Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 96 Hagrid and Buckbeak

Over the next few days, Harry was discharged from the hospital and his life seemed to return to normal.

But losing the Quidditch game and what happened in the public lounge made an impact all the time.

The entire Gryffindor College has shown little dynamism and everyone's will is depressed.

Because of Ron, Hermione seemed to cry at any moment, which was too much of a blow to her; Harry often looked at his Halo 2000 wreckage alone, and although everyone tried to cheer him up in various ways, it didn't work; Wood seemed angry, as if he had lost his life goals all of a sudden; Fred and George were also not passionate about pranks, and the rate of research and development of new products had dropped significantly.

But none of them has Ron changed dramatically.

Ron's behavior is getting weirder and weirder, with the exception of Harry, who barely talks to anybody right now, has a bad temper and is unfriendly to everyone.

It's like an active volcano that has been depressed for a long time and can erupt at any time.

In Monday's magic lesson, Ron threw a big, slippery crocodile's heart directly at Malfoy as Malfoy mocked Harry, throwing it in his face, and Snape deducted Gryffindor 50 points.

Don't know if it's a delusion, Evan always feels like Ron's been replaced.

His eyes were always empty and stuck, but every time he saw himself, he was alert and hostile, as if he were going to throw himself over and beat him at any time.

Ivan does have this idea, if it solves all the problems.

In short, an unexpected failure has depressed the atmosphere throughout Gryffindor College.

The only thing that has made me happy lately is probably only Professor Lupin returning to class.

At the Defense Against the Dark Arts class on Wednesday, Ivan saw Professor Lupin.

He did look ill, the old robe loosened and collapsed on his body, the dark shadow under his eyes, the transformation of the werewolf must be very heavy on his body.

People are interested in asking how Lupin is doing and complaining about what Snape did when he was sick. To the best of Ivan's knowledge, Snape taught the same thing in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class in all grades, which is how to identify and kill werewolves.

Of course, almost everyone does not take this seriously.

For little wizards, in this day and age, werewolves are like living legendary creatures who think they will never be able to reach them in their lifetime.

Apart from Hermione, it is not clear to Ivan who discovered Lupin's true identity.

Snape is expected to be disappointed and his good intentions have had no effect other than to double his hatred altogether.

Professor Lupin returned and rejoiced the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

In that lesson, Ivan saw Lupin bring in a new dark creature, Hinkpunk, a guy with one leg, who looked like he was made of a bunch of smoke, fragile, and didn't seem to want to hurt anyone.

But in fact, it often lures travelers into swamps.

It leaps forward in a foggy swamp, leads the way in front of it with the lights dropping on its legs, people follow the light, and then die suffocating in the swamp, and Hinkponk lives off the rotten flesh of these dead people.

Looking through the tank, you'll never know how horrible this creature really is.

Professor Lupin's return provided a pleasant atmosphere that lasted just over two hours, and as Ivan walked downstairs to prepare for lunch in the auditorium, he saw Hagrid standing in the hall for a long time, surrounded by Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Hagrid had just returned from the school owl room, where he stood, his eyes swollen and tears fell on the front of his leather vest.

“Hagrid, what's wrong?” Ivan walked by surprise and saw Harry, Ron and Hermione reading an official letter.

Ivan glanced over and wrote:

Dear Mr. Hagrid, we have further investigated the attack on a student by the Hippocampus in your class, and we have accepted Professor Dumbledore's assurance that you are not responsible for this unfortunate incident.

However, we must express our concern about this troubled hawk. We have decided to support Mr. Lucius Malfoy's formal complaint and the matter will therefore be referred to the Committee on the Disposal of Dangerous Organisms.

We will organize a hearing at the Commission's London office on 25 January, which should be attended by you and your Hawkeye. In the meantime, the hippocampus shall be tethered and isolated. Your colleague… Below is a long list of school boards.

“They want to kill Buckbeak!” Hagrid cried uncontrollably, tears filled his face, and more tears fell on his tangled beard.

“But Buckbeak is not an evil hippogriff!” Harry is not sure, “Hagrid, I bet it'll be all right?! ”

“No, you don't know those freaks from the Hazardous Biological Disposal Commission.” Hagrid wiped his tears with his sleeves, "they fucked these funny animals! ”

Hagrid's words made several people look at each other in opposition, not knowing how to answer them.

Hippocampus, known by Hagrid as “an interesting animal”, is completely “a terrible monster” in the eyes of others.

Even if Buckbeak didn't mean any harm, nobody would like it.

In fact, according to Hagrid's usual standards, it must be amusing.

But Ivan knew it had nothing to do with whether Buckbeak was popular or not, and it was mainly Lucius Malfoys behind it.

Since the dismissal of Dumbledore from the school board last year, the Malfoy family's reputation has been lower; the conversation in the principal's office about who opened the secret room, and who leaked it, is now rumored by senior members of the magic community that Lucius was distributing his belongings as a Voldemort student.

This is not a good phenomenon, Lucius Malfoys urgently needs one thing to divert attention and revitalize the family's prestige.

Hagrid gave him such an opportunity to hold on to Hagrid and Buckbeak, an attack that had turned into a rivalry between him and Dumbledore, so that he could regain his lost prestige by removing Hagrid from his teaching position or killing Buckbeast Buckbeak.

Needless to say, the politicians from the Ministry of Magic and the school board must have made some trade-offs between the two of them, neither willing to offend Dumbledore nor willing to give up the large sum of gold from Malfoy.

They could support Dumbledore's retention of Hagrid at school in exchange for Lucius Malfoy's agreement to kill Buckbeak.

Apart from Hagrid, nobody cares about a hippogriff.

What hearing? It's just a procedure!

That committee is almost under Malfoy's control, and no matter what Hagrid says, it will be useful.

In other words, the outcome of this event has been determined from the outset.

Whatever Hagrid's will, whether or not Buckbeak really did it or not, it doesn't matter anymore.

Buckbeak will surely die, cruel as it may be, but it is true!

Maybe that's politics!
