Hakai no Miko

Lesson 3: The First Corner - Finance

"Who is the most accomplished minister?

Later in life, some say to Soma Kisaki, the son of destruction, that he made this inquiry.

In contrast, Soma answered this without getting her hair in between.

"It's nothing more than Michena Erbazizo"

The royal ministers in line say that they have tipped their necks uniformly.

Indeed, Michena is a subordinate who can be described as an ancient ginseng since Soma flagged in the city of Bornis. But because he wasn't the kind of person to say this and make a big feat of it.

To those court ministers, went on and Soma said:

"In a normal time without battle, no one can do better than her. And once the battle begins, no one can achieve merit without her. She will be the greatest meritor."

As one of the court ministers who was on the spot, he says that no one disagreed with it.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

In later years, there are people who become known as the Triangle of the Son of Destruction.

A horn is something that grows on your head. For this reason, horns are considered symbols of wisdom and authority. None of them, perceived as that horn, are men who participated in the hegemony of the Son of Destruction, Soma Kisaki, not by force, but by wisdom, knowledge, etc.

The first of those three horns to follow Soma was a woman by the name of Michena Elbasizo, known as the "Secretary of Ice Blood".

She says she was brought to life as the daughter of a junior official of the city of Bornis.

Her father died suddenly of an epidemic disease at an early age. Her house, which had lost the family's earner, was extremely troubled, but fortunately the family managed to connect the meals with the little money her father had accumulated and the reading, writing and arithmetic that Michena had been taught by her father.

It was also fortunate that a friend of his father, who was the same junior official in the city of Bornis at the time, pitied him and hired her as a downworker.

And there she appears to have manifested herself a vertigo and a headache.

Examining only a few remaining materials of the time, I can see numerous important documents by her handwriting.

At the time, in the midst of the low status of women, she must have been so highly bought that she was entrusted with so many important jobs.

Also, her identity when Soma occupied Bornis was that of an intermediate official.

Backward shields of nobility were needed at the time to promote him to intermediate rank. Without such a back shield, I would have had to work for at least 20 years to go from junior to intermediate.

The fact that she was able to become an intermediate official before the age of twenty without any back shield would be more than proof of her extraordinary talent.

He also deserved that extraordinary talent and seemed to be an ambitious man.

Multiplied by the chaos of the city of Bornis, which had not long been dominated by the son of Destruction, Soma Kisaki, she was trapped one after the other by the officials who were her superiors. Thus, having banished from the city no one but a blind superior, she worshipped Soma Kisaki, the son of intent and destruction.

"I am the highest official in the city."

Thomas Kisaki, son of destruction, said he welcomed Michena, who was named after him, not by trapping his superiors, but by raising his hands.

"Kind, its sexual roots. This child of destruction will buy you high."

Thus, she was Michena, who had earned the seat of the apex of the official, but no matter how much of a conspirator she was, at best she was just a human being. Soma Xaki, son of evil destruction, was better at one or two.

With that terrible magic, Soma says, what a grasp of Michena's intestines alive.

"Oh. My bowels were taken away by the Son of Destruction! I can no longer resist that one!

That's right, Michena, too, had to swear absolute obedience to Soma.

Thus, when she was to serve Soma, she laid the foundations of a bureaucracy that supported the later hegemony of the Son of Destruction in shadow when she gave the junior officials gold and took it in.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Michena's raised bare voice echoed in the chief treasurer's office.

"Yeah! Am I going to have a new lord?!"

On this day, Michena, who served as usual, was suddenly summoned to lead treasurer, a superior officer. Michena was anxious to know if she had done something to reprimand her, but the chief treasurer told her to go with the lord.

"Are you even dissatisfied?

The lead treasurer sees Michena with guillotine and sinister eyes.

In this day and age, it is not permissible to disprove orders from superiors. Not to mention the low status of women.

But no matter how much, I can't wait to be suddenly made lord.

"So, so, but I have a heavy load! It's too heavy!

Michena pleaded desperately.

But it doesn't go to the lead treasurer.

"If you ask, the kings of the beasts seem to be able to read and write. Yet they want to know the city's finances, so they want people to lend it to them."

The lead treasurer said with blatant disdain.

In this age, reading, writing and calculation are special skills that can only be used by a very small number of human beings, such as aristocrats and merchants. As a leading treasurer with such special skills in his current role, a person who could not read or write could simply pinch his or her mouth in the finances under his or her control.

"Anyway, when I'm the ruler of the city, I just want to get in. The unschooled guy who lives with the beast can't stop because this is it. You don't need us to devote precious time to him? Wouldn't it? That's why I want you to do it."

But that's not the only intention the lead treasurer chose Michena for.

He had looked down on the Ethereal Horse as a savage, unschooled man, but at the same time feared he was a merciless ruler capable of following the ferocious Zoan and others.

It is important if a man who has come to such a man has done so even in the end. Whatever that man is, I can't wait for the fire powder to come down on me.

So the chief treasurer came up with doing the woman.

If a woman makes amends with her body, she will not be annoyed. Instead, I was even wondering if you would be in a better mood for the new lord.

But the question is, who will you give to the human being?

The conditions put forth by the new Lords are people who can read, write and calculate and know the city's finances.

However, in this era of low status of women, very few women were able to read and write calculations. Also, most of these women are in the family, or have quite a place in the city, which is not something that can be given to them personally.

So it was this Michena where the white feather arrow stood.

I work as a financial officer, so naturally, I can read and write calculations, and I have access to the city's financial situation. Besides, even if it becomes a problem later because she is also a civilian daughter, you can cut her off at that time. The face is full of ten, but the new lord will be fine because he is a pervert like Samurai (Habe) who brings beasts like Zoan close to him.

For the lead treasurer, Michena was a user-friendly throwaway stone.

All of that was unreadable, but Michena desperately resists when she senses the lead treasurer trying to use herself for good.

"But I'm just a financier. You are not in a position to just meet the Lords in person!

A financier is a junior official in charge of finance.

The State of Holmea, a feudal state, refers to those who have been granted territory (enclosure) by the King as feudal lords. This feudal lord is one who has been granted autonomy in the Territory by the King, such as the right to collect taxes and to administer justice.

But in this era, when good martial arts were still the condition of the lord, the lord was not necessarily an excellent exchanger. Rather, such an excellent lord of martial arts would have weighed even more heavily on martial arts and looked down on the gold account as that of a lowly merchant.

If such lords are entrusted with the management of the territory, it is not far away that the finances become bankrupt. So it was necessary to actually manage and operate the territory on behalf of such a lord.

These are the officials in charge of administration.

This official is the generic name of an official.

First of all, officials called senior officials are appointed by kings, just like lords. In addition, it is intermediate government officials who are recruited locally by their lords and officials. And a man called a junior official is nothing but a parsley beneath him.

If we replace this with modern style, the king is the president, the lord is the branch manager entrusted with the branch, the official is the manager of that branch, the employee is a regular employee, and the clerk is a part-time worker.

If you think that just a part-time job was suddenly promoted (just) by a secretary dedicated to a branch manager one day, you can understand Michena's upset.

"Oh, you did"

Even though the lead treasurer finally showed his understanding, Michena leaked a ho and a sigh of relief.

"Yes, it is! So to others..."

But try to put it over that Michena word, the lead treasurer said.

"Well, let's promote you to Treasurer."

"Huh?"

"So you're the treasurer."

"Hey, wait a minute!

"It's unusual to be an intermediate official at that young age, even if you're happy, minus being a woman. Salaries are now higher. Are you complaining?

That is more compulsory than confirmation to Michena.

Michena dropped her shoulder disappointed when she realized it was no longer useless to say anything.

The chief treasurer sees Michena like that satisfactorily.

"Then go to the Lord's office immediately. But don't lose your mood."

Speaking of resigning from the room, the lead treasurer, with some recollection of his face, spoke on Michena's back as she tried to leave the room nagging.

"I forgot to tell you something important. He explained the paperwork I put together."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"Why, I..."

Michena was spilling her stupidity as she walked down the aisle with a bunch of massive paperwork she took out of the library.

Co-worker financiers, including his father's friends, are all good people. But the superiors, the finance officers, took Michena lightly, who was also a woman in addition to her low status, and have always been used to make it good for them.

The calculations and records that would otherwise have to be done by the CFOs are rough, and they can be pushed because they are troublesome.

I don't know how many times I've thought about quitting being a financier. But she has an old mother and three siblings to feed. I couldn't just throw out the job I got because of it.

"And anyway! We need to keep the new lord from getting angry..."

Rumor has it, he's a horrible person who suddenly threatens to snap his neck. If I'm in a bad mood, I might lose my neck at that moment.

Michena's feet weigh heavily with nature when she thinks of the sight of her neck dancing in the universe. Trying to drag such a heavy leg, I finally came to the front of the lord's office, and realized it.

"What shall we do..."

There are quite a few ways to worship you.

I know roughly what to do because my superiors have used me as a paperwork dwarf before when I worship my lord.

The problem, however, is the pile of paperwork in these hands. I can't help but say hello while I hold such a large package. That being said, imitations such as placing important documents on the floor around it were not acceptable.

If you are a financial officer, you can use a small luggage holder when you have such luggage. But all of a sudden Michena, who had just been promoted by a financier, brought her own paperwork.

Once she returns to the library and reduces her paperwork, or finds a spare dwarf, which would be quicker, Michena worries as she puts the lord's office ahead of her eyes and nose. That's why she didn't notice that one boy showed up, scratching the courtyard bush.

The boy tilts his neck small and then speaks to Michena, who is roaring, yeah, as he stops in the aisle.

"What's wrong?

"Ahhh?!"

Michena, who was immersed in her thoughts, marvels at the voice she was accidentally called upon to drop a bunch of paper she was holding at her feet in a rush. Michena hesitates even more as she rushes to pick up the paperwork and instead collapses to the paperwork that was left in her arms.

Besides, when the boy had one bitter laugh, he picked up and collected the paperwork on her behalf.

To the sight, Michena felt a sense of ready-made vision.

"You, before this..."

To Michena's words, the boy let his gaze wander into the universe for a while before grunting "Oh" small.

"That's the second time."

Michena smiled the same way when the boy smiled bitterly.

Then Michena sneaks up and steals a boy while he's with the boy and picks up the paperwork.

Still, who the hell is this boy?

Michena was so surprised.

It's been quite a while since I started serving in this Lordship's residence, but it was a face I've never seen before.

He picked up his own drop instead, which was just a clumsy financier, so he doesn't seem like a person of his stature. Besides, the outfit was not the gothic outfit of a person in his or her identity, but the same unadorned as the city's civilians.

But even assuming this is the Lords' residence. There's no way just civilians are there for no reason.

Thinking about it, is this boy a new apprentice?

Because Zoan occupied the city, a few of those who had previously worked for the Lords' residence had also fled the city. They're hiring new people to fill that vacancy, but he's probably one of those people.

So, Michena tried camouflaging.

"If you're not used to work, it's tough."

Say something vague so that you can delude yourself about anything later.

"Right. I don't even know what to do."

To the boy's answer, Michena was convinced that he was still a new apprentice.

But that keeps me alert. Because after I let the senior breeze blow because I'm an apprentice, and I can't even see it when it turns out that I was actually a descendant of the city's celebrities and facials.

Connect the conversation on the right topic and then chat even more.

"Wouldn't it have been easier to carry on your parents' family business?

Besides, the boy has eyes that look away somewhere.

"The house, the father and the mother, it's a long way from home..."

The boy's somber tone made Michena regret asking bad things.

Far away...

That must mean you must have lost your parents and your house!

That's not all. With a little snort, you can smell the faint beast odor from the boy's body. To the smell, at first I also wondered if he was an apprentice to the horse, but his clothes weren't dirty for that.

For that reason, Michena thought it might be because the boy who lost his parents lived like a vagrant for a while. Perhaps the odor stained my body didn't come off at that time.

Despite such a hard time, this boy is beginning to work as an apprentice in an effort to live well (keratsu) alone. Oh, what a pathetic boy!

"You had a tough time! But good luck! Don't hesitate to tell me!

Unexpectedly, in a shattered tone, the boy is confused by Michena, who does not moisten his eyes.

Michena, who regarded it as reluctant, was impressed with what an itchy boy.

At that time, Michena came up with a fuss.

Wouldn't it be a good study to use this boy as a dwarf?

Michena, who thought this was a good idea, suggests to the boy.

"Hey, you. I need a favor..."

"What?

"Can you help me take this paperwork?

When Michena pointed to the entrance to the lord's office, the boy nodded as he was somewhat convinced.

"Oh. You were listening. - Yeah, that's good."

Michena was surprised that the story of her promotion to treasurer was already so widespread. Put her down like that, the boy walks out with Stasta holding the paperwork.

"Hey, wait a minute!

In a hurry, Michena calls the boy to rest.

Apparently, this boy doesn't know how to behave standing as a dwarf. I need to teach you this properly. Mazui and Michena thought.

"Good? Well, I'll teach you, so remember, okay?

"Yeah. Nice to meet you."

The reply is good, but the boy doesn't seem to understand. Michena rushes to interrupt and raise her voice in front of the boy as she tries to get into the office.

"The treasurer... not the treasurer, Michena, is here by summons!

"Come in. Come in."

Because of this, he said that he was nervous and said he wanted to greet the boy who was behind him. In that comedy-like, exquisite hand, Michena inadvertently seems to crush her knee.

"Just shut up for a second! When I come in, I need permission from the people inside!

"Really?

"This could have been a failure to bring," Michena regretted to the boy who leaned his neck wonderfully, "but it was too late. If a woman's voice comes back from inside the office saying," Come in, "we can't just chase the boy back now.

Please, pray to God that the boy doesn't do anything stupid, and he starts walking into the office.

I have been brought into the Lord's office several times by the treasurers, but the sight in Michena's memory was a lot different.

First of all, when His Royal Highness King Vritas was there, there were liquor bottles, food plates, and sometimes whores and sex slaves on the big desk set in the back of the front, but now it's cleaned up properly. There are no shadows or shapes of them in the room.

Instead, there was one Zoan woman beside the desk with a beautiful hairy hair and a crisp, even limb with a Rin atmosphere that even Michena couldn't tell by surprise.

"I'm sorry, but Soma's not here right now - what, you said you were going out of your way to pick him up for something else"

The tone of the Zoan woman becomes somewhat familiar and soft along the way. Beside Michena, confused by what the hell, a voice rose to respond to it.

"No, I'm not. When I got back, there was just this guy."

A boy brought here as a paperwork dwarf, flat with Zoan in his mouth, but made a noise from Michena's face that drew his blood.

In this day and age, the low-status dwarf is treated as an accessory to the person who brought it - treated as an object. For this reason, the dwarf is not even questioned for fine courtesy, but it is just not acceptable to speak at will.

And the dwarf's faults become the faults of those who bring them.

Michena was stunned.

I'm sure this Zoan is a great man, too, because he's so much in the Lord's office. I didn't think I could just do that because I worked such disrespect for someone like that.

Oh, no more. I'm sure they'll rattle you with those nails!

Michena, whose worst development ran around the back of her brain in an instant, lost her hips and sat naked on the spot.

With such a Michena on his ass, the boy crosses the room without permission, plainly sitting in the office chair where only the lord can sit, if he has just placed a bunch of paperwork he had on a large desk set in the back.

It was the behavior of a boy who should be called outrage through such disrespect, but Zoan's woman didn't even try to blame him for it at all, and he stood behind the boy because of his fixed position.

Give me that much, and even Michena will think of who the boy is.

"Well, nice to see you again. - I'm Aoima Kizaki. For once, are you the lord of this city?

For some reason, what the boy told in questionable form had little in Michena's ear.

I'm no longer at the stage of being disrespectful or anything like that. He even reprimanded the new lord, the conqueror who led the vicious Zoan, with no salutation, and treated him as a dwarf and made him hold the paperwork.

No more of this. My neck! My neck is ripped off and exposed to the corner of the street!

Behind Michena's brain, I think clearly of the sight of my neck being exposed as if it were reality.

"Um? Are you listening? What if?

Michena was about to graduate as she heard the voice of the Ethereal Horse somewhere far away.
