Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 565: First Communication with a Mermaid

Hogwarts Magic reports on the Triwizard Tournament and this interview were published in print the day after the interview.

The story provoked a lot of excitement and echo in the magic world.

Apart from the vampire capture operation, which still has little progress, the Triwizard Tournament is the hottest topic in the world of magic.

Wizards all want to know who the warriors of the three magic schools are and what their basic situation is.

Also, why add the specific reason for a warrior, and the project content of the competition, and so on.

Ivan and Hermione's stories were timely and informative content satisfied everyone's desire for exploration and sales volume was very good.

It's not surprising, but it's strange that Rita Skeeter's story didn't come out.

She and the Daily Prophet do not seem to be in a hurry, and obviously their focus is not the same as Ivan Hermione's.

It seems they intend to wait for the Hogwarts Magic story to go away before publishing their story.

Over the next two weeks, school life returned to the same calm that it had been in the past.

Hecky Patch and Slytherin seem finally tired of endless hostilities with Griffindor, and although not very friendly, they have been able to talk to other people normally, showing obvious hostility and endless ridicule only when faced with Ron.

Gabriel and everyone are becoming more familiar and fully part of Gryffindor.

Ron also finally recovered from the excitement of becoming a warrior and began to think about how to face the first project.

He was finally starting to get a little scared that he had to complete an unknown, dangerous and difficult magic activity in front of everyone in the school. The help of Ivan, Harry and Hermione made up for a lot of magic knowledge and spells.

These things are too low-level, Ron has a lot of homework to do, and a lot to learn.

Nevertheless, Ivan can't see how learning these inferior spells will help against the Fire Dragon.

And Ron didn't learn too much, he spent a lot of energy on other things. Though he began to value the matter, in general, he did not realize the seriousness of the incident and did not expect the first project content to be Fire Dragon!

In addition to occasional mentoring of Ron, Ivan's mermaid language has finally begun.

At the very least, that's what he thinks, he writes down most of the words he sees in the book.

On the second weekend, he was going to try to communicate with the mermaids in the lake to test his learning outcomes.

If you're lucky enough, you might get information about the Four Giants' secret treasure keys.

Unlike that lake near the Moon Temple of the Ma tribe, the lake in front of the school castle is wider and deeper.

Ivan arrived at the bottom of the lake five minutes after a quick dive in a dark, hazy and strange scenery.

There is a jungle of fluctuating, tangled black aquatic plants and wide, flat mud sand scattered with sparkling little stones.

Keep going, you may encounter fish and giant squid on the move at any time.

In the middle of the lake, he also saw many remains of mermaids.

For example, large rocks set up in cloudy lakes with lots of mermaids, spears in their hands, chasing things that look like giant squid or strange stone statues.

After an exploration, Ivan found a mermaid tribe in the deepest depths of the lake.

It's a huge village with many rough stone snails and spots of algae on it.

As Ivan approached him, in those dark windows, some faces suddenly appeared, spying on him, all mermaids.

The scene was creepy enough that at the deepest depths of the dark water, Ivan was instantly surrounded by mermaids drilling from all sides.

Unlike the blonde mermaids in the fairy tale, they have iron gray skin, long inky green hair, chaotic flutter, and a disgusting smile on their faces, as if they were monsters drilling out of the abyss.

Their eyes are yellow, their incomplete teeth are yellow, and they are wearing pebbles stranded with coarse rope around their necks.

The mermaids slapped the lake with a strong silver tail.

After seeing Ivan, they didn't say anything, and attacked directly with the spear in their hand.

After a brief contact, Ivan was able to communicate peacefully with them.

Of course, he did it not with the language he had just learned, but with magic.

It wasn't very difficult, and the mermaids looked fierce, but as soon as they saw the light coming out of Ivan's wand, they turned around and fled, drilling back into those stone snails.

Evan had never seen such a cowardly creature with yellow eyes staring at Evan's wand on his face, looking frightened.

Despite their multitude, Ivan was alone.

The look on their faces shows that, like giant squid, they have no knowledge of magic and remain in awe.

Evan magically controlled a mermaid closest to himself, a very strong guy.

He stared at those big yellow eyes, staring at Evan and his wand in horror, his body trembling constantly.

The conversation that followed was not going well, and it wasn't a pleasant thing to keep spitting bubbles out of your mouth in the water.

From the look on the other guy's face, Ivan wonders if he understands what he's saying.

It took him about a few seconds before he blew a bunch of bubbles at Ivan.

This time, Ivan can be sure that he doesn't understand what the other person is saying, and he can only identify a few words.

Just as he was preparing to make further attempts, the mermaid under his control couldn't stand the irritation and simply passed out.

Evan laughed bitterly, not expecting such an outcome.

Looking around, a black stone snail was like a haunted house, no longer seeing the trail of the mermaids.

He finally had to abandon this failed exchange and leave the dark, cold lake water upwards to return to the castle.

This is definitely not going to work, and this failed communication experience tells Ivan that some gifts should be prepared for these cowardly mermaids.

Perhaps this will give them a sense of goodwill.

From the book Where Wonderful Animals Are, you can see that the earliest mermaids appeared in ancient Greece.

They live in warmer waters with a handsome appearance and more powerful magic.

After thousands of years of development, mermaids are now found all over the world, and their appearance is immense.

As the place of residence varies, its appearance and mastery vary.

Simply put, these mermaids settled in the lake in front of Hogwarts Castle are a bunch of unwittingly ugly creatures.

They may have strong physical power, but they have nothing to do with the many legends and mythical tales that frequent mermaids.

Love music, probably the only hobby they inherited from that distant ancestor.

Evan decided to prepare some classic human music for them the next time he came, which might work.
