Lesson 18: The Cave

The room was brimming with reports that a cave with signs of people lurking from the suspicious fire on the coast and its burning was found exactly at the arrow tip that was about to be searched.

"Soma! This is a little..."

Without having to be told by Shemr, Ethereal Horse's intuition complained that they had something to do with Marman's child abduction.

"Mr. Joash. I'd like to see that cave, please?

Besides, when Joash takes it on in a mundane reply, he handily arranges a carriage for travel with the guide. The Ethereal Horse, who soon boarded the prepared carriage with Joash, drove his horse to the coast.

According to the conductor, the fire broke out on the coast, which is also far from streets, fishing villages, etc., and is usually an unpopular place. But when the Ethereal Horses arrived on its coast, there were already many gathered there.

It is the fishermen who heard about the fire and the soldiers sent by the city who are controlling them from entering the scene.

Well, he was a pale horse worried about how we were going to let him see the scene, but that was a worry. The fishermen unfamiliar with Zoan cleared the way for me like the broken sea of the Prophet just as the Ethereal Horses approached. Zoog and others who cared better about it are making the fishermen even more frightened by waving their fang-stripped furious grins around them.

But that just didn't seem to work for soldiers either. Instead, he put up a spear in his hand and stood in front of the Ethereal Horses in a clear manner.

But as soon as Joash, who had walked in ahead of the Ethereal Horses, gave the name of the Shapiro Chamber of Commerce, the soldiers change their attitude. Lowering the tip of the spear, he smiled bitterly and lowered his hips, making it all the way down the road for the Ethereal Horses.

That's right, with the glory and admiration of the Shapiro Chamber of Commerce, which occupies the corner of the ten-member committee, the kina smelling air that was drifting around the nose of the Ethereal Horse that took the Zoans through among the soldiers blurs.

The fire is like a cave facing the sea. There was a cave entrance at its roots, which became a dead end from the road running along the coast by a small cliff that cut it out onto the rocky coast. Kina, the smelly air seems to be drifting from there.

Into the cave, the interior was surprisingly wide. It appears that the original cave was augmented by the hands of men from traces like shredded fleas left on the rock walls.

The entrance to the cave and the area in front of it show signs of intense burning. But whether it was quick to discover and extinguish the fire, or because of the intense burning in front of it, instead the air was blocked, acid deprived and the fire did not turn, the hay that was laid as a cushion on the floor of the cave remained unburned enough to go to the back. When you bring your nose closer to the darkened area like the wet of its hay, the smell of oil snorts along with the kina odor. That was proof that this fire was not caused by a fire or something, but by a fire that was put on with some intent.

"Hey, Soma. Come here."

The Ethereal Horse, called by Shemr, who had gone to the back of the cave earlier, takes his feet there.

The back of the cave was partitioned by a fence with thick trees in plaids and tied with rope. As he knocks through the fenced door, on the other side of it, Shemr is on one knee pointing to the ground.

"Look, there's water in there."

The ground at the end of Shemr's fingertips was dug into by a man's hand, and there was water there. When the Ethereal Horse stuck his hand in, the water was surprisingly deep. Put it on the water to your shoulder and your fingertips will finally reach the bottom.

When I pulled my hand out of the water, the Ethereal Horse noticed that something was tangled at its fingertips. When I lit up the light shooting in through the entrance, I found that was one long hair shining silver.

"No way, this isn't a water bath, is it?

Joking and Ethereal Horse says, Shemr makes his nose snap.

"Don't be stupid. This smells like sea water. I wouldn't bother to take a bath in the water of the sea."

It's good that I was excited about the ocean I first saw and played (deflected) with the waves, but later, because of the dry sea water, the hairs in my body betrayed me and I had a hard time, Shemr says with a real sense.

And the Ethereal Horse nodded.

"Right. - Probably keeping Marman's kids away for a while."

Otherwise, you can't bother digging deeper into the rocks than the sea level and creating a water field where seawater can stain out in this way.

"Hey, Soma. There's something weird here."

When the Ethereal Horse, voiced by Garam, who was looking elsewhere, went to him, he was handed something strange.

"... what is this?

It was a large cylindrical bag. The bag is sturdy made of several sheets of skin stacked and stitched together, the size of which is somewhat smaller than that of the body of the Ethereal Horse. This would allow a little kid to get in soooo far from his head.

As I touched the bag of skin, I touched something that felt hard on my fingers. If you make sure of that, apparently a sturdy iron ring is sandwiched and sewn between the skin and skin. There were many such iron rings in the bag, and the bag was like a snake belly.

The Ethereal Horse tries to put his hand in the bag. Then it was wet inside. Smell my wet hand and it smells like Iso.

Too big for a water bag. There's no way I'm keeping seawater in a bag that puts drinking water in it. Perhaps it's a bag that puts the Merman children in when carrying them.

"Looks like you've been in a lot of a hurry."

Shemr said as he looked around next to the pale horse making sure of the bag.

She's right, it's not just a bag of suspicious skin, but a wooden desk, chairs, and wooden vessels scattered over dead grass laid on the floor that hastily pulled this place away.

"Maybe it's because I crossed Merman's island."

The Ethereal Horse guessed so.

The Ethereal Horse, who had declared the abolition of slavery, came into contact with Marman, who had repeatedly complained that the children were being held in slavery. Between the two, it is not surprising that some discussion was thought to have resulted about the children of the exposed Merman.

"But it's not like we were found here either. Shouldn't we have tried to hide evidence more secretly before fleeing?

Shemr's questions are good too. It was yesterday today that the Ethereal Horse made contact with the Marmans. Even if Marman asked me to rescue the child, I can't possibly find this place right away. Yet it is too steep for anything to try to escape until so much evidence is obliterated.

He was a pale horse who thought he cared about something, but he flashed haha.

"Maybe it's Yang Dynasty!

It wasn't just for evidence obliteration that set fire to the cave. While we are distracting ourselves to the cave with this fire, aren't we trying to get Merman's children out of the city?

That's what I thought. The Ethereal Horse popped out of the cave.

"Hurry back to the city!

The Shemurs also rush to follow the Ethereal Horse.

The Ethereal Horses ran their horses as they jumped the distracted Jeboa soldiers onto the carriage on their asses.

When I finally returned to the city, after spending more than twice as much time as I had when I had come, Joash immediately went to speak to the gatekeeper at the main gate of the city.

He was a pale horse watching Joash's rear, speaking to the gatekeeper, from inside the carriage as he was jerked off by a rushing fire, but when he finished listening and Joash looked back here, he jumped out of the carriage impatiently.

"How was it, Mr. Joash?

Joash shakes his neck sideways with a bitter face, to a pale horse who moves in and inquires.

"It was too late. Earlier, Lord Judah's caravan left the city."

And the Ethereal Horse didn't think, "Damn!" and leak a curse.

I find myself annoyed by such a simple yang move that I've been caught in the middle of it. But I can't help but regret it here and now. Anyway, the Ethereal Horse, who changed her mind about having to move into action, hurried back to Menahem's mansion.

Track down the caravan, take other measures, and in any case, Judas, the 10-member commissioner, is the opponent. I must consult Menahem, the same ten members.

When the Ethereal Horse returned to the Mansion hoping to take over in a hurry, he was supposed to be busy Menahem, but he met me right away.

But Menahem becomes a sinister face when he is explained a series of circumstances by his son Joash.

The wind to the Shapiro Chamber of Commerce just makes it worse for the Ethereal Horse, who is cordial with himself, to charge Judas, the same ten-member commissioner, with the kidnapping of Marman. If the Ethereal Horse seizes Judah's caravan or forces him to inspect the cargo, it will not be about the wind.

He was a Menahem who recognized the great value to the Ethereal Horse, but that's why I'm not going to cooperate until I whisk my position in the Merchant Guild.

Joash speaks to his father, who wonders what's wrong.

"Father, suddenly, let's move on to the example."

To his son's words, Menahem opens his eyes haha small. Then I often thought about it, and then I nodded one thing.

"It would be good. - Joash, I'm here to forgive you."

Even if the actions of the Ethereal Horse were now viewed as problematic in the Merchant Guild, Menahem would be a pretext to claim and open up that both of his sons, Joash, had already severed their relationship.

It is a clear hand, but there is no such pretext.

"Father, I'm sorry I couldn't. I'll be back to pick you up later, but I'll have a couple of horses for now."

"It would be good. Don't hesitate to take it."

Suddenly, the Ethereal Horses were surprised by Menahem and Joash, who had cut off the edge of their parents and children.

Besides, Joash was just flat when he was supposed to be forgiven, demanded a farewell, and Menahem would be happy with it. The Ethereal Horses get confused about how to react.

Joash scolds such pale horses.

"What are you staring at? Come on, we're going after Lord Judah's caravan."

Say no, no, Joash jumped out of the room. The Ethereal Horses will follow, so that they may be caught in the momentum.

However, just plugged into the exit of the room, the Ethereal Horse, who returned to me, rushed back to Menahem.

"Excuse me, Mr. Menahem. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Menahem smiled wide and showed to the pale horse, who bowed his head to discipline and apologized.

"Damn, it's a good annoyance. Next time I see you, you'll have to teach me how to make something 'asai'."

To Menahem's joke, the Ethereal Horse also smiles back.

"Okay. Besides, I'll show you how to make pudding!

"I don't know what the pretense is, but I look forward to it"

Menahem dropped me off, and now it's time for the Ethereal Horse to pop out of the room.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Luxury mansion in Holmeia, the capital of the Holmeer country.

In the back room of the mansion was a man with tiny burnt brown short hair who grew a dark jaw beard on his face.

Even though the sun is still high during the day, the man has made many slave women fall apart and drink in an upbeat mood. Occasionally, when reaching for the breasts of half-naked female slaves, she made a face that was fat.

This man is the master of this mansion and the Pyremon of the slave traders of the royal palace.

So one of the maids who worked under the Pyremon came in with a single letter.

"Sir. We have received a letter from Jeboa's" Fisherman. "

He was a Pyremon who received a letter to annoy him, but when he glanced at the letter, he blushed. And when he waved away the slave women, he commanded his deputy to bring him water of drunken awakening.

"What good is there to reward you for?

When the deputy who handed the cooled fruit water to Pyremon in well water asks, the disgust also reveals that Pyremon throws up.

"I hear the head of Bornis' slave is coming to the city of Jeboa"

The head of Bornis' slave - i.e., the Ethereal Horse. The letter was sent out by Judah when the Ethereal Horses came to Jeboa.

"He wants to refrain from winning 'fish' for a while, but in some cases, he wants to ship ahead of schedule."

Pyremon, who snorted as small as he made a fool of himself, burned the letter down with the fire of a nearby candlestick. With a snarling grin on the Pyremon, who was finely crushed by trampling the ashes of the letter in mind, Says the Hand.

"Judah's guy is too careful."

All I'm saying is that a dumb guy with a merman smuggled in his ruling city who doesn't even know it as dew visited Jeboa. That would be too much ahead of anything you want to refrain from trading because of.

Pyremon laughs at the modesty she thought so.

"Sure, Judah, he's a piece of business genius. But there's only one thing I'm buying him."

To the deputy asking what it would be, Pyremon said.

"Cowardice."

Pyremon leaks a cuckoo laugh so he can't reveal himself.

"That guy, if he thinks he sucks at all, quickly turns his ass around. You're a coward. But that kind of cowardice is also important to keep this kind of crappy business going. I could do it without finding out until now. But it's not always okay next time. Human beings are creatures who forget to stick around."

Is that what it is, Pyremon says in a face that he is just good at saying that an excellent analogy has come to mind in a modern age that he is not likely to be very convinced of.

"Even beating is right. I'm more scared after a big win than I keep losing. That's all I was winning, so I think I'm gonna be okay next time. But only that kind of guy, the next morning, he's floating cold in the river."

Pyremon starts laughing at Guerraggera with his belly in his arms about how much he liked his analogy.

However, the moderator managed best to attract the frightened face to the form of a grin.

Because it was the usual means of Pyremon to draw commercial enemies and rich cadets into the casino, let them win big at first, and later pull the whole deal. I just know a bunch of people who have ever been in this hand and have lost their necks or been sold off as slaves for every family, my money was nothing very funny.

"But sometimes, if you're going to do business, there are bridges that you have to cross even if you know they suck. He doesn't have the guts to cross it. So as a merchant, it's downstairs."

After saying so, Pyremon lifted his hips.

"If the fright in the letter is good, Merman's slave will be delivered shortly from Judah. Arrange a ship to the Empire early."

"Will it be delivered safely this time?

Pyremon's words that it's not necessarily okay next time, says the handmaiden, who has become anxious at first sight.

Then, Pyremon laughed nitarily.

"You'll be fine for a while. I can't believe I'm hiding it in such a place that even the eyes of a bird god can see it."
