Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 48: Fifty Years Ago

Because he didn't know who Tom Riddle had previously controlled, Ivan was afraid that he would steal the diary back while he was away.

So he kept the diary with him, just never opened it again.

Thanks to Ivan's caution, there were no further attacks in the castle.

Four months have passed since Justin was petrified.

Almost everyone seems to think that the attacker, whoever he is, has been washed away forever.

At breakfast one day, Ivan was pleased to hear Professor Sprout say to several students, "Mandela Grass held a lively, noisy dance in Greenhouse 3. When they want to move into someone else's flower pot, we know they're fully mature, and then we can bring those poor people back to life in the hospital ward. ”

Continuous good news keeps people happier.

Ernie of Hecky Patch is not hiding from them, and Pippy finally got tired of singing his song, "Oh, Potter, you nasty bastard”; Hogwarts Magic magazine's sales are picking up and everyone is turning their attention back to the upcoming Hecky Patch Quidditch match in Griffindor, which has to do with the final vesting of this year's Quidditch Cup.

In this environment, Evan was really surprised to see all the sophomores sitting in the public lounge on Easter Day with their troubled faces.

“The school asked us to choose a third grade course. ”

Harry took a curriculum full of annotations and explained to Ivan and Colin, who had just walked in, "Looks like we're going to add a few more classes. ”

“Professor McGonagall cautions us to be cautious.” Hermione looks seriously at Harry and Ron, "a cautious choice that affects our future. ”

“I don't know, but I just want to give up the potion class.” Harry said.

“Impossible!” Ron was depressed to say, "I had to take all the subjects, otherwise I would have thrown away the Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. ”

“But that class is important!” Hermione said in surprise.

“Like Rohit, I don't think so.” Ron said, "Except don't let the Pokémon out, I didn't learn anything from him. ”

Children who grew up in wizard families sought advice from their families through owls. For example, Neville, sitting beside him, received letters from many relatives, which made it harder for him to choose. He had to ask nervously if others found arithmetic divination more difficult to learn than ancient magic.

As for Harry, who grew up in a Muggle family like this, no one gave him advice.

At the end of the day, he even closed his eyes and used his wand to go anywhere on the list, choosing which course he wanted to go to.

“You can't do this, Harry!” Hermione hastily stopped him.

“Do you have any good ideas?” Harry said with a troubled look.

“We can all choose, and the school didn't say it wasn't allowed, did it?” Hermione said uncertainly.

“Yes, but I certainly wouldn't do that.” Harry shook his head in a hurry, "Hermione, that's not a good idea for me. ”

“The divination class looks interesting, you should choose this.” Ivan glanced over at Harry's curriculum, "I was very interested in this, and I'd like to come with you next semester if I have a chance. ”

“Ivan's advice is good, and astrology can help you see the future.” Percy walked in, and after learning that Mandela Grass was about to mature, he looked completely normal, and he coached Harry Road, "choosing what course depends largely on where you want to go in the future. ”

“People always say that choosing Muggle research is stupid, but I personally believe that wizards should have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of non-magical societies, especially if they want to work closely with Muggles. Look at my father, he has to deal with Muggles all the time. My brother Charlie has always loved to be outdoors, so he chose to protect magical creatures. Play your strengths, Harry. ”

Percy's suggestion didn't do much, because Harry couldn't think of any strengths besides Quidditch.

“Professor McGonagall wants us to hand over our options tomorrow and think about it carefully, Harry.” Hermione signed all the subjects, "and so did you, Ron, you're responsible for your future. ”

“That sounds like my mother!” Ron anxiously wrinkled his nose and looked impeccable.

In fact, his recent state of affairs has been very poor, and after looking for Mrs. Pomfrey to take two large bottles of sedatives, it has not worked, and it is believed that this could be an adverse reaction caused by a soul-snatching spell.

Also in bad shape is Ginny, Ivan can be sure that something must be hidden from the other party, but he talked to her a few times and nothing worked.

That evening, Ivan, Harry, and Ron sat in front of the fire in the public lounge, discussing every lesson.

Finally, Harry and Ron chose the same few new lessons. They felt that at least two people could be accompanied if the classes were too hard to learn.

By the time they had just signed the name on the chosen subject, Hermione had rushed in.

“I found the man who was expelled from school 50 years ago. ”

Hermione lowered his voice and said eagerly, "It's Hagrid, who opened the Chamber 50 years ago. ”

“This is impossible!” Harry stood up hastily.

“I wish it wasn't him either, but the evidence I found was bad for him. Hermione continued," Because I couldn't find any information in the library, I wrote a letter to Mr. Guffy, editor-in-chief of the Daily Prophet, asking for his help. ”

“What did he say? ”

“He sent me back a newspaper 50 years ago.” Hermione took out a newspaper, "look here, it says Ruberhaeg was expelled from school because of a serious accident in Hogwarts. ”

“What the hell? We knew Hagrid was fired!” Harry said unwillingly.

“Watch the reporting time, Harry! Hermione said," Think about the clippings Ivan showed us 50 years ago that said there was an accident at school and that the crying Peach Golden Girl was the victim of that accident. Shortly thereafter, Hagrid was expelled from school on the same grounds as causing a serious accident. ”

“Perhaps there is no connection between the two.” Harry said distressingly.

“But since Hagrid was evicted, the attacks have stopped!” Hermione sighed, "What do you think could be serious enough to get a student expelled from school? Think about it. Last time we met Hagrid in the overturned alley. ”

“He was just there to buy a potion to get rid of the predators.” Harry raised his voice, "Hermione, Hagrid would never kill anyone deliberately! ”

“He certainly won't, but the monster he raised is hard to tell. Hermione hesitated to say," Hagrid loves dangerous animals, he thinks they're all interesting, think about what he had in school last year, a three-headed giant dog and a young dragon. You see, shouldn't we ask Hagrid about all this? ”

“That was a really nice visit. Hello, Hagrid. Tell us, have you recently released something barbaric and hairy from the castle? ”

“It's not funny, Ron, for the sake of prudence, I think...”

“No, Hermione! Hagrid must be innocent, I believe him.” Harry stubbornly said.

All four were silent and the atmosphere was awkward. For a long time, no one spoke.
