Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 245: The Lonely Hero

Ivan weighed this ward, and it seemed like a patient's home.

There are far more private items around the bed than Ron, and Gideon's headboard has his own photograph on it, smiling with open teeth and waving greetings, as before.

Many of the photographs had his childish signature on them, and as soon as he was pressed into the chair by a therapist, he pulled a picture, grabbed a quill and signed it with enthusiasm.

“You need to put them in an envelope, so I can mail them to my worshippers.” He threw a signed photograph on Hermione's lap, just like he did at school, "I wasn't forgotten, no, I still got letters from many admirers, Gladys Gugion wrote every week, I don't understand why? ”

He stopped, seemed a little confused, then smiled and signed vigorously, "I guess just because I look handsome! ”

Ivan looked away, and in addition to Rohit, there were two patients, a man and a woman, lying in the corner of the room, staring at the ceiling and talking to themselves, as if they were unaware of what was around them.

“That's the Lombardons!” Noting Ivan's gaze, the therapist explained, "They've been here a long, long time, for over a decade, and they were here before I got here to work. ”

Evan was, suddenly, Neville's parents.

They are both proud and original members of the Phoenix Society. During the First Wizard War, a heroic struggle was waged against Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

After Voldemort failed and fled, they were captured by Bellatrix Lestrange, Jr., Buddy Crouch, and other Death Eaters just when people thought the war was over. The Death Eaters tortured them both wildly with a drill spell, hoping to get news about Voldemort and where they might escape.

Finally, they were tortured insanely, did not recognize their families, did not even know who they were, and had been treated at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Injuries.

Needless to say, they are both heroes, but the ending is very tragic.

“Did you just say Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom?” Hermione was surprised to say that something seemed to have been noticed.

“Yes, they are Mr. Frank Longbottom and Mrs. Alice Longbottom.” The therapist said, "Their old mother, Mrs. Old Longbottom, would come to visit them every day, and there was a round-faced boy, I think, called...”

“Neville!” Hermione exclaimed.

Meanwhile, the ward door was opened again.

Ivan saw Neville, depressed, walking in with a terrible old witch behind him, wearing a green robe, worn in a wormless fox skin, apparently decorated with a vulture specimen on his pointed hat.

“Evan, Hermione, you, you..." Neville shook, shaking, as if a bullet had just rubbed from his side.

He looked extremely surprised and immediately became alarmed. Neville looked away at Ivan and Hermione and uncertainly at the parents lying in the back bed. He obviously did not want his classmates to know about his parents.

The atmosphere was so embarrassing that Ivan wished he hadn't come to this room.

“Is that your friend, Neville, sweetheart?” Neville's grandmother graciously said, walking towards Ivan and Hermione.

Neville didn't speak, the drum's face was purple-red and he didn't dare touch everyone's eyes. He seemed to prefer to be anywhere in the world, just not here.

“Are you Evan Mason?!” Mrs. Lombardon took care of Ivan and shook him with a dry, eagle-clawed hand, "Yes, I know you, I read about your photographs and related stories in the paper the other day, and it says that you and Harry Potter saved the Blake family together, very well done! ”

Mrs. Longbottom patted Ivan on the shoulder and turned to Hermione next to her.

“As for you, it must be Hermione Granger.” She and Hermione shook hands and continued, "Neville told me about you, you helped him through some tough times, and Neville rated you both very highly. ”

Neville didn't look at them, he just stared at his feet and his face was getting purple.

“Neville is a good boy!” Mrs. Lombardon turned her head and looked down at Neville with a stare of scrutiny, "but without his father's talent and not as smart as his mother, I have to say...”

She turned her head slightly towards those two beds inside, and the vultures on her hat trembled in horror.

Ivan and Hermione were silent and looked back at the two men lying on the inner bed, not knowing what to say.

“Neville, haven't you told your friends about your parents before?” Mrs. Longbottom asked loudly that she had noticed an anomaly in the atmosphere.

Neville took a deep breath, looked up at the ceiling and shook his head.

Unconsciously, Hermione grabbed Ivan's hand gently and seemed very sad. She was worried about what happened to Neville but didn't know what to do.

“Huh, that's not a shame!” Mrs. Longbottom said angrily, "You should be proud, Neville, proud! They sacrificed their health and reason, not to embarrass their only son! ”

“I'm not ashamed.” Neville said faintly, still not looking at Ivan and Hermione.

“You behave in a strange way!” Mrs. Lombardon looked at him and turned her head proudly and said to Ivan and Hermione, "My son and daughter-in-law were tortured by mysterious men who were once arrogant and respected in the magic world. ”

Hermione covered her mouth with her little hand and looked back at Neville's parents.

Neville's mother sat up from the bed when she heard the noise. Her face was thin and pale, her eyes were particularly large, her hair was white, and she dried up in chaos. She doesn't seem to want to talk, or she can't, just sit in bed and paint at Neville timidly.

Seeing her move, the therapist rushed up to greet her.

“Alas!” Mrs. Longbottom sighed, glancing again at Neville and walking to her son and daughter-in-law.

There is an inexplicable loneliness in her old shadow.

Neville did not move, he took a deep breath and looked up at Ivan and Hermione challengingly as if ready to accept their laughter.

Evan had never encountered anything worse in his life, his eyes shifted elsewhere, and he didn't look at Neville.

Next to him, Hermione's tears turned in his eyes and looked at Neville worried.

They finally didn't know how to get out of the ward. In the corridor, Hermione cried, "I never knew...”

Ivan did not speak, and his heart was similarly heavy.

Neville's birth was almost as pathetic as Harry's, in a certain sense, even more pathetic than Harry's, who, although he was able to see his parents regularly, could not recognize him, and he dared not even mention them to his friends.

For Neville, this is endless pain and suffering.

Evan sighed and recognized once again the brutality of the Death Eaters and the cruelty of the war.

In the face of a dangerous future, the only guarantee is to strengthen oneself as much as possible.
