Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 287: Futile Flight Exercises

On the eve of the exam, there was a tense and uneasy atmosphere in the castle.

Harry and the rest of the Griffindor team had to do their homework every day while they were forced to divert all their energy from the octave spider to school.

Not to mention that they are now discussing tactics with Wood indefinitely.

Gryffindor's game against Slytherin in this year's Quiddich final will take place on the first Saturday after Easter.

Slytherins are a lot ahead of two percent in the tournament, which means Harry, if they're going to win the trophy, they're going to score more than that. And the burden of scoring falls primarily on Harry, as he gets 150 points for catching a golden thief.

Every day at the table, Ivan can hear Wood constantly telling Harry, "So you have to grab it only when we're more than 50 minutes ahead. Only when we're more than fifty points ahead, Harry, or we win the game, but we don't get the trophy. You have to do this, right? If we get more than 50 points, you have to..."

“I know, Oliver!” Harry shouted out loud, “That's what you told me 23 times already! ”

“We must be careful, Slytherin already knows you have a crossbow, and they must have thought of coping tactics.” Wood shifts the subject to tactical arrangements, "our game is about scoring and comprehensively suppressing the Slytherins. You're the key to this game, Harry, and you have to be 50 points ahead of us..."

With the exception of Wood, the entire Gryffindor House is obsessed with the upcoming game.

This is exciting enough to think about, since Ron's second brother, the legendary Charlie Weasley, left, Griffindor House has not won a trophy.

All Gryffindor wants to win the game and everyone is eager to win.

Especially given the many grudges between Gryffindor and Slytherin, between Harry and Malfoy, and what happened in that game between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, it has made Harry determined to defeat Malfoy in front of the whole school.

They are now training day and night, trying to find the best in the team.

The Slytherins, on the other hand, train far less frequently than Griffindor, who now gather all day in shadow and stare at Harry and the rest of the players unwillingly, seemingly intend to win the game in other ways.

Over time, tensions between the two teams and the two houses have reached a triggering point. Harry's life is particularly difficult now, and Wood has given orders that Harry should be accompanied wherever he goes, in case Slytherin's people make Harry unable to play.

And Harry cared more about the safety of the crossbow than he cared about himself. When he didn't use the crossbow, he locked it tightly in the box, and often rushed back to the Gryffindor to see if it was still there during the break.

Like the unusually busy Harry and Hermione, Ivan doesn't have much time.

In addition to the pressure of the college curriculum to continue his magic studies in the library, he also tried to find a way to dive into the Aragok lair.

Ivan has not made much progress in this regard.

He couldn't have broken directly into it, and among the magic Ivan knew, there was no one who could have slipped under the eyes of hundreds of eight-eyed giant spiders into Aragok's lair and killed it silently.

To think about it, it would be more feasible only to fly directly in.

Ivan had to find his wheel 2000 under the bed and practice flying on the field every afternoon when there was no class.

Now, the little wizards are often able to see the Quidditches of Griffindor practicing at high altitude, while Ivan travels slowly beneath them on a flying broom.

You point to this behavior, and you're curious what Ivan is doing.

You know, he's been the focus of the little wizards' attention, especially at this sensitive moment when the Quidditch Finals are about to begin, and Ivan's behavior is too suspicious.

The Slytherins were suspicious of rumours that Ivan was a secret weapon prepared by the Griffindors, but did not dare to harass Ivan like they did against Harry and other players. Like Snape, they are now ignoring all of Ivan's actions.

Ivan's fear of heights has been somewhat alleviated with a lot of practice.

Even if he can't fly as well as Harry did, he can't even fly halfway through the air sitting on a broomstick.

After mastering a certain flying technique, Evan became increasingly suspicious of the possibility of using a broomstick to dive into the Aragok lair.

Bringing a broom with you to fight the octave spider, this image is funny just to think about.

He's not cleaning up there, he can't just fly in without a head and then ignore anything, he's flying back with the same broomstick, this method is too unlikely to succeed...

Time has gradually passed, and Ivan has yet to make much progress.

On the eve of the match, he had to stop flying and completely abandon this somewhat daunting approach. In fact, all day-to-day activities in the public lounge of Gryffindor have ceased, even Hermione has dropped his books.

“I can't study, I can't concentrate.” She said nervously.

There is a lot of noise around, and Fred and George Weasley say that living sounds are louder and more exaggerated than usual to relieve stress.

Oliver Wood squatted in a corner in front of a Quidditch court model directing the little man back and forth on the field with a wand, and what else was whispering in his mouth, Angelina, Alia and Katie laughing because of the jokes Fred and George had told.

Harry and Ron sat together, and the two of them even avoided Hermione and Ivan, always whispering something, seemingly discussing the next day's game.

Nobody cares about the upcoming exam, nobody cares about the octopus spider and horseman in the forbidden forest, only Ivan still thinks about it from time to time, thinking about himself sneaking into the dangerous octopus spider nest...

Every time Ivan thinks like that, he has a terrible feeling that something big is struggling to get out of his stomach.

“Relax, Ivan, don't think about the horses and the octopus.” Hermione closed the book at hand and she seemed to see what Ivan was thinking, "you always told me before, not to put too much pressure on yourself, and so did you. With regard to the demands made by the horseman, we can work together to find a way. This is not your business alone. ”

“I know, I'm just...” Ivan argued.

“Come on, Harry looks more nervous than you, we should go and comfort him.” Hermione walked away with Ivan, "at a time when he wasn't really fit for school, there was no way to concentrate. ”
