Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 234: Dragons Deep Underground

Even though Ivan had been to the Gurling Palace many times before, he had never entered an underground vault, and his golden gallons were basically casual.

Hermione, like him, has never been to the depths of the Palace.

Only Harry, because his parents left him a legacy, went to his vault every year to collect some gold gallons for tuition before he started school.

Whether or not you've been to the Palace, they have a strong interest in the Blake family vault.

Although there is nothing to see in Sirius, it is just full of boring gold.

But filling an entire room with gold is shocking enough to think about.

Today is the first day after Christmas, as on the streets of Muggle outside, it's cold and clear in diagonal alleys, covered with snow everywhere.

On the street, with the exception of a few of them, many shops were not opened.

There was some concern that the Gringotts had not been opened.

But by the time they reached the skyrocketing snow-white loft in the heart of Diagonal Lane Square, the thick snow had been cleared and the shiny bronze gate had been opened, where a goblin in a scarlet uniform was standing.

“The fairies are extremely dedicated, they are open all year round, and only the Palace of the Gourd will open as usual during the Christmas holidays.” Lupin explained quietly.

“Don't mislead the children, Rhymes! We all know why the fairies don't rest, not engage, but because they're greedy enough. Let me see, these fairies don't give a shit about Christmas.” Sirius disdainfully said, "Gold is more important to them than festivals. ”

Sirius did not lower his voice, and the fairy standing in front of the copper gate apparently heard the phrase, looking at several of them with less friendly eyes than usual.

He still bowed down to salute everyone, but the action was fatal.

Ivan sees this fairy looking about the same height as himself, with a bright black face, a sharp beard, and particularly long hands and feet.

“Gentlemen, this way, please!” He led them into the Palace of the Gourrings.

Behind the bronze door is the second silver door.

When he first came to the Palace, Ivan just sensibly felt that the door was very beautifully made.

Later, by reading the relevant literature, he knew that the door in front of him was the gateway to the original establishment of the ancient spirit a thousand years ago, made of sterling silver by the fairy and refined with much magic by the greatest alchemist of the time.

Ancient magic may no longer work, but the door itself is of historical value.

A row of words engraved on both doors is a warning from the fairies, as if it were a curse, and the expression of thieves in the form of poetry will surely be badly rewarded.

The Goblin Cabinet, behind the long counter, the fairies sat on a high bench, hosting the first customers of the day, and the fairy who led them in led them to a very old fairy in the center.

Sirius Black! ”Seeing Sirius, the fairy is obviously very surprised," what a rare customer can I do for you today? ”

Perhaps thinking of Sirius' past dark experiences in Azkaban and the rumors outside that he was a killer, the fairy shook up.

“I'm going to the vault, not my own vault, but the vault of the Black family.” Sirius puts an accent on the Black family three words.

“Blake family vault?!” The old leprechaun retreated and poked his body out of the counter, "Do you have the keys? ”

“Bring it!” Sirius found a rust-stained key and threw it on the counter.

Ivan noticed that the key was long and engraved with the Blake family emblem.

“Good, no problem.” The fairy frowned and continued, “We can let you in, but as you know, that ancient vault of yours is in a special area, surrounded by strong protections, you'd better be alone..."

“We're going down together, I don't care about any special areas!” Sirius said impatiently, "Don't waste your time, there's so much more to do. ”

They stalled for a while and took one step back at a time.

Lupin stayed up there and waited for them. Sirius took Ivan, Harry and Hermione down. The fairy agreed to this suggestion, and in his view, Ivan, they were just kids, not qualified for defense at all.

Seeing each other so cautiously, Ivan became more curious about the Blake family vault in the special area and guessed what was in it.

“Pull the ring, you take them four to the vault underground.” The old fairy waved and said to the fairy who had just led them in.

Pulling the loop seemed to have predicted this a long time ago, and his eyes flashed an ill-intentioned light.

Behind the counter was a narrow side door that he ran over and opened for them.

Ivan walked in and would have seen the same architectural style as the tall marble hall outside, but he had a narrow stone gallery in front of him, and the burning torch illuminated it, like an ancient mine.

The corridor is a steep downhill with a small railway underneath.

A pull loop blew a whistle and a trolley rushed towards them along the railroad.

Harry first climbed into the car, seemed skilled, and he introduced Ivan and Hermione, who followed him, to what to look for.

“This car will be running very fast in a moment, you better hurry up.” Harry cautioned, "The road inside is winding like a maze. ”

Ivan and Hermione were all ready to hear Harry's words.

But the trolley was running much faster than they thought, and finally Sirius had just finished, pulling the loop to make a point.

The trolley starts up suddenly, getting faster and faster, as if it had no limits.

It burst into a gap in the wall with a few of them whistling and swept forward along a maze of twisted tunnels.

Dark painted deep underground, cold air strikes against the face.

Click-click, click-click, make Ivan hear nothing. All he knows is that they keep making sharp turns between the stalactites and flying deep into the earth.

Next to Evan, Sirius, Harry and Hermione's hair flew backwards, and the three of them didn't look too good and looked around nervously.

Only the fairy named La Ring was particularly pleased. He turned around and looked at them with joy and misfortune.

The pull ring waves its fingers from time to time, and after each swing, the trolley needs to speed up a bit.

Sirius is retaliating against a few of them because of what he just said.

Apart from being greedy enough, fairies are definitely the smallest creatures in the world and must be reported.

If he accidentally offends a fairy, he may remember it forever.

Though he knows the other side is bad, the interrupting loop is definitely looking for death.

Ivan bites his teeth and insists that, about 20 minutes later, the four of them have gone deeper underground.

They passed through an underground lake full of giant stalactites and stalagmites, dripping all the way down to the ground.

“I've never been this deep before!” Harry shouted out loud, "I was just passing through those rocks, like I saw something spraying...”

His shouts suddenly stopped, they quickly turned a sharp turn and the trolley slowly stopped.

“Step out of the car, gentlemen! We're going to switch cars, and we're going to use a deeper trolley in the Blake family vault.” The pull ring jumped first, "please go this way, we need to walk a bit. ”

But nobody moved except him, and everyone stared ahead.

In front of them, Ivan saw what Harry had just seen, a giant fire dragon chained to the ground not far away, preventing people from approaching deeper vaults.

The scales on the dragon have become pale and loose because they have been locked underground for too long, with cloudy pink eyes, heavy shackles on both back legs and heavy chains attached to large piles that penetrate deep into the stone floor.

Its spiky giant wings are gathered on either side of the body and will fill the entire basement if unfolded. Someone was perceived approaching, and the dragon turned his ugly head towards them, shouting a loud roar that made the stones tremble, and it opened its mouth and sprayed a fiery fire with an astonishing wave of heat.
