Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 256 Seeds and Germination

Admittedly or not, Ivan is the most famous of all Hogwarts students.

Create a very successful newspaper with far more strength than a small wizard of his age, defeat the horrible Snake Monster, prove Professor Lupin's innocence, rescue Sirius Black, defeat the evil dwarf Peter, etc. He has done many famous and even inspiring things in the magical realm...

In less than two years, Ivan has done things that many wizards will never be able to accomplish in their lifetime.

Given his age and the origin of Muggles, it is simply incredible to be able to do so.

While envying Ivan, everyone had to admire his efforts.

He and Hermione spend more time in the library each day than all the little wizards, not even the students who prepare for the Wizarding Level exam.

You can often see a picture of Ivan and Hermione sitting at a long black table on the innermost side of the library, surrounded by thick magic books or other materials, two people watching and taking notes quietly under candlelight, and occasionally talking in a low voice.

Quiet atmosphere with faint warmth.

That long table was a fixed seat for both of them, and Ivan and Hermione were used to coming there an hour after dinner until around 10: 00 p.m.

Hermione will have two hot chocolates ready if she comes early. Because of the lack of sugar, it was particularly painful, and Evan looked at Hermione with a smile, frowned and drank it, but it helped to lift the spirit.

After leaving the library, the two of them will stroll in a dark castle.

Then go back to the Gryffindor Public Lounge, chat with others, play Wizard Games, or help Harry, Ron, and Colin finish their after-school assignments.

Ivan and Hermione behaved in a very regular fashion, which you are all familiar with.

But since the start of the new semester, everything has changed unknowingly.

First of all, Hermione, because of too many choices, travels back and forth between different classrooms every day without free time. It is also customary to do your homework in the corner of the public lounge every night rather than go to the library.

Ivan spends more and more time in the library, and he is now hardly involved in any college activities, sitting alone in the library as long as there are no classes.

Near his seat, he can sometimes smell the magic of the stinging nose.

Wizards with in-depth studies of magic and pharmacology will know that the medications Ivan takes are energizers that allow the user to concentrate, improve attention, and not feel fatigued for a short time.

This medicine requires extremely precious materials, which little wizards do not normally use.

But Ivan had to, and all he needed now was time.

His research into the dark magic collections taken from 12 Grimo Square is completely bottlenecked and needs to be supplemented with more theoretical knowledge.

Because it's all the most sophisticated black magic, Ivan's theoretical knowledge that needs to be supplemented is also very deep and complex, and he can only read and learn in the library during the day.

When everyone falls asleep at night, he has to take out the forbidden dark magic books and do some research secretly by himself to validate some of his thoughts.

As research progresses, Ivan's magic water strength improves rapidly.

The side effects are also very obvious. In the past, his body would not have been able to handle them without the help of magic.

In fact, Ivan's recent anomalies have also attracted the attention of some.

For example, Mrs. Pines, the librarian, can see what she thinks about Ivan by looking increasingly worried in her face.

Mrs. Pines would be happy to share her views on Ivan if she took the time to talk to her.

In her view, Evan is likely to become an evil dark wizard.

Many of the magic books he borrowed were taboo, full of theoretical knowledge about dark magic or dark creatures. Although screened by schools, there are no direct dark magic books, frequent borrowing of these magic books does not bode well for itself.

But Ivan had Sirius' criticism, and Dumbledore acquiesced in Ivan's behavior, and Mrs. Pines had nothing to say, although she was worried.

In addition to her, Ron was particularly attentive to Ivan's behavior and research.

Ever since Harry and I accidentally discussed Ivan's topic that night, the seed of mistrust has sprouted in his heart.

Although he repeatedly warned himself deep down that Ivan had saved him from Snake Monster and dwarf Peter many times before, he should have believed in Ivan unconditionally.

But the strange emotions in Ron's heart grew stronger and stronger when he thought of the possibility that Evan might be doing an evil dark hair study.

Undeniably, he was very jealous of Ivan, jealous of everything he had.

Ron was used to this feeling, and he was very jealous of his brothers since he was a kid, jealous of their new magic supplies, their achievements, and so on.

He was also jealous of Harry after entering Hogwarts.

But overall, he was willing to believe them. Rather than being jealous, Ron's inner emotions envy him more than anything they don't have, power, achievement, fame, etc.

But now he's jealous of Ivan, but full of suspicion and mistrust. As time went on, Ron became more and more suspicious of what Ivan was doing, of what he was studying, of what he had done, even of what he was doing to save himself, and so on.

Ron knew his thoughts might be a little unusual, or even scary.

He can be sure that he is not now affected by any magic of bewildering minds, which is his true idea that seeds of mistrust have sprung up.

Ron hesitated for a long time to find the answer.

He's not questioning Evan, he's helping each other. If Ivan is really working on dark magic, he should stop it as soon as possible.

Evan will appreciate it when he understands.

Unlike Mrs. Pince, the librarian who discovered Endni but was not prepared to take any action, Ron decided to investigate Ivan's research.

He has discussed this with Harry many times. But nothing came of it, and Harry, though a little worried, generally believed Evan. Harry repeatedly persuaded Ron that he might have over-complicated things.

Even if Ivan was really studying black magic, he must have a good reason.

In Ron's view, it's not the complexity of what he thinks, it's the simplicity of what Harry thinks, and like everyone else, we're all confused by Evan's surface.

Since Harry was reluctant to help, he was prepared to act alone.

Ron was going to start with a notebook with a horrible pattern of what Ivan was doing.

Because knowing exactly what Ivan is doing in school now, Ron does not intend to speak up or talk about it with anyone else until everything has been investigated, which is just a personal secret.

After several discussions with Ron, I saw him never mention it again, and Harry gradually threw it behind his head and devoted himself to Quidditch training.

It's just that he doesn't even know that Ivan was already impressed by the dark magic research he was doing.

Unlike Ron, who was ready to act, Harry was just reluctant to think and believe.

But the seeds of mistrust have been buried, waiting quietly for the day when they germinate.
