Hakai no Miko

Episode 7: Strangulation Measures

Many of the officers of the Romanian National Army are second and third sons of nobility and younger brothers.

In aristocratic houses, the position is weak except for the eldest son. Houses, titles and territories, etc. are usually determined to be inherited by the eldest son. Because of this, the presence of younger brothers, which can also be a factor in dividing the territory, can be a troublemaker.

Still, even the second and third boys are better treated as substitutes, such as if their eldest son died in an accidental accident. But he's only a real troublemaker if he's also a younger brother than that. Also, if my eldest son was born with a second son or a third boy, he would be dropped by troublemakers very often.

For this reason, men other than the eldest in the house of nobility had no choice but to endure such cold meals, or else leave the house and stand on their own.

And that's how the men who left the house were set ahead.

Growing up somehow as noble children, they have no money or connections to become merchants. I don't have the skills to be an artisan either. I have no land or knowledge to be a peasant. Only martial arts have been remembered as the love of men of his own body and nobility. If that happens, the roads will be limited every second.

Namely, the Romanian National Army.

Initially he waves a sword, dreams of not being a hero on the battlefield with only one arm of a spear, and knocks on the door of the Romanian National Army's noble children, but soon faces a harsh reality.

That means I'm not a hero or anything, I'm just one of many others.

There are no dreams or anything on the battlefield, just harsh and painful realities. The skill of swords and spears, who were even secretly complacent, is noticed as something that does not leave the mediocre realm. And above all they are reminded of their own mediocrity and beaten before those who truly deserve to be called heroes.

And how long will I have to accept reality?

But some of them - especially the younger ones - were stifling their ambitions like a burning fire buried in ashes deep in their chests, "as long as there was a trigger, even me".

The seven young officers gathered in front of Lauzen's mansion, where Solon stays, were also such.

Their aim, of course, is the assassination of Solon.

What they set foot in this crime is, of course, their outrage at Solon, who betrayed the country.

But stronger than that was the ambition to raise a name here.

It is Aurelius, whose generals, called militants, breathe, "Give me that neck," but cannot be reached by the stern fate of Prince Gordia.

Give me that Aurelius neck and we'll be the ones at a jump.

There is such a prospect.

Regardless, Prince Gordia will be furious. But he is a fallen prince. If all the militant generals turn to their own defence, they will not be severely punished. On the contrary, he is a loyal man who took over a despicable man who had betrayed both the late king and the country, without regard for the severe punishment of the prince. A lot of people must praise it with a drink. So if it came to the attention of the generals and the mighty gods, their birth was not a dream.

They were young officers gathered in such sweet and sweet dreams.

When the seven young officers rammed the door of Lauzen's mansion, something and the mansion's servant turned up.

"Get out the vile traitor who's here!

That being said, the youth officers pushed their servants into the mansion without question. Young officers don't even listen to a sudden intruder who fears but appeals to his servants to leave desperately. On the contrary, it is the end of the clog that tells you to put out the solon.

It was Lauzen, the master of the mansion, who heard the noise there.

"What the hell is this noise?

Lauzen gave the same full grin as usual and spoke to the young officers who had broken into the mansion.

"Let the despicable traitor Aurelius out! If you take refuge, you will not forgive Lord Lauzen!

The youth officers intimidated him with their hands on the sword pattern as they now tried to pull the sword out of their sheath.

Then Lauzen says with a smile Nico.

"Yes, yes, I get it. Now let me show you to Lord Aurelius' room."

Speaking of which, Lausen herself stood first and walked out to the upstairs room where Solon was located.

Though I thought I was going to stop myself or resist, this is the response.

The youth officers get clapped out.

Drawing young officers half-hearted by unexpected developments, Lausen stood in front of the room where Solon stayed. And then, knocking on the door, he raises his voice relaxed.

"It's Aurelius. You're not my guest."

To this the youth officers panicked.

This is not the development they had imagined.

What they had in mind is:

First, push Lauzen over Aurelius into the mansion. Then kick through a tightly closed door and get into the room, where you capture the despicable traitor who resists. Afterwards, Aurelius's neck, who pokes his guilt into his voice and then begs for his life in disgrace, triumphs by putting it up high.

At least, it's not a development like putting a no in this way and then getting into a room.

"Wait, wait, wait! I'll be in in in a minute! Let's get out of there!

That said, one of the young officers who pushed Lauzen over raised his leg to kick through the door. Lauzen then stops with a relaxed voice.

"I want you to stop because the door is damaged. Besides, that door doesn't have a key."

Youth officers stop moving for a while with their feet pointlessly raised. Then when I lowered my legs with a slightly shy face, I said "excuse me" and opened the door.

I thought to myself that there would be no "excuse me" for the person I was about to raid, but it is a word that came out of my mouth following the flow of the field.

To mislead that embarrassment, he raised his courageous voice by pulling out his sword when he opened the door.

"Aurelius, the great sinner who betrayed his country and killed His Majesty! We will take the place of the country and the late king and do the logging...?

The brave voice disappeared into the butt stump.

Because the rooms were stuffed.

There's no place in the room for people to hide. Instead, the window opened wide, from which the rope was draped outside tied to the leg of the sleeping table placed in the room.

"Haven't you heard rumors of Lord Aurelius' condolences?

Rausen says with a bitter smile to the vague youth officers.

"Lord Aurelius is a great escape celebrity who was taking His Majesty King Dordea out of the royal palace without anyone noticing him, who was an unknown prince from under the strict protection and surveillance of the close guards. There is no such thing as escaping from this mansion if you are alone, even though you are old. When you made a scene, it was decided that you had escaped from this mansion for a long time."

To Lauzen's words, the youth officers panic when they finally figure out what's going on.

"Outside! Hurry up and get outside! Don't let the coward get away with this!

The young officers, who changed blood phases, jumped out of the mansion as Lauzen took a sigh out of his back saying, "Oh, boy.

"Find it! They're old! Not yet, we can't get away that far!

The youth officers became bloody eyed and searched for Solon.

Though he is in mourning, there is a king's capital with tens of thousands of people there. Several people were also seen walking at night. When he asks if he caught those people from one end and saw the suspicious old man, one of them says he saw a solon-like old man riding off to the royal palace in a loba.

"All of you cowards! You're going to escape to His Highness Gordia!

The royal palace houses the mansion of Gordia, a royal family. Gordia is a prince and the one who strictly forbade him to do harm to Aurelius. In this king's capital, Romarnia, the mansion of Gordia is the most secure safety zone. If we wanted to escape the assassination, it was only logical to escape there.

We found out where Solon was fleeing, but the youth officers were not sure if they were going to go after Solon.

It's been a long time since Solon escaped already. You will have arrived at the Mansion of Gordia at all times. If we go after Solon, naturally we're going to push him to Gordia's mansion.

Bloodthirsty youth officers, but hesitated to push him to the mansion of Gordia, the prince and first heir to the throne.

But it's already caused all this commotion. If we give up here, we'll just wait to be punished.

When the youth officers decided to do so, they boarded into the royal palace.

The youth officers, who obtained testimony from the Royal Palace Gatekeeper that Solon had passed through the gate with prior Gordian permission, moved further into the Gordian mansion as they thought it would have been.

When the youth officers who arrived at the Gordian mansion on the corner of the royal palace knocked on the door to beat the crap out of them anymore, they ate to the squire who came out to deal with it.

"I know a despicable traitor Aurelius has escaped in here! Hand him over immediately!

To this the squire turned to heaven.

The guards who are supposed to pack in the mansion drive these rude people back, but the bad between them is that there are no guards all night. Gordia wanted to go to mourning with her family alone tonight, so she was lowering her guard.

For this reason, the squire, who was set to stand on the arrow side of the young officers, caught fire and breathing, turned to his husband, Gordia, for help while turning his eyes black and white.

Coming quickly, Gordia asks the youth officers as she wrinkles between her eyebrows in surprise.

"Who are those people? What can I do for my mansion at such a late hour?

Instead of usually answering directly, the youth officers absurd their voices in a vain while butting in the heart at the appearance of Gordia, who is also not allowed to worship his face properly.

"I understand Aurelius escaped in here! How His Highness Gordia and His late Majesty have not only avenged each other, but also kept it secret! If Your Highness can't do it, let us snap Aurelius' neck! I need you to hand it over now!

The youth officers hung up. But besides, when Gordia wrinkles between her eyebrows, she turns back to the squire who refrains from sidelining her.

"If Aurelius had come, he would have told you to tell me immediately."

To Gordia's question, the samurai answers with her face blue.

"With all due respect, Your Highness. - But you haven't visited our house yet."

To the samurai's answer, Gordia wrinkled further between her eyebrows.

"Those guys. Sincerely, Aurelius escaped from Lord Lausen to our mansion?

"And I want you not to fall in love! The Gatekeeper of the Royal Palace claims that Aurelius passed through the gate with His Highness's permission! We know your Highness is hiding Aurelius!

Officers who insist that Gordia hides Solon and is in love with it. But that voice has no momentum until earlier. They were also beginning to realise faintly that Gordia was genuinely confused.

Gordia runs out with frustration.

"If that's what you're saying, you can search the house or whatever you want. But after you've known me as the prince of this country, I suppose? Still, if you can find Aurelius, then be prepared to receive the sleigh of a rebel with a blade against me, the prince!

Besides, the youth officers are frightened.

The outrage of pushing against the prince's mansion is also an act that many generals would defend if only Solon's neck had been taken.

But it makes no sense if neither that nor the neck of the pivotal solon can be mentioned. On the contrary, if I were to work disrespectfully on Gordia, the prince, there was no way I would have just done that. Not only will he be beheaded himself, but he will certainly be tired to his parents' house.

I've never come this far, but I don't know what I took action for when I pulled back here amazingly.

The youth officers could not push and could no longer pull.

At that time, Gordia becomes the expression of realizing something.

"Wait a minute. - I'm pretty sure Aurelius came to the royal palace, huh?

When the youth officers affirmed it, Gordia often thought of something. Then I look up unexpectedly.

"... hello?!"

To put it that way, Gordia jumped out of the mansion blindly to the youth officers. The young officers were distracted by this, but I can't help but stay here. Anyway, I decided to go after Gordia.

Gordia headed for another mansion as close to his mansion. It is a splendid mansion with no lesser colour than the mansion of Gordia, the prince.

When Gordia slammed the door of the mansion indiscriminately, she discarded "Tell him I've been asking," to the servant of the house who has been showing his face.

Surprised by this sudden visit of the prince, the squire rushes back to the back of the mansion, trying to fall. And when that squire came back some time later, he had the Lord of this House with him.

"What is it at such a late hour, my brother?

It was my brother Partis.

It is when the Father King dies, and all the king's capital is in mourning. That said, Partis' upbeat face was stained red with alcohol. I don't know what you're already doing with a lot of alcohol, but all of that makes you feel dangerous.

To Partiz's inquiry, but Gordia does not answer, she turns her sharp gaze to the person who showed up following her brother.

"Damn, Your Highness! We're in the middle of a drink comparison! You're not allowed to run away just because you're about to lose!

It was Solon who showed up with a thousand feet with a liquor cup in one hand, rumbling against Partis, the prince. And Solon was no better than Partis, and his face was bright red with alcohol.

Partis opens her mouth to this and laughs.

"I didn't know you ran away! This Partis can't escape or hide! This is my tenderness to keep you a little drunk!

"I didn't know you were old. If you drink, you can still do it!

That's how Partis and Solon laughed.

The youth officers are flabbergasted by this.

He said he was running around trying to take that neck, but that his opponent was comparing Partis to drinking.

He is King Dordea's trustworthy, more intimate solon than his own. Naturally, as with Gordia, Partis is also an old fashioned pattern.

Until a little while ago, however, Partis said, "My father's revenge!" He was breathing. That was a story I couldn't even expect to compare to drinking friendly like this.

After a while, one of the youth officers who finally returned to me asks the dreaded Partis.

"With all due respect, I offer my regards to His Highness Partis. Aurelius there is the hateful vengeance of the late King Dordea. Why can't you just snap that neck?

Partis replies with a broad smile to a young officer who was otherwise publicly proclaimed to "snap Aurelius' neck."

"Uhm! I was going to kill him for a while, too. - But when I heard that eulogy, I changed my mind!

The youth officers are stunned by this.

I knew Partis was too honest a character to be immediately influenced by what others said. But I wonder if it would be too frivolous to forgive my father's revenge for anything but condolences.

Before such a youth officer, further Partis says.

"Whatever, that's not all. Earlier, when Aurelius came to our mansion, he said that he had been chased by an unsuccessful man. This is what he said." If you can survive to the main burial, so be it. Until then, I want you to hide it. "

Partis eyes moisturize.

"If he can finish his father's funeral, he will die for it, but he wants it?! As a son, can he not cry?!"

As the saying goes, Partis began to cry.

Partis snorts with a hand towel handed by Solon in anticipation of when he settles down to cry after a while.

"So, I told him! I'll take care of you! I will not tolerate any one who tries to harm you."

When Partis says it off with a proud face, Solon quickly gets his hands on it.

"That's right, Your Highness! Let that mercy and forgiveness be known and praised in heaven!

To this Partis blushed for a different reason than alcohol.

Then Partis looks at the youth officers and says:

"For that reason, I am delighted by your loyalty to your father, but I will not allow you to discuss this Aurelius. I don't know about tonight. Go home quietly."

The youth officers couldn't even make a sound.

Now if you take Solon's neck through me, you will buy Partiz's unhappiness as a second heir to the throne after working disrespectfully on Gordia, the first heir to the throne. Then, no matter which one becomes the next Romanian king, there will be no place for themselves in the Romanian state.

The youth officers had to leave awesomely.

Thus, only Gordia remained on the spot.

"Whoa, brother! Why don't you share your father's memorabilia with Aurelius?

Gordia waves her neck to the side to Partis inviting herself to a banquet.

"I have to pick up the messenger tomorrow. You can't just turn on the smell of alcohol. Plus early tomorrow. Let me go home."

"Right. That's too bad."

Not sarcastically, but sincerely unfortunately, Partis said. Then when he said goodbye to his brother, Partis returned to his banquet seat as he was escorted by his squire.

"Aurelius..."

Gordia calls off the solon she tried to follow after Partis.

I wonder what it is, Gordia says pale to Solon looking back.

"The story says, 'If a wounded and weak raven jumps into my chest, neither will the hunter be able to capture this'. How dare you jump into a dead place and get raw? Brilliant."

Even though he is a hunter who earns a living by capturing a rabbit, if a wounded and weak rabbit jumps at him, he will have feelings for it and will no longer be able to earn it. Turn it around and jump into the other person's nostalgia (two places) where you dare to harm yourself, appeal to your emotions, and be a "conundrum measure" for the danger.

It would be an effective measure for Partis that does not doubt a person's words and is emotional.

To Gordia, who so praises, Solon smiles with a snare and a slight grin.

"No, it happens"

If that's what you mean, Gordia didn't dare pursue it to keep it that way. But soon make a resentful face.

"I wish you could have relied on me, not my brother."

Solon makes a troubled face at this.

"If you shelter me, Your Highness will be even worse off. Besides, in the unlikely event that the young men of the other day scold His Royal Highness and commit the crime, I will lose my escape and be killed.

Then it will only hurt Your Highness's position or even the honor of the country. Then you will have to behead those young men to apologize to Your Highness and to my lord, Master Soma. "

Solon shook his head left and right with such expressions as intolerable.

"It is all too sad not only to neck this old man, but even these promising young men. Let us also, albeit in order to protect the honour of the country, take such action, all the more so for His Highness to be in a worse position.

If you think so, it's up to His Highness Partis to dare. I never thought I'd count on His Highness, Gordia. "

To Solon's words, Gordia looked small.

Towards that Gordia, Solon smiles again and lightly.

But behind that light-hearted grin, Solon stared at Gordia's eyes zizzly with sharp eyes as if he were going to foresee something.

The two stare at each other silently for a while.

And it was Gordia who took her gaze off first.

"Well, I'll let you go home as early as tomorrow. Tell my brother I said hello."

That being said, Gordia returned her heel. Solon speaks on Gordia's back as he walks away from Partis' mansion.

"Have a good evening, Your Highness. I'll see you tomorrow."

But Gordia keeps walking without even looking back.

Gordia, who left Partiz's mansion, reached the gate, where a servant who had followed him awaited in his hands the lights illuminating the night lane.

"I've been waiting for you, Your Highness. Your wife is worried. Let's go home."

The squire turned his back about to stand ahead of Gordia and walk out to illuminate the night lane.

Then, all of a sudden, there was a gong sound.

If the surprised servant looked back, there was a rugged look that Gordia had never seen before. And his right hand was shivering as he sifted with the gate column standing beside him.

"So, Your Highness...? How did it go?

A small voice squeezes out of Gordia's mouth at the words of a worried samurai.

"No. Nothing. - We're going home."

From Gordia's right fist, who said so and walked out, there was puffy blood and fell.
