Hakai no Miko

Episode 131: The Road to the Kingdom (After)

"Fantastic!"

In the royal palace of the State of Barzibor, King Cesar of Barzibor was speaking with admiration.

He was King Cesar, who was acting with the Romanian National Army, but was away from King Dordea and acting differently, making good reason just before the attack on the king's capital, Holmenia.

Of course, that was on the prediction that the Son of Destruction would call when the Romanian National Army tried to attack the King's capital. And the prediction was midway, and because of it, he was not even caught in the great rebellion of the Ethereal Horse, and thus he was slowly returning to his own palace.

"How wonderful! I didn't expect you to kick the rest of the ruse and make the majority of the Holmeer country our thing at once! What a feat! What a broken heart!

King Cesar was in a good mood when he said his ploy to bisect the western realm in the Romanian country with the Son of Destruction ended in failure.

Everything in this world is nothing but comedy.

Yes, it is true that for King Cesar, his unexpected events are rather the unfolding of a heartwarming tale.

And the joy of King Cesar. That's not all that stays.

"I see, I see. What an interesting man, the Son of Destruction!

What King Cesar sees with a leak of admiration is information about the son of destruction brought about by the spy organization Root of the Balgiborian State.

Until now, King Cesar had taken every hand in the matter of the Ethereal Horse to gather the information. But in the city of Bornis, chief woman Eladia was disappointingly solidifying the area around the Ethereal Horse, and the water was intrusive, and the "roots" of the subtle Balgibor could not grasp the threads that intruded.

However, the arrival of the Ethereal Horse on the battlefield from the Lordship's residence in Bornis, which had been fully prepared, allowed more detailed information than had previously been obtained to be brought to King Cesar.

King Cesar, who was looking through in an excited way at every one of them, says with his eyes shining when he takes one of them.

"Especially great is this!

What was written there was a report by Ethereal Horse describing the entire end of the great rebellion against the Romanian National Army. Of these, Cesar paid particular attention to the massacre in front of the King's capital.

"The child of destruction is also being hunted down, and his skin is finally about to peel off."

In the words of that king Cesar, a voice of doubt rises.

"Being cornered, is it?

Saying so was the "root" female interlocutor Delilah.

She seduced Vritas, the king's brother of the Holmeer kingdom, and manipulated him as King Cesar intended, but as soon as the Great Rebellion of the Ethereal Horse began, she fled from Vritas and changed from fancy dancer clothes to the clothes of a lady working for the royal palace to serve in the Balgiboree Royal Palace with nothing to eat.

King Cesar speaks to Delilah, who looks unconvinced.

"Yeah, but it's Delilah. Don't you think so?

In response to King Cesar's query, Delilah bowed her head and said respectfully, "In a shallow body, I just think so".

But many, even if not Delilah, will think so.

Though he possessed a vast Sorbiant plain, the Son of Destruction, who was only the lord of a bordering city, destroyed the "black wall" from the front, whose name was also known in the west. Not only did he keep the western part of the Holmeer country under control, but he opened the castle bloodless by spouting that former Grand Chancellor Pompius.

Exactly, instead of being cornered, let's call it a huge leap forward.

"No, he's been cornered."

King Cesar has a grin.

"A person's personality can be broadly divided into offensive and defensive personalities. And the Son of Destruction is undoubtedly the character of the Guardian."

Beginning with the Battle of Hognalea Hills, which burned down every mountain of enemy soldiers heard rumours, he deceived the fort with a few gestures, fell the city of Bornis, defeated even that General Darius, the "Bornis Showdown", and the battle on the Conte River, which devastated the "Black Wall".

All of which the Son of Destruction has come to his enemies since he has prepared a situation in which he can beat them. It can never be in the personality of trying to break things by force and momentum.

"I wonder how hard the status quo is in the character of a guardian"

Even though he was just the son of destruction, I don't think he had read through all the developments since the showdown in front of the Conte River. Even if I had anticipated as far as the city offense of L'Oma, I couldn't possibly have read through all of that from Prince Alexius' disappearance since then to the Romanian National Army's lappley, to the Carrileyan tournament.

If that is possible, it is no longer God's business.

But no matter how heterogeneous the Son of Destruction is, it is only a man's. If, then, the action after breaking down the "black wall" is, to put it well, ad hoc. Let's just say if we tell the entity, it's just a hit.

Then what I saw during this time when I couldn't prepare for anything should be close to the nature of the Son of Destruction.

King Cesar asks Delilah a question, remembering a little naiveté.

"Hey, Delilah. When was the first time you killed someone?

Delilah answers the unexpected question after a slight hesitation.

"There are six."

The other guy was an unknown man.

When Delilah, who was raised as a "root" inter as soon as she was born, turned six, a teacher between the two brought in a strange man from somewhere. And before the man tied up with rope and rolled to the ground, the teacher commanded Delilah to kill the man when he gave him a knife.

"How'd it go with killing people for the first time?

King Cesar asks a mean question laughing with Niyaniya. And Delilah answered honestly.

"I'm ashamed, I'm upset"

By then I have seen teachers and seniors kill people with their hands many times. He was also rigorously educated in training so that he could kill his enemies without hesitation.

But Delilah remembers that she was so upset when she actually killed people with her own hands.

"Then could not the people of the 'root' have been kind to you?

To Cesar's inquiry, Delilah nods "Your Will".

Teachers, usually as harsh as ghosts, consoled the upsetting Delilah only then, praised his skill and praised him for doing well.

"I take the lives of the same people as myself. No one is afraid of breaking the first contraindication. I don't want to be upset. Speak gently there. Praise 'good work' and 'great'. You must affirm to those who are frightened of their first sins that you are right. Give relief to those who are upset that you are not wrong."

King Cesar laughed and showed one end of his lips suspended.

"That way, people depend on the one who gave them that affirmation and relief."

Delilah speaks frankly, surprised at how the teachers behaved then, that was the intention.

"You're like a con artist."

And king Cesar said after laughing often.

"It's just a little crook called a crook who tricks people into putting their hardware away. But what tricks the crowd into taking the country is a great villain called a hero."

King Cesar stares at the report of the Son of Destruction, which he spreads on the table in front of him, as he leans forward without stirring the chair.

"But this guy is a hero, don't be too timid"

Heroes are those who have the power to usher in times.

Indeed, the Son of Destruction put an end to the history of the struggle for hegemony in the western realm by both the Holmeer and Romanian countries, allowing the curtain of a new era to open.

But I can't feel the revelation of the power of a hero there.

King Cesar deduces the essence of the Son of Destruction from the information he has learned.

"This guy smells like self-bias while pretending to be a fraternity. With selflessness in mind, it is selfishness itself that pursues. While I call battle a crime department, all I'm doing is building up that crime department. How many enemies did you slaughter while spitting gentle words? With benevolence, it is the tyrant itself that pushes through his ideals. But I can't feel this guy's own philosophy in that ideal"

King Cesar colors every piece of information he learns, and begins to paint behind his brain a figure of Soma Kisaki, the son of destruction he has yet to see.

"Cowardly, my best, greedy, selfish, small, with no philosophy whatsoever. i.e. -"

The paintbrush that was dancing behind King Cesar's brain stops perfectly.

The statue of the Son of Destruction depicted there...

"- Just people?

I get the denying thought of "such an idiot" in King Cesar's chest, but stronger than that, my intuition complained that the presumption was correct.

I admit I do have some military and tongue talent. But King Cesar's intuition complained that the essence of the Son of Destruction was never heroes or Jen Jun, etc.

"No way, is it just that people have made such a feat? Just because it's huge knowledge and heterogeneous thinking, is this how you do it?!"

To the words which he uttered, King Cesar was hacked.

"Heterogeneous...?

Why can this guy remain heterogeneous?

No matter how colorful the paint is, it will fade and disappear if you drop it in the ocean. Just like that, however heterogeneous it may be, it is something whose heterogeneity can only diminish and disappear.

It has already been five years since we began to hear the name of the Son of Destruction in this West End. And yet, why can it remain heterogeneous? How can you keep that heterogeneity?

"... well. You know what?"

How long has it been? Suddenly, when Delilah began to worry even though she was silent, a pompous and small voice leaked out of King Cesar's mouth.

"I see, I see. Is that so? That should be desperate. That should try to save the suburbs. And we should try to set up a country."

King Cesar's eyes stain with ever-blackening despair.

In its eyes is the scene of the past.

Stupid brother princes and sister princesses who lost their lives by poison.

A younger brother prince who cursed herself and harmed herself in front of her, and a younger sister princess who poisoned her.

And the heavy ministers who insulted themselves but died of being poisoned and extinguished for them.

King Cesar laughs.

Desperate for this world, I stopped being a person and became a snake.

Everyone turns away, to one small, pathetic snake crawling through the swamp. To a snake with a fierce venom that everyone fears.

But...

"Son of Destruction. You are not desperate for the world. No, you weren't even desperate. You've been living in this world."

King Cesar's words are monologues, not to make anyone hear them. For that reason, Delilah missed hearing what King Cesar had said to the last. But somehow Delilah felt very anxious.

It doesn't matter if it's such a delilah, King Cesar absurds his voice.

"Saviors of the Subhuman?! Saviors of the Slaves?! Liberators?! Reformers?!"

King Cesar shook his back against the back of the chair and laughed like crazy.

"It makes me laugh! Isn't this some kind of saboteur? What a slaughterer! You're a terrible tyrant!

Delilah was frightened by the way she looked.

From there, I have glimpses of intense emotions that I can't imagine from my usual master, who likes to share pleasure and decadence.

In front of the frightened Delilah, King Cesar smiles with a reptile smile.

"I don't know. I have to tell you this. how sweet the despair of this world tastes."

And again king Cesar began to laugh.
