Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 83: Lupin's Self-Blame

Lupin looked at Ivan with suspicion, and he did not know why the boy appeared outside the castle at this time, which clearly did not make sense. But he didn't intend to go into it, like him, everyone had their own secrets.

In fact, Lupin had a very good impression of Ivan after more than two consecutive months of contact.

In their own classroom, the other person always answers all the questions at the outset, and it can be seen from several after-school assignments that Evan has a very in-depth understanding and unique insight into the art of dark magic defense.

Lupin hasn't seen such a good young man in years, not to mention Evan and Harry had a very good relationship, just like he did in Jameport, Dwarf Peter and Sirius Black.

Thinking of Blake, Lupin was in a bit of pain, and he still couldn't believe that he would betray James and surrender to Voldemort, who used to be his best friend.

He shook his head, maybe he had the wrong person all the time.

Blake was also so good at that time, but he eventually chose betrayal, and the smarter people were, the more profitable the accountants were, the more friendship seemed to them to be just a commodity that could be exchanged at any time.

Would this boy sell out his friends for his own benefit, just like Blake?

Lupin carefully weighed Ivan, hoping to see something from it.

The next second, his eyes were wide open, and he seemed to see a familiar figure in the grass across from Ivan.

His wand tipped with a bright light and flew into the grass, where there was nothing.

Could it be an illusion?

Lu Ping relieved himself and now he is in contradiction.

On the one hand, he wanted to see Blake ask the whole thing clearly; on the other hand, he was afraid to see each other and that Blake would tell himself how he sold James and Lily to Voldemort.

Lupin has not remembered how many times he was awakened by this kind of nightmare.

Twelve years later, he had been blaming himself for not finding Blake's true face so early in the year that it was his fault that he had the chance to betray James and finally kill Peter the dwarf.

Lupin had thought this guilt would last forever, but Blake escaped from Azkaban, saying that his escape was intended to kill Harry and to kill the only son he had ever made friends with.

Lupin must never let this happen again, which is why he accepted Dumbledore's invitation to return to Hogwarts. He was trying to protect Harry, and maybe he could catch Blake himself and make a statement about what happened back then.

Lupin took a deep breath and now is not the time to think about these things.

“Evan, you should go back to the auditorium and stay with the others.” Lupin took two steps forward, immediately after which he stopped abruptly.

He saw the grass in the bush opposite Ivan overwhelmed in one direction, and there was something there, and he didn't miss it, it must be Sirius Black's Animagus, who had seen it countless times and would never forget it.

This boy is in contact with Blake, just a coincidence, or...

Ivan saw Lupin's expression and knew what he was thinking, which was really hard enough, and he didn't know how to explain it to the other party.

But he won't have to worry about it any longer.

Just as he hesitated, something climbed out of the grass, and Lupin apparently heard voices, and a strong light flew past. It was Crook Mountain, and it was suddenly shocked by the bright light and rushed into Evan's arms.

“Professor, I came out looking for this cat, my friend Hermione's pet, and I just saw it run out of the castle, and I was worried that it would have an accident, so I followed it. ”

Ivan wondered if Lupin would believe the excuse he was looking for. Lupin looked closely at Crook Mountain for a moment and gave a relieved look.

Two people went back to the castle, they had just turned around the corner of the hall and saw Dumbledore and Snape standing outside the auditorium, saying something.

“The whole castle was searched and no sign of him was found.” Snape whispered.

“Good, Severus, I didn't really think Blake would stay.” Dumbledore said calmly.

“But there's one thing I have to ask you to report.” Snape closed his eyes and said, "During the time we checked out the castle, one of our teachers was missing, the one I told you about before. ”

“What are you trying to say, Severus? ”

“I mean, how did Blake get into the castle, do you have any insights on that, Principal?” Snape said.

“Many, Severus, each is possible. ”

“You remember our conversation, just before the semester started?” Snape's voice was low and he obviously didn't want anyone to hear the conversation.

“Remember, Severus.” Dumbledore's voice contains similar warnings.

“As if, almost impossible, Blake can't get into this school without internal help, especially if the person is still missing, you know what I mean, I did express concern, in your fate...”

“I don't believe anyone in this castle will help Blake get in.” Dumbledore said that his voice made it clear that this was the end of the story, so Snape did not respond.

The man Snape suspected was obviously Lupin, and Ivan turned around and saw Lupin's face calm as if he had not heard what the two men had said.

“Severus, I have to go to the Phantoms," Dumbledore said, “and I told you, we'll let them know when we're done with the search. ”

“Are they going to help?” Snape said.

“Oh, yes!” Dumbledore calmly said, "But I'm afraid I'll never let them cross the school threshold for as long as I'm a principal for a day. ”

Ivan saw Dumbledore coming towards the hall, and Snape followed him when he saw himself and Lupin.

“Are you eavesdropping on our conversation?” Snape's gaze shifted from one person to the other and finally locked on Lupin with a look of hatred.

“Professor, we don't...”

“Be careful when making up lies, Mason!” Snape turns his eyes to Evan, "I have to remind you first that, by order of the principal, you should now sleep in the auditorium, instead of walking out of the castle with someone you don't even know and doing something sneaky. ”

“I..." Ivan said without a word, Snape and Dumbledore one by one were harder to deal with, and he hurried to go out to Crook Hill to say the reason again.

“For this stupid cat, Griffin buckles 10 more.” Snape hates to say, "Now go to sleep in the auditorium, and that's where you should be. ”

Ivan hurried towards the auditorium, and when he was about to go in, he turned around and saw Dumbledore, Snape and Lupin still standing there, not knowing what he was talking about.
