Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 637: Crevices in Mermaid Statues

No wizard is allowed to collect magic material in nearby waters because of their proximity to Hogwarts.

Mermaids themselves are not skilled in magic and pharmacology, so they are less likely to be interested in these things.

The millennium has accumulated, and the quantity of materials and herbs in nearby waters has accumulated into a terrible figure.

Two months ago, on Ivan's first gift to the mermaid, they were delighted to exchange graffiti, pebbles, shells and all sorts of messy things for Ivan.

At the end of the day, Ivan was forced to accept magic materials and herbs from a few mermaids.

Mermaids were worried that they couldn't find the right thing to swap with Ivan.

Compared to human wizards, their villages are too barren in any case...

Seeing Evan willing to take these things, they felt like they were finally looking in the right direction.

The mermaids began collecting these magic materials and trading them with Ivan.

Over time, the wider the story.

The growing number of mermaids who knew the news evolved into this scenario today.

You know, mermaids, though they look terrible on the outside, are not really evil dark creatures.

Nor are they as arrogant as horses, not communicating with humans, but living in small circles of their clan.

Conversely, mermaids are very enlightened and friendly in character.

They remain in awe and yearning for magic, are willing to make friends with human wizards, and are particularly fond of objects made by humans.

Unfortunately, there are few wizards who come to the mermaid language and are willing to contact them, and wizards who can communicate will not do the same as Evan.

Apart from him, no wizard has traded objects for magic material to meet the needs of mermaids.

At this moment, a strange picture emerges beneath the lake.

A large group of mermaids surrounded the Evans Regiment, and precious magic materials were delivered without money.

Since today is a mermaid tribe and a sacrificial event, more mermaids flock than usual.

They float around Ivan, staring yellow in the eyes, and the palpable teeth in their mouths are yellow.

Each mermaid looked at Ivan and tried to show her face a horrible smile that she thought was good, but didn't seem to have any good intentions.

Of all the things Ivan brought here, the mirror was their favorite and was robbed!

What can I say, this is a little unexpected!

Ivan wasn't sure if these mermaids would be directly scared to cry after seeing their ugly faces in the mirror.

After a few greetings, he irresponsibly threw the whole thing aside for the mermaids to pick for themselves.

Anyway, they were very trustworthy and would consciously leave the magic material in exchange for Ivan to come and collect it.

Ivan walked to the center of the square to find the strong mermaid he had first seen bewitched by magic.

After several contacts, he knew that the other party had a high status in the Mermaid tribe and was a very strong fighter, respected.

Ivan handed over a gift he had deliberately chosen for the other party, and the mermaid said a few words, presumably meaning expressing gratitude to Ivan and allowing Ivan to collect the corresponding magic material from his house after the sacrifice.

“What is this sacrifice you are making?!” Ivan asked directly, throwing out a bunch of bubbles.

“It's just a traditional celebration...” the mermaid said in a dull voice.

He also spits a bunch of bubbles in his mouth, and the mermaid speaks quickly, and there are a lot of places Ivan doesn't quite understand.

In general, however, it was made clear that the sacrifice was left behind by the ancestors of the mermaids and was carried out once a month.

What interests Ivan is that he was told by rumors that the sacrifice was originally made by mermaid ancestors and castle builders.

Over time, the sacrifice has evolved into an event in which the tribe now remembers its ancestors and large gatherings.

In other words, this is likely related to Ravenclaw's treasure key.

Ivan immediately became interested, and after a few conversations he waited beside him for the event to begin.

More than an hour later, more and more mermaids emerged from all directions, amounting to more than 500.

Many of them do not live in the lake, but live in other waters near Hogwarts.

Even in the central lake of the Ma tribe, there are trajectories of mermaid activity.

They came from all directions, and many mermaids looked at Ivan curiously.

They pointed at him and covered their mouths with their hands to whisper.

Ivan brought something that was stolen more than forty minutes ago.

A variety of magic materials and herbs fill his body with two cloth capsules stretched by a seamless stretching spell.

The sacrifice began with the floating of mermaids in the square of a small mermaid village, and Ivan had a very peculiar scene in front of him.

The mermaids swam around slowly, and some of them started singing in unison.

The voice sounds strange, but very pleasant, and the mermaid usually speaks completely differently.

Even the language doesn't seem to be the same, Ivan doesn't understand, but this wonderful song is the one he remembers as a mermaid singing.

They danced and sang around the square, and despite the cold depths of the lake, the atmosphere was getting hotter and hotter.

The so-called ancient sacrifice now looks like a grand celebration.

The mermaids let Ivan join them, and they danced slowly along a special trajectory.

Right in front of the square stands a rough statue: an adult fish carved out of boulders.

When the sacrifice culminated, Evan discovered that a strange fluctuation of magic began to occur throughout the space.

The mermaids themselves and their songs are devoid of magic, Ivan has confirmed!

But the singers seemed to be able to resonate with that giant mermaid statue and cast a strange magic, a magic that only mermaids could use.

Although not very powerful, rumbling sounds continue to sound inside the statue.

Ivan stopped and looked vigilantly at the giant statue.

“Don't worry!” A mermaid next to him smiled and continued dancing.

Shortly thereafter, a deep gap appeared in the tail below the mermaid statue, as if the door had been opened and the lake water poured quickly into it.

The mermaids didn't come in, they were still dancing and welcoming, indicating that Ivan could get in.

Ivan hesitated for a moment, swimming near the gap, looking inside through the light outside...
