Hakai no Miko

Episode 41: King Romanian

When King Dordea, who laid down his hips on the provisional throne prepared in the tent, waved gently, "Let's begin," Gordia, the Romanian first prince, who was serving in the Seoul, moved forward.

"No need to thank His Majesty! It is not gratitude that Your Majesty is asking for, but an opinion that is not abominable!

Even though Gordia proclaims so highly as a prince, his age was already close to fifty.

He is a prince who has achieved quite a bit in internal affairs as an assistant to his father king, but he lacks military talent. Still, as the first heir to the throne, I have served in Seoul West to wear foil (haku), but I cannot deny how out of place it feels. I couldn't deny the impression that the armor I was wearing right now was somewhere, and I even found it hilarious.

It is the discourse of the palace sparrows that King Dordea still does not give way, and partly because this prince does not rely.

"Daraios. Start the military debate!

When Prince Gordia said in a slightly inverted voice, Darios, the Romanian general, the father of his rightful wife and his own guardian, moved forward.

It was Darius, who had white hairs crossed his head, and reached the realm of old age, where deep wrinkles began to carve on his face, but the giant, wearing its heavy armor but moving lightly, is a mass of muscles like a bamboo. If the Ethereal Horse had seen the figure, it would have been described as the "human version of Mr. Zug".

And above all, it is the left arm that is lost from its shoulder.

It was an injury to honor sustained during the Seoul more than thirty years before now. Darius, who suffered a great defeat before General Darius and was cut off from his arm as he struggled to become the retreating Romanian army's palace (Dengu), said, "This is good. I got lighter," he said, lying. And tying his shoulder to stop the bleeding, holding a spear in his right hand, putting his reins in his mouth and slashing him into a chasing Holmeer soldier is still a talking grass in Romania.

Also in the Holmeer country, its audacity was conveyed as a story of:

General Darius, impressed by the ambition of the fold of the retreat battle, when he retrieved the left arm of Darius left on the battlefield, washed it clean and then carefully wrapped it in a beautiful cloth from the central crossing of the continent and delivered it to the crate as a "drop of the brave".

Later, however, the crate was sent back to General Darius. Soon Darius was surprised to open the crate, thinking I'd bury him here.

My God, the sent arm was heavily armored and held a sword. And it was accompanied by a brief letter that said, "I am sorry to deprive you of your greatest merits mentioned in the battle ahead, so I will send you back," he said.

I let him hold my sword and return it as a sign of strong will that my arms have not been lost, but my will has not been lost. In addition to tens of thousands of Romanian soldiers, his boldness lies with the greatest feat of slashing off one of his arms against General Darius, who took over many famous generals.

Darius also gave a wide (and overwhelming) laugh to this, prophesying that "this one will necessarily show his head in Romanian". And the prophecy was centered, and Darius soon worshipped the great general.

Its grand general, Darius, showed with his fingers the map of the western region spread out on the table as the queens and generals watched.

"The biggest difficulty of Seoul West is how to cross this Rabian River!

The Holmeer and Romanian countries, known as the two males in the western region, but the national power itself is actually better won by Romanian.

Still, however, the reason why the Holmeer State could not be controlled was the Rabian River.

The Rabian River is the great river that separates the Holmeer and Romanian countries.

In modern times, dam construction has also reduced the amount of water, and many river maintenance works have moderated the flow, but in ancient times it was a difficult place for water to flow like rage through the curved river muscles of a beating serpent.

The banks of the river are many places where the earth is swept away by violently flowing water and cut apart like cliffs. That was remarkable on the part of Holmea, where there were only a limited number of places where ships could be boated even in an attempt to cross the river from Romania. In addition, if we try to cross anything other than where the safety of such crossings has been confirmed, the ship will be flushed to the rapids, and if we do poorly, it will fall to be torn through the bottom of the ship and sunk by the protruding rock.

For this reason, it was assumed that there were only roughly three paths to cross the Rabian River and enter Holmea.

"The original plan was to send in a large army with a fleet from this Rabbian crossing."

What Darius instructed was a crossing used for bilateral transactions in normal times. The area is also deep at the bottom of the river, with relatively calm river flows and access to large ships. It is also a good place to attack at once in a convoy of large numbers of soldiers.

However, the Holmeer side is also aware of that, so that the corresponding defense system is in place.

"But beyond that lies the Masarca Gate Fort. Needless to say, it's the base of the Black Wall."

The air in the tent sways deliberately in the name of the "black wall" that came out of the mouth of Daraios. Those who do not know the name of Holmea's strongest army, who have been forced to lick the bitter juice more than once before, are not here.

"There is some information that Warius moved the 'Black Wall' west for the rebel slave crusade without thinking later, but on the contrary there is information that the majority of the national army went into defense. Also, don't forget Fort Roylops!

Fort Roylops is a small fort that protrudes into the river like a cape beside the Rabbian crossing on the Holmea side.

The name Roylops, given to the fort, comes from the giant of throwing a great rock at those who travel the mountain. The fort, named after its stone-throwing giant, will be equipped with as many as ten large stone throwers, and if the Romanian army tries to attack across the river by boat, the stone throwers will descend like rain.

In fact, more than thirty years ago, when King Dordea tried to lead the great army into attack, much of the convoy has been sunk by this fort.

"It is impossible to take down the Masarca Gateway Fort while receiving stone throws from Roylops. Shouldn't this place be a story and go in from rap play?

One of the Horsemen raised the second path, sailing across the river from a little further north than here, and attacking into a land called Wrapley.

Wrapley is a land divided into several continents (su) by the river in an area where several tributaries meet the Rabian River. Once there was a small country for each of its continents, but now it has all been swallowed up by the Holmeer State, and it is only a land on one side of the border far from the road in Holmeer as well.

But the Romanian king, four generations before King Dordea, has a proven track record of successfully crossing the river into Wrapley based on the record of such a small country, hitting the Holmeer nation hard.

But the voice of denial quickly rises.

"I'm not talking! Fortresses are now built on every continent and ready for us too! Not to mention Rapley is a land divided into several continents. Then we cannot take advantage of the interests of our great army. Then the road through the Balgiborian country is still more realistic!

And the last third path is through the small country of Balgibor, which is further north (retroactive).

The State of Barzibor is a small mountainous country sandwiched between Holmea and Romania. It is a poor country with a rugged majority of the national territory, with no such products and no comparison with Romania.

But its rugged mountains become a natural factor, requiring a lot of time and effort to defeat them. Moreover, it was a country that had been abandoned by half of both countries because it could not be expected to have significant profits from attacking it in that way either.

"Isn't Balgibor the only one out of the question? Our purpose is not to knock down flying bats, but to kill lions."

Barzibor, a small country sandwiched by a large country, waves its tail at both the Holmeer and Romanian countries, often seeking rescue from the other if one country tries to attack it. Because of the strength of the small country, Holmea and Romanians despised Balgibor as a "bat."

"We still have to attack from the Rabbian crossing..."

"Are you going to waste your soldiers?!"

"Why don't you look for a new place to cross the river?

"Is that it now? It's kind of you to examine the river in front of Holmeer and tell him, 'I'm going to cross here.'"

"In order to secure the way for the upcoming invasion of Holmea, is it not also in your hands to control the Balgibor?

"If you block the exit on Holmeer's side of the narrow road, you'll be locked in Balgibor, where the army has little food. Are you going to starve the soldiers?

It became an incandescent military debate in which the Hordes and generals flourished to the point where it almost became a fight-out of a combination, but it is hard to conclude.

Everyone knew the easiest thing was to give up Seung-xi and leave the army.

But on this march King Dordea said "the last conscription west," prompting the arousal of the Horsemen and Gentlemen. It is not something I can say to King Dordea like that to leave the soldiers without achieving anything. Nor was he able to leave the soldiers in vain while they were out in battle, either as lords or generals.

However, this attempt by King Dordea to recruit western troops was premised on the attention of the Holmeer nation and on measures to direct the army towards a rebel slave crusade in the west. Because the premise has collapsed, it can't be so easy to think of a good way to just salvage it now.

King Dordea, who felt the contents of the military council begin to dignify, gently raises his hand and draws everyone's attention.

"O my lords and generals, whom I trust. Keep the discussion white, but let's give it a break."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

King Dordea, who came out of the tent with only a handful of nearby brothers and guards, left the army and extended his legs to the Rabbian River when he prepared the ride. And when he stood by the river, he turned away those who followed him, saying they wanted to think a little. Then King Dordea, who confirmed that there was no one around him, suddenly peeled his quack.

"After every slave gets on the diagram! And Robnas' incompetence! I'm ashamed of myself for truly taking such a guy's dedication!

Even then, cursing rumors pop up from the next to the next.

He didn't put it on the table, but King Dordea's anger was boiling back at the bottom of his belly.

At any rate, while keeping 50,000 pieces of gold at bay, he was stuck with an insulation letter that he would no longer obey this order. Besides, the man who names the Son of Destruction who did it, if you listen, is twenty years old. I hear he's a young man there. It is not impossible to be made so cocky by such a young creation that King Dordea, who boasts of the king of the great Romanian kingdom, should also be angry.

King Dordea, however, possessed such thoughts as to push them into his chest before his subordinates.

It was the experience of forcibly forcing Seung-xi out of his youth and losing a friend who had just suffered a great defeat or who was not exaggerating in calling him a friend of Mozambique (Bukyaku) that had made King Dordea learn to think.

King Dordea, who had finished cursing as one and had finally calmed down, once again saw the Holmeer country on the other shore.

"Whatever you do, you have to succeed this time..."

He was still King Dordea, who calms down the Holmeer country and burns his chest into the dream of the ancient (if not the) Great Reconstruction, but he just doesn't even think about his age. As I proclaimed to the Horsemen and Gentlemen, perhaps this will be the last of them.

So I wanted to make quite a feat of it, even if it didn't even go as far as Holmeer country peace. In addition, if you don't cite any results, it will be related to the King's voucher (Kokon), even if you have greatly outdone the "Last Seoul West" to the Horsemen and generals.

Even so, because of the head of the rebel slave, I am so angry that he can only hold hands while keeping the Holmeer country in front of him.

But what was reaching King Dordea wasn't all bad news.

The border town beyond the Masarca Gateway Fort is home to a large number of residents who were once more flexible (softly) with money. Those insiders had also reported that King Walius, who had been robbed of copper and had gone mad, had summoned a "black wall" for the rebel slave crusade. Besides, it's not all that, even the National Army, which was handed out to the border, says it's already on its way to the King's Capital.

Since then, however, city surveillance seems to have been stepped up, with reports from insiders lagging behind, unable to ascertain its veracity.

However, if it is true, it is a good opportunity to meet a thousand people.

No matter how robust the Masarca Gateway Fort and the Roylops fort with powerful stone throwers are, it is only if there are soldiers inside who can be called elites as well. Elephant soldiers are not enough to fear.

But King Dordea sees the opposite shore.

There was a fortress of Roylops on a cliff that protruded like a cape from across the shore from the Rabian River, where massive amounts of water flowed like a ravine. There are many flags flying over that fort, and you can see the spear of a soldier standing like a forest. From that sight, it seems very unlikely that the National Army was ordered to move because of the rebel slave crusade.

King Dordea remembers his unselfish anger, not caring about this one or anything else, but just something good to head for the West Rebellion Slave Crusade.

"Nevertheless, what an abominable fortress..."

King Dordea threw up with hatred.

Now you can see the birds winging over the saw-shaped arrow narrows (irregularities created by the archers to hide themselves) set on the chest wall of the fort (to come today). Such an idyllic Roylops fort, but once this one tries to push across the Rabian River with its fleet, it will really bring down boulders and fire kettles like rain.

The sight of a convoy once led by itself being beaten down by this fortress of Roylops is not to be forgotten.

King Dordea thought it would be refreshing if he could roast the fortress of Roylops for every bird playing with its wings.

Romanian has the phrase "lions hate and slap cats". I hate Holmeer country with lions as its royal flag. It's an adage that I hate even cats walking on the side of the road, but I hate the forts of Roylops. Birds that were thought to bake too much together would be a good nuisance.

It was King Dordea who dreamed of the sight of a burning fort, fuzzily uncomfortable.

King Dordea stares at the fortress of Roylops to find out what the discomfort is.

"... I see. You know what?"

King Dordea, in a long stretched white beard, hoists his corner of mouth and laughs. Then I speak to the shorthand who was distancing me.

"Who will summon the lords and generals to the rest of the tent? We're resuming the military debate!
