Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 192 Destroying the Second Horcrux

Ivan took a half-step backwards, and before the tweezer pierced his skin, his other hand grabbed it and threw it out hard, throwing it all the way to the ground.

Tweezers calm down again as if they never lived.

Looking at the tweezers on the ground, Ivan dared not to be careless. He gasped for a moment, pulled his wand out, held it in one hand, and went back into the cabinet, slowly and carefully approaching the pendant box, always ready to defend against the danger that might arise.

This time, however, no obstacles were encountered, and he held the pendant box in his hand very smoothly.

While his left hand touched the pendant box, Ivan's eyes opened violently.

He couldn't believe how easily he got a voodoo apparatus, thinking about the Tom Riddle diary he met last year, compared to the Slytherin pendant box now, and the whole process was so easy that Ivan felt like he was dreaming.

He did not encounter any impediments except for a very low attack tweezer.

Ivan suspected that the tweezer was also a protective magic by Cliche, which was very much like a home breeding elf.

He looked up again into the hall and, despite the thick walls blocking her, Mrs. Blake's crazy screams continued to come in from time to time.

Looks like Cleech won't be back here for a while.

Sirius, Harry and Hermione disappeared into the dark lane without a trace. They seemed to go deep underground and could not even hear the conversation.

Ivan took a deep breath and he still has time.

He gently brushed his hands off the dust on the surface of the pendant box and carefully weighed the apparatus.

He then took out the pointy teeth of the serpent monster, which he had kept in his arms, and was prepared to destroy it here in order to avoid an accident.

Evan, who came into contact with Tom Riddle's diary last year, knew that the Horcrux itself was magical, capable of influencing the minds of those around him, and absorbed life from those who came into contact with it, and gradually came back to life, capable of exerting magic, without distinction of any kind from true Voldemort.

With that in mind, Ivan didn't want to put it on and accidentally control it, or anything else, which was too dangerous.

He doesn't know the exact age of Voldemort when he made this Horcrux, but one thing is for sure, at that time, he was definitely more dangerous, more evil inside and more masterful of dark magic than Tom Riddle, who was sixteen at the time of making the diary.

Ivan doesn't want to have another intimate contact with Voldemort, so destroying this Horcrux immediately is the smartest option.

He narrowed his eyes and carefully weighed the pendant box in his hand.

Needless to say, the most striking thing about the pendant box is the uppercase letter S in the center, like a curved snake, made of emeralds, which is Slytherin's signature.

Anyone who knows a little about the history of magic or the family crest of a pureblood wizard knows the true meaning of the letter. Salazar Slytherin himself is too famous, and besides co-founding Hogwarts with his three founders, he himself has done a lot of amazing things.

Around the capital letters, is a very obvious circle.

Outward, the circle is surrounded by a lot of hazy, yellow and black strange lines, and the styles are very complex, as if it were some kind of ancient text, conveying something.

Ivan doesn't know the words, and more precisely, he's not even sure if the lines are words, maybe they just happen to be arranged together.

These quirky textures seem magical, with occasional dark golden rays flashing over them, converging from the eight corners of the pendant box onto the central emerald stone.

Evan studied it for a while and found nothing but these words.

Then he doesn't hesitate.

He made up his mind to put the pendant box on a dusty dining table in front of him, holding Snake Monster's fangs tightly in his right hand.

In the darkness, his posture was strange.

It seemed like Ivan was going to feel something in his pendant box, like a cockroach in a cage.

“One... two...” Ivan breathed heavily, silently counting, trying to overcome his growing anxiety.

“One... two... three... go! ”

Ivan counted to the last number, and the wand gently picked up, and as he moved, the little gold cap of the pendant box clicked open.

Like a music box, the ominous noise of ding-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong-dong,

The inside of the pendant box is a glass door that seems to contain something.

He looked closely, through two tiny glass windows, and he seemed to see one living eye blinking each, and the dark light was like Tom Riddle's eyes.

As the music progressed, both eyes began to change, and they gradually turned red, and pupils began to turn into a line, into Voldemort's eyes.

In the music, there was a voice hissing from the apparatus, and it spoke to Ivan.

“I see your heart, it's mine.” Voldemort said softly, "I saw your dreams, son, and I saw your fears too. Anything you desire can happen, but anything you fear can happen..."

“Really?” Evan said softly that his right hand, holding the snake monster's pointy teeth, was shaking constantly.

“Yes, I can help you, help you succeed, what you want, strength, power, glory, I can give you, I can...”

The temptation of the voice was getting stronger and stronger, Ivan's head was messed up, he knew he couldn't wait any longer, Voldemort was trying to control him and had to do it himself.

Voldemort's whispering continues in the Horcrux.

But Ivan's right hand, holding Snake Monster's pointed teeth, stopped trembling. He gasped heavily, his eyes locked tightly on the pendant box, and his right hand stabbed him hard from the top down.

Clicking, the sound of broken glass.

As the ding-dong music stopped, Voldemort's soul, preserved in the soul apparatus, made a stinging scream, as if to penetrate the human soul, his red eyes disappeared, and the colored silk lining of the pendant box revealed a hinge of smoke.

Ivan's body was shaking and he knew he had succeeded.

He gasped heavily, his face pale, his legs shaking constantly, and he held onto the table in front of him so that he wouldn't fall.

He bowed his head and picked up the broken Horcrux.

Two small glass windows were pierced inside the pendant box, and there was nothing empty inside, and no trace of Voldemort's soul could be seen, as if he had never existed here.

Like glass windows, the silk lining at the bottom of the pendant box was pierced by Evan, so that it wasn't damaged as a whole.

“Huh!” Evan suddenly noticed that the bottom of the pendant box appeared to be the same as the outer lid and that there were a lot of strange cluttered lines inside the silk lining.

He hastily tore off all the silk, and Ivan was surprised to find that the inside and outside of the pendant box were all those yellow and black, obscure and bizarre words.

He can be sure that these are definitely not the lines that gold would have brought, but imprinted the day after tomorrow, as if they were a magic array.

Slytherin's locket is not just a ghost.
