Chapter 672: Memories in the Meditation Basin

“What is a meditation basin?” Harry said curiously.

He saw a shallow stone basin in the front cabinet with a strange sculpture at the basin: letters and symbols that he didn't know, and silver light was coming from something in the basin.

These silver lights, I don't know if it's liquid or gas.

Hard to describe, it's like a bright piece of silver, but it keeps flowing, ripples like water in a breeze, and spreads like a cloud, spinning softly, like a light that turns into a liquid, like a wind that condenses into a solid...

Harry suddenly raised an idea and wanted to touch it to see what it would feel like.

But nearly four years of experience in the magic world tells him that it's stupid to reach into a basin full of unknown objects.

So he turned his head and looked at Ivan, who must know exactly what this thing was for.

“Simply put, a meditation basin is an alchemy product used to preserve thoughts and memories in your mind.” Noting Harry's gaze, Ivan explains, "Once we put the memory in it, we can use it to reproduce that memory, and in the way we experience it, those who appear in it will not find that the experience exists...”

He explained to Harry as he gently stroked the meditation basin and carefully wore the huge stone basin in front of him.

Ivan is more curious about how this thing works than how it works.

After studying it for a while, he had to give up. It was too complicated. This meditation basin is far less simple than it looks.

Unless Dumbledore allows Ivan to chop this thing up, there's nothing out there.

“This basin can actually preserve and reproduce memories!” After listening to Ivan's explanation, Harry exclaimed, "It's incredible! ”

“It's incredible!” Ivan nodded.

“What's that letter for?” Harry continued to ask and came closer.

“If you take ancient magic classes, you will know that this is a kind of ancient magic, like Neven, which is frequently used in alchemy.” Evan said, "As for the complex symbols around Neven, which are magic runes that can gather and transmit magic, I've never seen this sort of arrangement before. ”

Harry nodded unconsciously and couldn't help but ask, "Evan, what are these strange silver things? ”

“It's a memory!” Ivan says he lit a little silver object in the meditation basin with his wand.

As his wand entered it, the silver object quickly rotated, becoming more transparent and looking like glass.

Dumbledore put this in, he must have been using it before he could take the memory away.

“Memory!” Harry stunned for a moment and continued, “But...”

“Come on, let's go in and take a look and you'll understand everything!” Ivan said, holding Harry's right hand directly.

“What?!” Harry was surprised.

The next second, he was dragged into the basin by Ivan and his head went down into it.

The scenery was changing rapidly and Dumbledore's office suddenly tipped over.

Harry found that his hair didn't hit the bottom of the basin as he imagined, but entered a strange world.

He fell in a cold, pitch-black substance, as if he had been sucked into a black vortex...

Then he saw clearly that it was a dimly lit house.

Harry thought it might be underground, because there were no windows around, only torches like Hogwarts stuck on a wall stand, and he saw a row of wizards sitting on a stair-style bench around, with an empty chair in the center of the house.

This chair gives a bad feeling because it has a chain wrapped around its armrest and seems to be for kidnapping.

At this moment, he and Ivan were sitting on a bench at the top of that room at the bottom of the basin, higher than any other bench.

He looked up at the tall stone ceiling and tried to find the round skylight, but all he saw was dark, sturdy stones.

The surrounding scene makes Harry feel more like a dungeon.

There is a gloomy atmosphere in the house, with no paintings on the walls, no decorations, only the four dense rows of benches, staircases, and a clear view of the chair with the chain from all the seats.

What the hell is going on, how did they suddenly get here?!

Harry was a little confused, and fortunately Ivan was still with him, otherwise he really didn't know what to do.

“Ivan, where is this place?!” Harry asked softly, sounding strange.

“Didn't I just say that the meditation basin is a prop used to re-experience memory, and we're in it now, in a memory.” Ivan said he sat next to Harry and gauged around with interest.

This is the special courtroom of the Ministry of Magic, where Wesengamo is used to try the most heinous black wizards.

Behind this is a small room with the only key to Azkaban Wizard Prison.

He had been here before, but at that time the courtroom was restricted, far from what now looks like a shock.

In this room, around Ivan and Harry, there are at least 200 wizards sitting.

They look sombre, dressed in ancient fine clothing, mainly dark tones, and put an invisible pressure on people.

“So now that we're in a memory, whose memory is this?” Harry continued softly, breathing nervously and hurriedly, looking around, couldn't bear to scream and echo in a quiet house.

Because he found the man next to him, Albus Dumbledore.

“Obviously, this is Dumbledore's memory!” Ivan said, "We're in his memory right now. Do you remember my earlier explanation about the meditation basin? Here, we are merely bystanders, who will not be noticed, and there is no way to change what is in it, which is just a memory, a memory belonging to Dumbledore. ”

Harry nodded and, despite his heart's readiness, it was incredible.

But that's true, because all the wizards around didn't seem to hear Harry's shock.

They looked somber and stared nervously at the far corner, where there was a door.

The same is true of Dumbledore, who neither moves nor speaks, let alone ignores Ivan and Harry.

Harry hesitated for a moment, raising his right hand suspiciously and waving in front of Dumbledore.

Dumbledore didn't blink, he didn't look back at Harry, he didn't move.

As Ivan said, it's just a memory, not a real world.
