Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 239 Sirius Wand

Successfully found the deed, the purpose of the trip has been accomplished, and no one has moved on to the obviously dangerous dark magic items and other strange collections.

They were led by a pull loop, back the way they were.

Half an hour later, the car ran off and finally returned to the ground.

Fresh air, familiar buildings in Diagonal Alley and Professor Lupin laughing at each other, Ivan, Harry and Hermione all had a sense of being reborn. Though the Black family's wealth has not been seen as expected, the location of the vault and the myriad secrets beneath the Palace are also exciting enough.

They discussed with Lupin what they saw deep underground, firedragons chained to chains, islands in rolling lava, vaults of the pureblood wizards' family a thousand years ago, and so on.

Of these, Ivan was most interested in the vault with the Slythe family crest.

He can be sure of the absolute connection between the tattoo on that vault door and the weird tattoo on the Slytherin pendant box in his arms.

And one more thing about the secret treasure keys left behind by the Four Giants.

Ivan used to speculate about the hints about the location of the key.

From the literal point of view, since the keys to Griffindor's treasure are kept in the Horseman tribe, Slytherin's keys are likely to be hidden in the Palace of the Goblins, in the mysterious vault that he has just seen.

Now the question is how to determine this and get the keys out?!

It is impossible to ask a fairy about it. Breaking directly into the Palace of Gu Ling is even more likely to kill you.

Ivan thought for a while, if Slytherin's treasure keys were really in the Palace of the Gourds, he'd start with the vampire girl Elaine and his family.

Even vampires are descended from the Slytherins.

Like Voldemort, they are the rightful heirs to the vault by blood.

While Ivan was thinking about it, Lupin talked to Harry and Hermione about the magic the fairies had laid out in the Palace of the Goblins, and the weakness that you had just seen in that dragon.

Sirius followed behind and did not participate in the conversation.

He doesn't know if it's the crazy bumpy trolley or the empty vault that makes him look unhappy.

He stared forward unemotionally, not knowing what to think.

Harry and Hermione quickly noticed the situation, and they exchanged a disturbing look with each other, full of worry and silence.

Hermione stabbed Ivan gently, indicating that he looked back at Sirius.

Evan turns around surprised, and he understands exactly what Sirius looks like now.

Although Sirius said he didn't care about the treasures and gold, it was, after all, the wealth accumulated by the Black family over the centuries, passed down from generation to generation between families, and now it is all the property of another family.

Whoever encounters this kind of thing will be unhappy.

Sirius' mother, in particular, assigned the property, preferred to trust his two cousins rather than leave something for her own son.

If Ivan finds himself in this situation, he's going to die sadly.

“Sirius...” Harry yelled worryingly.

“I'm fine, just remembering some unpleasant past!” Sirius took a deep breath of cold air, regenerated, and participated in their conversation, "Rhymes was right, the Fire Dragon's weakness was in his eyes, and he could attack the place with an eye spell or some other spell, allowing them to retreat because of pain. In addition, there is a particularly fragile scale on each dragon if you want to slaughter a dragon..."

As they walked, Sirius seemed to recover completely.

Before going back to Leaky Cauldron Bar for lunch, everyone decided to take a look at 36 Diagonal Lane.

They left the main road and went into a narrow, backlit street where the snow had not been cleared for a long time and the deepest point was enough to reach the knee position.

The streets are depressed and all the shops are not open.

Only a small, broken shop opened its doors, and an old wizard with two big, light eyes was sweeping snow in front of it, and the gold sign on his head had peeled off, and it said: Olivender, a craftsman of fine wands since 382 B.C.

Ivan was very surprised to see Mr. Olivender.

He hasn't changed a bit, as he did the last time he saw it.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Olivender!” Everyone hurried forward to say hello.

“Good afternoon, gentlemen. Good to see you!” Olivender raised his head and his pale pupils crossed the faces of five people. He stayed with Evan and Harry the longest and eventually landed on Sirius. “Sirius Black, it's so good to see you again. Since we last saw each other, I didn't think there was a chance...”

“Oh, yeah, I didn't think I had a chance to go back to Diagonal Lane.” Sirius is pleased to say, "You've seen the recent reports, and with the help of these three children, I've been proven innocent. ”

“Of course, of course!” Olivender was happy to say, "East Aoki, 12 inches long, good at deformation magic, right? ”

“Yes, but that wand was broken 12 years ago when I was captured by the Ministry of Magic.” Sirius pulled the wand out, regretting to say, "That's a good wand, and I don't have the previous one right now. ”

“Of course not. It's resisting your power!” Olivender came over and whispered softly, "This wand doesn't belong to you, and I don't know where you got it. It's my grandfather's work, very ancient craftsmanship, elm and dragon nerves, a little tough, in that era, the material on the dragon body was very rare, only the wealthiest family of pureblood wizards could buy..."

Olivander took the wand from Sirius and watched it carefully, telling the story of the wand's good and bad, as if he were admiring a piece of art.

“Mr. Olivender?! ”

“Oh, yes!” Olivender returns the wand in his hand to Sirius, "this wand is great, but not for you! If you can, I suggest you pick another wand in my shop. ”

“I don't think that's necessary, I'm not a newborn little wizard anymore, and I can master any wand.” Sirius complacently said.

“That's too bad!” Olivender continues, "You know, it's the wand that's choosing the wizard, and using someone else's wand will affect your own power. ”

“Mr. Olivender is right, you really should change your wand.” Ivan persuaded him that he knew the importance of the wand to the wizard.

For wizards, the use of others' wands can be extremely difficult, affecting the power of spells and the transmission of magic, and powerful wands can even resist the will of users.

In the original book, Voldemort, for that reason, resisted the use of a killing spell against his true master, Harry, and died in vain.

The same is true of Sirius, who has been on the run in his original book and cannot possibly choose a wand of his own, he must have used it, as he does now, with a wand belonging to one of his ancestors.

When he fought Bellatrix, because of his wand, he was unable to use his true strength and eventually lost his life.

For Sirius, replacing a wand is a very necessary thing in order to cope with the danger that lies ahead.

“Sirius, since both Mr. Olivender and Ivan have said so, you need to change your wand...” Harry said with concern.

“No need, I can control this wand!” Sirius replied stubbornly.

“It's only temporary, and as time goes on, it will affect you more and more.” Olivender said softly, "At the heart of this wand is the nerve of dragons, you know, dragons are powerful creatures, they don't willingly obey...”

Hearing Olivender, Harry screamed, "Sirius! ”

“All right, all right, I can come back sometime later!” Sirius hugged Harry's shoulder and said in a gentle tone, "Don't you guys remember? We're going to the store now, and we're going to the hospital to see the Weasley boy, and we can't wait here. ”

“It won't take long, we can wait for you in the store.” Ivan pointed to a very dilapidated house not far from the wand store and said, "I see the door sign, 36 Diagonal Alley! ”
