Chapter 321 Discussion in Dumbledore's Office

As the sun sets west, everything on the ground is plated in a golden yellow.

Sunset seeks to shine the last glimmer of light onto Hogwarts' immense castle.

The same is true in Dumbledore's office, where the sun shines through rectangular windows and fine silverware stands on a table with elongated legs, gently spraying smoke and spinning. Not far away, the glass container containing the sword of Godric Griffindor gleams with a faint glow.

Phoenix stood on a huge shelf and made a strange noise.

Other than that, the office was quiet.

Dumbledore's rare frown sits on a giant armrest chair with a pale blue gaze at what is in front of him.

On the surrounding walls, the old Hogwarts male and female headmasters were all blind, looking at the dark red nameplate in front of Dumbledore.

This nameplate is the one Ivan found in the underground ruins with the horrible monster pattern engraved on it, as well as the human souls that are being consumed by it.

“Do you have any thoughts on this?” Dumbledore asked softly.

“Terrible monsters, nightmare incarnations, immortal beings, feeding on the souls of humans and other living spirits!” An old man replied lazily, his voice was filled with drama, "Shh, it's horrible, this monster should only exist in mythological stories! ”

He is Phineas Nigels Black, Sirius' great-grandfather, the most unpopular principal in Hogwarts' history.

“But it appeared in Hogwarts, Phineas!” A witch with a bright eye shook a very crude wand in her hand and said harshly, "Abbess just told us everything that this monster appeared in a forbidden forest not far away, and a boy named Evan Mason found it. ”

“He's lying, and the Gryffindor College guys themselves are untrustworthy, a bunch of kids who love it.” Phineas said with disdain, "If he really encounters this monster, how can he get out of there? For me to see, he's a complete liar! ”

“What a shame. Just a few months ago, that kid saved your grandson's life and proved the Blacks innocence.” Dexter Fosco's portrait shouted out loud, "How can you insult him so much? ”

“Now that I mention my useless grandson, I have to...”

“Well, we should get back to the point!” Dalis Devent said slowly.

She is an old witch with long silver hair curls, and the most prestigious headmaster in Hogwarts history, asking for her portrait in many important institutions.

“This nameplate and the monster on it are obviously the magic of the ancient magicians.” Unlike today's wizards, we all know how horrible those lunatics are, and for the sake of taboo research, they can pay any price to create such a horrible monster, and it's not impossible. ”

“But with the changing times, they have all vanished, and no one has lived for thousands of years, not even magic.” Phineas rebutted, "This is not a foolish medieval century, those old antiques from a thousand years ago...”

“Not all, not all, they didn't disappear completely.” A weak old wizard said slowly.

He is Quentin Trimble, the Master of Defense Against the Dark Arts and the author of the must-read textbook The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense.

“Ancient magicians have studied death spirits, demons and magic of life beyond the imagination of ordinary people, some of whom may have escaped the judgment of death.” Quentin slowed down for a moment and went on to say, "There are many known methods, but there is only one that can be practically passed down, and we have discussed this topic many times before. ”

“It's all just speculation, don't think I don't know, you've always been biased against the best students at Slytherin.” Phineas complained.

“It's not speculation, the diary confirmed everything last semester, and Ivan's pendant box with a powerful magic reaction should be one. Dumbledore crossed his fingers and said calmly," The problem now is the number remaining, he must have made a lot of them, which is unquestionable. ”

The office was silent for a while and no one spoke.

“Well, well, I don't understand why we're bringing the subject up again, and we're talking about this damn nameplate.” Phineas said rudely.

“Indeed, in order to escape death, the ancient magicians and the dark wizards have carried out a great deal of research, and no one can guarantee that there are any other successful methods besides the production of the Horcrux.” Quentin said slowly, "According to the description, the monster is more like the co-creation of the Necromancer and the Demon Magic, it basically fits all the characteristics, perhaps some black wizard has made a direct and evil modification of his body...”

“Ridiculous, ridiculous, I've never heard of such magic.” Phineas whispered.

There was a chirping argument in the office, and other male and female principals questioned Quentin's reasoning because it sounded terrible.

“I think I've seen the pattern on this nameplate somewhere.” A dry voice suddenly sounds, the owner of the voice is a shady old man, wearing a very old black wizard robe, "I must have seen this pattern in some magic book in our time, because of the protracted war in the world of Muggles, when black magic was very prevalent and many magic books had not been destroyed. But it's been too long, I can't remember..."

“What's the difference from not saying anything?!” Phineas said with dismay that he had raised the volume and covered the voices of others who had spoken, "Whether this monster really existed or not, whatever it was, I don't think there's any reason to worry, because it's been wiped out by the great Salazar Slytherin himself! ”

He was proud of it.

Hearing him mention Salazar Slytherin, the other male and female school principals, rarely disputed, paid tribute to the four founders of the school.

Dumbledore looked calmly at the nameplate in front of him and wondered what he was thinking.

At this point, the door of the office was suddenly opened and Snape, dressed in a black robe and gloomy face, stepped in.

On the walls, the portraits of all male and female principals were restored to their usual positions, and their faces were taken seriously as if they had never moved before.
