck!" Ignoring the pain in her ankle, she got up again and continued to run desperately, following her instincts.

Yasmin was sure that there was no way Carolina would survive, but still she somehow was able to avoid death again and again by pure luck.

Moments later, she ducked beneath a low branch. The rabbits charged after her... Only for the branch to snap backward like a giant whip, smacking three of them directly in the face.

Then another rabbit nearly reached her. Its enormous jaws snapped shut and it almost bit half of her body off, but it ended up biting on her backpack instead.

The old straps finally gave out.

The rabbit tumbled backward with the backpack in its mouth while Carolina kept running, too terrified to realize what had happened.

Three full seconds later she looked behind her.

"...MY LOOT!"

Without hesitation, she turned around, dove toward the backpack, ripped it away from the thoroughly confused rabbit, and resumed running before the monster could even react.

Yasmin blinked in shock, "Is she clinically insane or something? Why did she go back?"

She wasn’t sure whether the woman was incredibly brave or catastrophically stupid. But anyway, the chase continued for several more minutes.

Then disaster finally struck. Carolina’s foot landed on loose gravel.

"Oh, come on...."

She lost her balance and began rolling downhill, her poor clothes getting completely torn. But it got worse, as the inclination became steeper.

She bounced off rocks, spun through bushes, crashed through small trees, and became an uncontrollable human boulder as she tumbled down an impossibly steep mountainside.

The rabbits immediately chased after her.

"This is it," Yasmin whispered. "There’s no way she survives this."

Carolina shot off a rocky ledge, and for one brief moment she was suspended high in the air. Then gravity reclaimed her, and even as she was in free fall, the girl held up her backpack.

Then... A gigantic mushroom, easily twenty meters across, stood directly beneath her.

BOOOOONG!

The enormous cap bent under the impact before launching Carolina back into the air like a spring.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"

She ricocheted onto a second mushroom.

BOING!

Then a third.

BOOOONG!

Then she crashed into a massive bed of glowing moss that somehow absorbed the rest of the impact.

Carolina slowly raised a shaky thumb into the air. And quickly she checked to make sure she had her backpack and her items with her.

Then the dark-skinned woman slowly got up to try continuing her run, just to immediately collapse face-first.

Her body was obviously at her limit; she could barely stand. Still, the girl forced her battered body up and began walking.

Just then she paid attention to where she had landed. Before her stood an enormous palace unlike anything she’d ever seen.

Its white walls shimmered with faint rainbow colors beneath the moonlight, while towering crystal pillars supported elegant balconies wrapped in flowering vines.

Strange glowing plants covered the gardens, their petals opening and closing as though they were breathing.

The entire place looked ancient...

Yet perfectly preserved.

Surrounding the palace were countless gigantic flowers, each taller than a person. Their petals glowed with soft shades of blue, purple, and gold, bathing the valley in an ethereal light.

"Jackpot..." Carolina whispered, her eyes glimmering, as her skill made her realize the flowers were extremely valuable.

Unfortunately... the rabbits had finally caught up.

"Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!"

She sprinted into the palace gardens, and several enormous flowers blocked her path. And, without thinking, she swung her weapon, trying to cut the flowers.

Her blade struck the thick, calloused stalks of the giant flowers, but it barely left a scratch. The plants were incredibly tough.

Instead, her attack disturbed the flowers, causing them to release a dense cloud of pollen into the air.

As soon as the flowers began releasing their pollen, the rabbits turned away and quickly fled in fear. Seeing this, Carolina just smiled; she had survived another night.

Not just that... she grinned, looking at the palace she had found. She had finally found an actual home to stay in, or at least something similar to that.

Yes, her skill told her that the palace had an extremely dangerous aura. But it also told her it was filled with riches and valuable things.

"If only I had one of those magical storage rings..." she thought, remembering Shin.

All she had was her backpack, which was a magical item she had found. It had much more storage room than it looked like, but it was nothing compared to a storage ring.

"That was crazy..." Yasmin murmured, floating away as she went to report everything to Shin.
