Hakai no Miko

Episode 125: Filial Son

"Your Highness. How have you been?

Demetria speaks out in surprise (a lot) to Piata, who doesn't want to move, even though the destination of the second-hand split path has become clear.

Piata, however, was comparing the destinations of each of the paths that were second-hand split unanswered. After a while, Piata raises her voice with her right hand.

"We're going to the right hand!

Demetria raised a voice of doubt in that Piata decree.

"Your Highness. Aren't you headed to Gatzen?

If you continue on the main road on your left, it is the city of Gatzen already conquered by the Romanian state. It should be a staging ground for food for the Romanian National Army by its brother Prince Gordia, who received the order of King Dordea.

Some in the city of Gatzen will have the heart to heal King Dordea's arrow wounds. There must also be a soft sleeping area where King Dordea can rest his body.

Though the arrows are off the steeple, it is best to head to the city of Gatzen, given the condition of King Dordea, whose consciousness remains confused.

Of course, that's about as much as Piata knew.

But Piata had one concern.

"Brother Gordia, it's your problem to be here."

Piata says after mumbling like she often chooses words.

"It's about the filial brother. If you look at a father in this condition, he will surely be kept by Gatsen."

His brother, Prince Gordia, was known within Romania as a filial son. One dissatisfaction with the old Father King, who is not strange to leave the throne and give way to himself, is enough to consult with the Father King in everything, and to rush to see where he would be if the Father King even slightly damaged his health.

However, in the eyes of his sister Piata, it also seemed that the actions of such a brother, Prince Gordia, were more rewarding to his father than filial piety.

But I can't help it.

Before the birth of the drowning Piata, King Dordea was a strict and uncompromising character, both as a king and as a father. Such King Dordea asked Gordia, born as his firstborn son, to possess the knowledge, abilities and character not to be ashamed of as a prince and as the next king.

King Dordea glanced at Gordia until he was all over the line or on one foot at a time. And he severely reprimanded Gordia if he thought it would undermine the character of the king, even if it was one of the slightest tricks.

Even if this is not Gordia, it will not be impossible to have to constantly question the complexion of the Father King.

It is not clear how disturbing it would be to bring a father king who is still unconscious to such a brother prince, Gordia. Even though it was a matter of contending for this moment, I could have thrown out the command of the army for the healing of my father king.

Piata, who is now acting independently of the main force as a special agent of General Daraios, will also have to come under the command of his brother Prince if he enters the city of Gatzen. Then all my father kings or even myself will be kept in the city of Gatzen.

Also, there were other reasons why Piata would avoid the city of Gatzen.

"And now the armies of the Son of Destruction will come upon us. The city of Gatzen is too difficult to cage"

It was only the other day that fell the city of Gatzen. The Romanian National Army, which has just entered, will also not have grasped out the fortifications to defend the city.

In addition, the city of Gatzen was not allowed to surrender as a show to the other cities to be attacked, and was forced to fall after a fierce siege. As a result, the city walls have been destroyed everywhere, and the gates have been completely destroyed. There will be occasional resentment against the Romanian National Army among the inhabitants of the city who have sacrificed so much.

In such a state of the city, I didn't think I could deal with the army of the Son of Destruction, which gained a lot of momentum, such as Cage Castle.

"Besides, we must hurry and consolidate the defenses of the Masarca Gateway Fort. If the Son of Destruction turns his hand first and the Masarca Gate Fort is dropped, the Romanian National Army will lose its way home."

To Piata's words, Demetria is breathtaking.

If that happens, it sucks.

Even if morale has fallen dramatically due to the loss of the King's capital offensive, he has managed to keep the army in shape because he has the idea of returning to his home country in unison. And yet, if it were to be something that would be cut off from exit and isolated within an enemy country, the army would undoubtedly collapse.

For the sake of the entire army of the Romanian National Army and for the safe return of the Father King to his country, we must go straight to the Masarca Gateway Fort.

Even if you think so, Piata's feelings are the condition of the Father King.

Piata speaks to a knight who rides King Dordea with a string tied to his body, whose consciousness is still uncertain.

"This is more detachable than the main street. I think the road will be rough, but Father, please."

"I'll take care of it, Your Highness. On this life, Your Majesty will be carried safely!

Piata gives one nod to a knight who, as the word suggests, makes him feel ready to die and answer.

"I left it to you. - But in case anything happens to your father, it's my decision to make. You have no blame. That's all I have to say."

After saying that, Piata summons a conductor.

"Tell your brother I took your father to the Masarca Gate Fort. And to His Excellency the Admiral."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"His Royal Highness said he took His Majesty directly to the Masarca Gateway Fort?

Hearing the circumstances from Piata's conductors, Daraios first raised a voice of doubt.

But it was only for a moment that I wondered what you were thinking of the forcible army with the severely wounded father king. Gordia's character, his stepson, was also known to Darius. Besides that, if we consider the situation in the city of Gatzen, I also think that Darius would be a secondary action, even if that is not the best.

The only problem is that it is Piata's arbitrary devotion.

If King Dordea dies by force, Piata's position will be a bad one. Worst of all, it could even bear the stigma of killing my father king.

But, aware of the danger, Piata would have chosen to let King Dordea escape into the safe zone and secure the exit of all Romanian troops.

Drawing Piata's will, Darius immediately commanded his servants to do the deed.

Its contents are that Piata should be rushed to the Masarca Gateway Fort to consolidate its protection. That was Darius's consideration that, in the unlikely event of the death of King Dordea, he could open his petition because of a military decree.

After dropping off a Hundred China Squad knight with that order to run back to Piata with his horse, Darios makes him do another order.

That's for Gordia in the city of Gatzen.

It is an instruction to withdraw from the city of Gatzen and head to the Masarca Gateway Fort after carrying only enough food and supplies to hold immediately, all the rest being burned down from city to city and killing all the inhabitants.

Daraios also didn't really think he could prevent and stop the army of the Son of Destruction coming after him on the half-destructed city walls, just like Piata did again. Even if it can be prevented, it is like saying to use it as a food attack in a city in the middle of enemy land.

This was a better place to cut it off than to stick to the city poorly.

But you can't leave the city intact for the child of destruction that comes later. If you're going to do it anyway, burn down supplies from city to city, and kill all the inhabitants you've captured as slaves, and make it so damaging that it's harder to rebuild them.

Darius doesn't like outrage on the battlefield, but it's a different story if it's a strategy. And if you do, it's the Darios stream that does it thoroughly.

And Darius sent forth his commander after he firmly commanded him to tell him that.

But here Darios had committed one failure.

But it would be cruel to blame it.

Because, even though it is now being pursued, the Romanian National Army has taken control of the area once we are on our way. It was unlikely that the conductor would be exposed to unforeseen circumstances in such a place. Also, in the midst of the defeat, he couldn't afford to send more than one commander, and only one commander.

That's how the conductor, who was running his horse to Gordia in the city of Gatsen on his own, frowned.

I felt like I was mixed in with a loud horseshoe roar that I could ride and swing a loud fan behind my back.

What the hell was that, and he turned around on the horse, but it didn't work. Suddenly, the shock of being thrust through his back and the pain of burning his chest from his back ran.

What the conductor saw on the brink of falling off the horse by chance was the tip of a wet spear with blood protruding from his chest.

Whoever spears and kills a conductor on a diseased horse from his back rises to the universe with momentum as it is. And flew to circle on it for a while to make sure the conductor was out of breath.

"We can't even go down there and pick up the spear..."

So spilled is the bird general Pipi Tot Gigi, who leads Harpuran.

He was on a reconnaissance flight ahead of the army of hunting Ethereal Horses, and found a conspicuous costume conductor who ran on his own. If he found someone who looked like a conductor, he was under orders from the Ethereal Horse to obstruct it as much as he could, so he slaughtered him with a spear from behind.

But the purpose has been achieved, but we have lost only one spear. That was a special spear built exclusively for Harpuran instead of cheap but bulky stone throwing during a long-range flight reconnaissance mission. It's a waste of time to throw it away. But I couldn't even go down to the ground to get it. Somehow there is no more powerless being down on earth than Harpuran.

It was Pipi who had been swirling over the sky for some time, but when he gave up his spear, he flew away towards the city of Gatzen to continue his reconnaissance mission.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Having heard the news from Piata's decree, Gordia first raised her voice of surprise.

"What? You think your father was injured and Piata took you backwards?

There had already been reports by another decree that the Romanian National Army had failed to attack the King's capital, Holmenia, by the Son of Destruction.

Immediately after that, however, it is now the reward of the wounding of King Dordea, the General. Besides, I don't know why because my sister princess, with her wounded father king, somehow dares to bypass the city of Gatzen where she is and go straight to the rear Masarca Gateway Fort.

Gordia was confused.

"Father - how is Your Majesty? Are wounds life-threatening?

Anyway, it was in the condition of the Father King that Gordia first asked the commanding soldier from Piata, who tried to grasp the situation.

"Fortunately, the arrows are off the steeple. Now, Your Majesty is old. I thought predictions were unacceptable."

"Oh well..."

Whether we should be happy that we didn't lose our lives or worried about a situation in which predictions were unacceptable, Gordia leaked half-way words.

One of the generals in such a Gordia advances.

"Your Highness. Your Majesty's condition is important, but first we must think about how we should act."

"Ugh, um. Yes, you did."

But the words don't last.

Gordia is the bearer of arms, which King Dordea also recognizes when it comes to internal affairs. That's why he built a supply line, also known as the Romanian National Army's lifeline, and entrusted it with the city of Gatsen, which also serves as a staging area.

But Gordia was only a man of government. I do not have the ability, knowledge, or experience of being a samurai to read the finesse of battle, identify and make decisions about battle stations, and I get stuck (cum) in judgment.

Sooner or later, the general mouths off again.

"Your Highness. If you fail to attack Wang Du, perhaps our army will leave the soldiers once. In that case, you will be pursued by the enemy. Worst case scenario, our defeating army could push our enemies here."

I would have thought of it right away, even when I was usually calm. But Gordia, who was standing on the brink of dramatic changes in the war situation and injuries to his father king, realizes that possibility for the first time since the general told him.

"That's not gonna happen! Restoration of the city walls and gates has not yet been completed. This can't be a cage castle."

It was a blood-changing Gordia, but of course both the general and the hundred were aware of that.

"Then send reinforcements to His Excellency the Grand General, who is probably in the throne, to stop the enemy and buy time. In the meantime, we'll be ready to abandon this place and retreat."

But Gordia is reluctant to make that suggestion.

"No. Renouncing this place means..."

If King Dordea had already died, Gordia would have had to make her own decision. But even though I was wounded, my father, the king, should still be alive. Then the word that I would entrust the city of Gatzen to my father king tied up Gordia.

Still, in search of his wish, Gordia turns to the commanding officer of the Baihua Squad, who had kept silent.

"Has your father given you any orders?

Evacuate the city immediately, but join Darius to intercept the enemy. My father asked me if I had any orders.

But besides, the conductor shakes his head to the side.

"Unfortunately, no. Your Majesty was badly wounded and your consciousness still appeared to be a confusion. Very, very unable to make such a decision."

Besides, Gordia turned out to be like a toddler abandoned by her parents.

"Your Highness, there is no other decision to be made here."

A glimmer of cold sweat swept through Gordia's face as he was forced to make a decision by the General.

Gordia also thinks it would be better to leave the city immediately. But what reminds me of when I try to mouth it is the face of the Father King, whom I saw as a boy. Gordia shuddered small when she thought of the face of the Father King, who vehemently reprimanded herself in a haunted form for failing to reach the given challenge.

"Perhaps His Excellency the Grand General is struggling as his Imperial Army. But there's no time to lose."

It was a word the general said with intent to blame, but Gordia ate on this.

"No, no. Wait. It's about my father-in-law. We've already stopped the enemy."

"It's..."

It would be hard to argue with a prince if he were given the name of that grand general and it was the one who spoke of it. Even though the general shut his mouth, Gordia says so quickly that he only gets my will.

"That's right. We must first know the state of the war. Immediately issue a scout and a preaching order. And my father-in-law would surely give me some instructions. If the father-in-law sends you a message, let him pass right before me. Look, I ordered you to do it."

To Gordia's order, the general turned a sinister face.

War is a creature whose moments and circumstances change. It is impossible to know all the movements. Sometimes I really have to make decisions based on my instincts based solely on the information in my hand.

But rarely.

Someone who's just smart and can't rely on intuition.

Goldia's prudence, which was an advantage in politics, had gone completely behind her back.

Should I buy this disheartening?

That's what I thought, General, but I'll think back soon.

General Daraios, who seems to be only rigorous, was also a person who could care less about the military. If that Dalaios general, it is not strange to consider Gordia unfamiliar with the battle and that he has already been issued a military order. In addition, the General will all retreat to the city of Gatzen. Then it won't be too late.

Yes, the general thought.

Thus the generals of the Gordian and Romanian countries kept waiting, now or now, for the decree of General Daraios or the arrival of the General himself.

Shortly afterwards, the city of Gatzen was pushed by Romanian marquises and soldiers of the National Army, who had been defeated from the King's capital, Holmenia.

But there was no sign of the key Dalios General or his decree in it, and only for a few moments did all the defeated soldiers push into the city, and then they interrupted it completely.

Only about two thousand had fled to the city of Gatzen at this time. But the Western army totalled over 20,000. I don't think all the remaining 10,000 generals have been taken over by the enemy. Not to mention that some of the unidentified generals include that Dalaios general. It was unthinkable to the Romanians that the army led by that great hero had been wiped out.

But the soldiers who come to defeat as a fact are interrupted and do not come as one preaching order.

What the hell happened was that Gordia kept waiting for Admiral Darius, sparked by the impatience of being seared (abrasive) by fire.

But it was not the Ethereal Cavalry led by General Daraios who showed up in the city of Gatzen a few days later than that.

An army of pitch-black flags with creepy tattoos in silver thread on their heads - i.e., a main unit led by Ethereal Horse arrived.
